Okay I've been doing some research and cast my first spell this morning, I'm a "Wild Hearth Witch",

I'm 57 and coming late, but always had a deep connection to nature and for as long as I can remember drawn by animal guides, especially robins, that have flown into my kitchen, but I noticed it didn't fly into the window but walked around my kitchen, so started researching and became curious. While researching was drawn by the witchcraft, my kitchen is my sacred place and taking Wild Hearth Witch, as blends Hearth magic, animal connection and nature ingredients.

It's a confusing story, I hope you understand. I grew up with minimal exposure to esoteric topics. On the one hand, I've always been interested in various topics related to witchcraft. But most of the people around me were very critical of any kind of religion, spirituality, etc. I'm generally a very critical (logic-oriented) person and have to analyze everything. My experiences were mostly with strange people from the internet and people who tell you beautiful lies about your life for money. That combination led me away from the subject. A while ago, I discovered a great podcast. One episode was about witches. That gave me a positive and realistic introduction to the subject. I realized that I had apparently been on the wrong track. So I borrowed books on the subject, listened to (meaningful) podcasts, and gathered my own experiences. So I found my way back to “my” witchcraft, so to speak.

Ok not sure where to go with this question and best to ask in beginners chat as I am a beginner.

So this morning I did an alter and room clean and kitchen clean using cleansing water with ground cinnamon, but that's not the issue. I took a nap this afternoon and had this weird dream.

I was sitting in a little cottage in the woods, with an elderly lady, when a middle age woman with black hair entwined with grey walks in and asked who will replace my black ash, a young woman appears and the young woman said you will be fine we will find a way together and we left the cottage together and all around the cottage were loads of different animals and then I woke up.

Any ideas

I've been doing some research and have broken down the dream it's weird and I've even gotten what the question represents
Brigid is commonly invoked as a Triple Goddess figure or syncretized with the Maiden/Mother/Crone archetype, she appeared as all three to me, fire is her flame/forge
I get the comforting feeling she is happy the cleansing is finished and what remains is black ash, but her question is to me as to what will takes it's place, and the young maiden is new beginnings, and because we left together she wants to work with me as she said we will find a way together

My spiritual journey now begins with Brigid as my guide

yes so the thing is that the Triple Goddess is Wiccas goddess.

Unfortunately, there is a large push in the wiccan community to use Brigid and other gods in place of their triple goddess and push their ideals of their gods onto existing ones.

Brigid is not a triple goddess or a madien mother crone figure anywhere but in wiccan communities

If you would like to invoke her that way, that's fine but it's not something that is historically done with brigid as a god.

in celtic neopaganism thats not how shes invoked or practiced with because she has more than 3 roles. and isnt aligned with the maiden mother crone aspect as thats a wiccan concept.

wicca was made in the 50s for reference and brigid has been a goddess since before ireland was a part of the uk.

so its a relatively new ideal for her as a god to be seen through these lenses

im saying all of this as an irish person that works with celtic pagan figures:
those are wiccan ideals not celtic ones, so if your planning to work with her in a celtic pagan way you have to deconstruct the wiccan ideals pushed onto her through a large part of the community.

Ok maybe the wicca idea is not the right way to go on this and maybe it's a symbolic message that still has the same meaning, the old me is gone and new me is just beginning, but the middle age lady is the crossroads, now that I've been cleansed what will I be in its place and the young maiden symbolises a new path that I'm about to begin

As a fellow vivid dreamer- what helped me a bit was meditation/journaling while also “announcing” that I was “turning my gifts off”. I usually imagined a light switch or literally saying “off” out loud. It seems silly, and I’m sure there’s other more effective ways but that’s just what helped me personally. Also cleansing my space helped me a lot too. I usually use frequency music on Spotify or incense/ palo santo (if you’re Latin/hispanic)

I've had a busy few days since Sunday I've been thinking about Anu and Danu, so today I said I am here i hear you will let you know if the shouting stops my deity is Brigid and the Landvættir

Today I want to share something.
So today was a very spiritual and emotional day.

