Well what things do you feel express you?

Colors you like, topics your interested in, things you enjoy doing. All of those can be used to further push the idea that this is for you not for others.

Well I mean I like Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, listening to music, Minecraft, 3d printing

Colors I mean I guess black is a mainstay color for me but I'm liking purple and green more lately

This is what I mean, you have to figure out what it is about yourself that you want to express and represent on your own personal altar.

All of this comes from you and what you want/need

Okay, I guess that kind of makes sense

So it's just a matter of asking the right questions of myself, which those might not prove easy to find

I guess I still need to sort of figure out my style and such and what I like in terms of that, because I'm not sure

I know roughly the sort of aesthetic/style/etc I like but I don't entirely know what it's actually called

It's somewhere in the space of grunge/alt/emo/goth/etc

Just not sure where exactly

I have other playmats as well but they're all way more Magic the Gathering-y than this one, which I figured might be a bit too excessive 😅

So out of those I figured that just generic green one was the most appropriate to use in my altar

I kinda keep coming back to this sort of gothic aesthetic for things ||TW: Skull Imagery||
The big like stained glass window style things, intricate details, all that sort of stuff

I particularly like this one

The dragon scale shelf in that first is also kind of cool

But it's a bit more of an outlier in all the gothic stuff 😅

I also found this that I like too, and some of this kind of stuff blends into what I like as well

I guess more at a macro scale of what I want out of my practice as a whole, I'm not entirely sure really. In the short term/micro scale I want what I previously described but I guess I don't really have any idea for long-term/macro scale of what I want out of it. I guess I'm doing it just because it aligns with me in some way, but beyond that I don't really know. Something about it just sits right with me.
