Can it be in 3D?
Can it have any copyrighted characters
& How would we know if we win or lose
Can my art be traditional?
Yes
:D
Fanart is okay! As long as you are following #✅・rules !
yay !
#📰・newspaper and #📸・featured announcements
okay just wondering since there was nothing for the last one
Thank u!
We only got the #📸・featured announcement for the last one
We have decided to change that for the upcoming events
So yes, if you win you will be in the #📰・newspaper ^^
Ahhh I see, thank you
Can I participate
Yes
Ok
How is art really judged? I mean like do a few judges judge them or are there more details to keep in mind
Like creativity, design, etc
Pasted from the previous Q&A thread:
Criteria we judge on are:
- how well your art reflects the prompt you are given;
- general understanding of art in the medium you are working in (proportions, rendering, line of action, color theory);
- stylization and how filled in the artwork feels;
- how creative you are with the execution of the prompt while still managing to keep it prompt related.
Thank youu
How do you participate?
You create underwater themed art and post it in #🔵・submissions !
Does the setting have to be underwater or can it just have water in it😐
How many submissions do we get
can we post 3d and 2d art mix?
can i post 3d and 2d art mix??
Has to be underwater, that's literally the only limit of the event prompt
One per person!
Absolutely
can we create an artwork thats fanwork of a game/show for the ocean event?
also can it be multiple pages
Single page, single artwork for the competition, can be fanart
The only limitation on the type of art it can be is underwater
Only under water, yes
Are we allowed to ask for feedback before submitting?
Yes, #978708583090892830
Ok thx
Can we do anime art as long as we don't steal
Like original one piece art work as long as it's underwater themed
Of course, as long as you are following the server rules^^
What about SpongeBob
Fanart is allowed, as long as it's not traced or heavily referenced.
I did SpongeBob and Squidwards homes, I used references for Squidwards home
And I don't have PayPal, but I do have cash app
If you don't have PayPal, then a Discord Nitro equivalent will be sent to you
can we use sea pic's as refers
Of course!
Can we send multiple images as one submission?
One entry means one piece - one post - one artwork
is it possible to post a artwork that was posted in another channel before? - so premade
No, it needs to be original art made for this competition
Is animation allowed?
Yes
is it okay to post your submission in the other art channels, or is that considered reposting?
No reposting^^
Is there a limit for the size of the piece?
Hey so after the competition is over and announces its winners, are we free to upload our work anywhere else?
You're free to do it right now too, since the winner is not based on the amount of likes
Thanks!
Preferably smaller than 100MB
This sounds stupid but would a piece like this count or no
This isn’t my submission, just an example
Hey, no it wouldn't count
The only limitation is that whatever you have to draw has to be under water
Doing anything less than that would literally be just draw whatever
It really does have to be underwater, I hope that's understandable
Yes LMAO ur good just wanted to see if I could get away w like half underwater
Have a good night 💞
You too!
Hiya! are we allowed to use an online pic for inspiration/reference for the submission piece? ^^
Yes as long as you don't trace it or really heavily reference. Just inspiration is okay
Oki, thanks! Is colorpicking considered heavily reference?
As long as you're not colopicking and doing the exact same scene
Just color picking is okay
Okay, thanks!! ^^
Can I post wip's of my drawings on wip channel?
And when I finish , submit my work to #🔵・submissions
Yes
Thank you
hi !! i have a question, what is the canvas size we should use??
Any is okay as long as it's below 10k pixels!
hello! I have a question, does the number of likes/reactions on an artwork influence the judging for the submissions?
No
Thank youu
someone might have asked this already, but when does the event end?
Check the deadline in the post, it will adjust to your local timezone
Can i post a drawing that ive learnt from a youtube tutorial?
Can i take few references Which are from AI art (not all of them are gonna be AI)?
Do we sign our artwork?
You can^^
No AI references
If we already posted our art before the extra time was given, can we delete the old submission and submit the more polished art?
Yes
Hello world
I will be doing this before the time is up. Is that alright?
You have an hour
That’s all I need.
Resubmitted my polished version and deleted the old one.
Sounds good!
Exactly 30 minutes to go
