i haven't done anything but have mesh & textures on highest, highest lighting (to enable the PBR). however i lowered stuff like partial shadows (cause of a bug) and reflection resolution/draw distance. i don't use AA, game is at 3440x1440 but video records to 720p.

RTX: Off Vs On? 😆 i should integrate my old RTSR sometime, this is how much my preset wakes up beam's flat and washed out visuals. Normally under these circumstances the observer does not see any lights on the tree or display, only the player engaged in the AI race

I also allow for "practice" runs where you just pull up to the line and go, and the visuals of that are synced as well, observers see the one side of the tree light up, and the correct lane display at the end

What this does not do is allow for freeform player versus player drag racing, however, yes, time slip comparison is easy

Yes the best thing would be player versus player drag racing, but that will need an actual system built to handle it, beyond the visuals that I've worked on

@subtle ginkgo in essence, what I do is, whenever a client indicates a display light should be on or off, due to the events of a drag race, I send the relevant data from that client to all others, I send an event to the server whenever display logic turns a light on or off, and on the remote clients, they get the appropriate light and set it accordingly

The server does no timing

When a drag race is over, I capture and send the time and speed (in m/s) display that on the board in the user's unit preference, say MPH, and on receiving clients, their score board will display that speed in their own preferred unit, perhaps KPH

There's actually a base game drag bug I believe where it only displays speed on the board in m/s

and they dont work on one of two types of light sources the levels can use