I decided to take a look at the last 4 weeks, well, it actually started earlier. Although I officially took the name Gersemi the Wild Hearth Witch on the 19th January, the day the Landvættir joined me on my journey, it really started the week before 11/12 January, when I started looking into the magical world of witchcraft. On the 15th January, I asked Brigid to be my spiritual guide.

As we near the end of the moon cycle and about to enter a new moon phase, today I felt I was no longer crawling but starting to walk into my path. I know like a child that starts to walk, I may fall and stumble on my journey, but now with Anu and Danu with me, that if I fall in my walk Anu will be there to catch me and if I fall spiritually Danu will be there to catch me. Brigid is the flame that will help to keep my fires burning and the Landvættir, they are my guardians. My journey has had alot of ups and downs, and there will be more to come.

just some tips as a newbie:

• this is hex work; baneful magic as a whole is use of magic to harm people spiritually, physically, or emotionally.
• until you understand why each element is being used I would largely suggest not modifying it, or if you are modifying it, make sure you understand what exactly your modifications do
• please please dont use spellwork from tiktok, not only are large portion of them misinforming you or not made well, there is unfortunately, things like appropriation on that app that is not disclosed.

For what it's worth, this spell seems to be doing what it says it's going to do.

The use of the tears here doesnt seem to be to connect it to you (however I would suggest not using taglocks like that until you know that for sure) but rather connect your pain to the spell to reflect it outwards.

And folding away (typically) does push it to them.

for some other methods tho:

• Sound via music! play a song or playlist you feel is cleansing
• (making this note to answer ur question Yeah! So long as it does like... brake the rock lmao)
• Water left in the sun or moon used to "spray" an area down like air freshener or perfume
• Using air freshener or perfume (bonus; use scents with herbal notes that match intentions!)
• Sun or moon light
• physically cleaning a space (like sweeping mopping vacuuming)
• Keeping rocks like obsidian or kynite around to passively cleanse a space all the time
• ^ similarly keep plants around to act as cleansers

bc im very on energy work so I think earlier in my practice I kinda associated forgetting about them to stop feeding them energy yk

For online stuff, you could also use their username as the taglock I know that's something we've done before. And if you're not sure that's quite enough, you can also pair it with something like a birthday or the name they currently go by

Hi, I'm a beginner and just made my first sigil after watching a couple videos and going through some of the beginner resources. I made it for my plant and activated/charged it by sprinkling a bit of soil on it and running it under water. I wanted to charge/activate it with earth and water energies, if that makes sense. I then folded it put in the soil of the plant and put green aventurine and amazonite crystals over it since they are said to represent earth and water elements. I'm trying to get my plant to be healthy again. Does this method make sense. I have no idea what I'm doing and I'm just winging it. And also is there any advice on working with elemental energy since I'm really interested in it.

Also can be sigil be used to cleanse, when I was going through beginner resources there was something about cleansing and protection being the first things you do. Say if I made a cleansing sigil and then charged/activated with water since I associate that with cleansing how would I go about it?

i think it makes perfect sense! im not double checking the meaning of the things you mentioned but by the way you explained it, it sounds solid. honestly working with sigils and energy in general can pretty much be "wingining it" because its very intuitive. if anything id suggest researching on the elements you are trying to use and the crystals to make sure you have made a solid match on their correspondences/properties but i liked what you did!

(if you dont know the plant name use sth like plant net app to identify it) many people give advice online and it could help

i would say sigils can be used for anything but if your intention is cleansing maybe its better to cleanse and then set protection sigils. this honestly may just be a personal bias tho

since you are interested in elemental magic id suggest looking into water/air for cleansing! for starters cleaning can be considered cleansing itself so thats where you could add the water (washing floors for example) and i personally like to open my windows in windy days for "cleansing" my apartment
