Why is the game maintained every week?
I'm sure you know the mobs come in groups. Imagine that I would go around and kill only melee mobs and leave only archers behind. Or I could also drag them to the city center and leave spots without mobs. Would be super annoying. One of the things maintenance does is reset the mobs so that it goes back to normal, but I'm sure there's tons of other technical things that they do in maintenance.
Look at your community board and you should have a maintenance registry topic there. In my country the latest 2 maintenances took 5h and ~3,5h

hi i am playing from the ezreal server, and i am too tired of bots, got to lvl 43 and i simply cant kill metins for the events or even farm monsters in dark temple. I rly hope people aren't spending money on this game, this company doesnt diserve nothing and everyone working to gameforge should go unemployed and never get a job anymore cuz they are too incompetent. It is so disgusting being a new player and everywhere i farm i see bots, the farming ups for equips on this game is totally gone, everything in this game is destryed cuz bots. it was a new server that GameForge announced that would have an old-school look and feel, only parts of the game would be released at launch and then over time they would release more and more. One other such aspect they advertised was that bots would leave this new server "empty handed". This last aspect turned out to be false, as you can see from the multiple reports here

No one said it is oldschool look and feel exactly, but it is right there in the release statement for the amber server. Discovering the original fun without apprentice chests etc sounds very much like "going back in time to oldschool days"
When metin2 released there was only city 1 and 2 of each kingdom + orc valley, exactly how amber was released... And somehow that doesn't qualify as oldschool? 😅
