We apologize for the many recent issues and inconveniences they may have caused. In order to make up for it, we have decided to run the following events on all servers during this weekend:

Today's maintenance include the follow changes:
- Critical/Piercing Strike can be used together with the buff from Waters again, and the percentages add up (once).
- Critical/Piercing Strike can be used together with the buff from Dews again, and the percentages add up (once).
- Dews and Waters cannot be used together simultaneously. (This did not change)
- Buffs from consumable items (e.g for Attack speed, EXP etc.) can be used again before the buff expires. However, they do not accumulate and only the higher buff % is applied.
- Glass of Insight has been fixed.
- Critical and Piercing Strike do again have buff indicators (Waters don’t have them anymore).

Young Hero Weapons and Apprentice Chests will be enabled on the Ruby servers. More information about the new servers such as challenges and potential rewards during the Early access period will be released soon.

Additional Pre-Event Information
Thank you for your feedback regarding the low mission book drop rate in Dong Gwang Plains. For now we have decided to spawn additional Metins which should increase the drop rate there. We will keep monitoring the situation and make further adjustments if necessary.

Soul Event
We have activated the soul event on the Azrael server again. We will monitor the event for the next few hours and if there is a need we will have to turn it off again.

Update on Ruby Servers: due to issues with the tracking of the Horse Quest challenge on Day 7, players who could only complete 63 or 64 challenges will get the reward for the last tier delivered to their depot next week. Players who completed 65+ challenges will still get their reward delivered automatically tonight. No changes there. @everyone
@everyone Due to some technical issues with the ItemShop there are currently no items available apart from Flash Deals. The issue is already being worked on.

We are aware that some players who bought access to the Ruby Servers during the technical issues, are currently not able to play on the server. This is already being worked on, and you should be able to play on the servers within the next couple of hours.

Reduced Mob HP on Soul Event Servers
Unfortunately, we are still facing some technical issues with the Soul Event, which are preventing us from activating it again.
However, we do understand that the Soul Event being deactivated for so long has a negative impact on the affected servers. Therefore, it was decided that the Mob HP will be temporarily reduced by 25% on all servers with permanent Soul Event, including the new Ruby servers.
The changes will be made during the maintenance on the 14th of September.
Please note that this is just a temporary work around and that Mob HP will be restored to normal after the Soul Event is working again.

BUG FIXES
- The kill counter for Deploy Mercs (Repetition) now works in Yohara dungeons as expected.

- Deploying a merc to replace a merc trainer or a wounded merc no longer forces the player to log out.
- Fixed the animations for the Warm Snowcoat costume for female Ninjas.
- Fixed the sound effects played with Lycan monsters.
- Fixed graphics and sound effects with the Enigma General.
- Hunting missions now display the correct monsters again.
- Transferring currency now creates a chat log message.
- Using a Wedding Ring on a married player character no longer creates error log messages.
- Changed the playing time on the Gumsan Tower (Demon Tower) map.
- Chat filter window titles in Arabic are now displayed in the right place.
- When unequipping a Dragon Stone in the alchemy system, the stone is now assigned to the first inventory slot.

- Spirit Stones can once more be used on items which have multiple slots.
- The Aether Ward buff is now visible even after changing armour.

- Player characters can enter the Enigma Temple again without being kicked out.
- Fixed an issue with the Sung Ma Invasion Portal’s bonus damage buff.

- Fixed issues with terrain objects and shadows in the Valley of Seungryong.

@everyone After yesterday's maintenance the Loot Pass is not working as it should. At this moment Webzen is already working on solving the problem. However, the item has been removed from the item shop. We will look into this and see what we can do for all players where the loot pass has expired when the problem with the item is fixed.
Unfortunately, the event had to be deactivated again due to the recurring technical issues.

We are aware of the problem with a mount Golden Doomglider that is currently in the item shop listed with: +20 movement speed; 15% strength against mobs and +5% damage absorbed by HP, ingame it's being delivered with MAX HP +1500, +20% movement speed and 5% damage absorbed by HP, which is wrong, the correct attributes for this mount is what is being displayed in the Item shop +20 movement speed; 15% strength against mobs and +5% damage absorbed by HP. The problem is expected to be fixed during next week's maintenance. All mounts that are currently ingame with wrong attributes will get replaced by the correct attributes.

Dear Players,
Following the shutdown of the YutNori event last week, we have removed several items that were illegally created due to the problem with the event. Only items that were created in this edition of YutNori have been deleted, all other items from past events have not been deleted but if you for example had 100 items from the past and until today spent 10, you will have now only 90, the used items were subtracted from the existing items and not from the illegal ones.
The event will become active again today at 13:00 CEST, with a complete reset. This means that all progression that was made during the time the event was active has been erased.
We also want to talk about the compensation for the problem (now fixed) that happened with the Loot Pass , we will make a 5d Loot Pass (2x per account) and 2d Auto hunting (1x per account) available for free in the Item Shop for all players.
Note: Only accounts with the Orc teeth quest completed can claim this item.
Please also be informed that the Golden Doomglider mount bonuses are fixed in the game.

As you all noticed metin2 server are slow or inaccessible since Friday in the afternoon.
Our tech team is working on a solution mitigate/solve this problem affecting all of our infrastructure.
Due to the above mentioned issue, GBP challenges are not updated anymore but this will be solved and no progress will be lost.

The maintenance is completed. We have identified that there are still some issues where characters may become temporarily stuck for 5-10 minutes. To avoid this situation, we advise against using the 'Exit Game' function. Instead, please switch characters and in the character selection menu, log out and then completely close the game client.
We continue to monitor the situation, apologize for any inconvenience caused.

During the weekend, many of our servers were targeted by DDoS attacks. Our technical team promptly took action throughout the entire weekend and activated various mitigation systems to reduce the impact of this type of cyber attack. The mitigation systems keep the servers operational; however, unfortunately, some players are experiencing connectivity issues with the servers, causing disconnections and other problems.
We continue to monitor the situation closely and are further fine-tunning our system to avoid targeting legit connection and only block the ones from the attacks. We apologize for the incoveniece that this situation continues causing.

We have some bad news regarding the Soul Event for you today. Unfortunately, the problems with the event could not be fixed entirely despite many attempts, forcing us to remove the event from the game. For whoever still has items such as Soul Parchment, we will remove them and exchange them for a certain number of the following items: White Dragon Elixir (S/M/L). However, the exchange rate is not a 1:1, it depends on the items and chance (since Parchment can be normal or 100%).

While following the discussions about the new Hoverboards that were introduced with the update and scheduled to go on sale soon we noticed that something is not working as it is supposed to.
If you watched the videos by our influencers, you could see that the Hoverboard was allowing players to avoid knock down attacks. We would like to clarify that this behavior is a bug and not intended. The issue has been reported and we are currently waiting for a fix.
It has been decided to delay the sale of the Hoverboards (which was originally scheduled for Tuesday the 1st of August) until the Hoverboards are working as intended. Therefore, they will not be available for the time being, even if you see them in the sale advertising.

During the weekend there was a problem with some of the personal milestone rewards on Emerald Servers having a shorter duration than intended after being claimed. The issue was fixed on Monday and all personal milestone rewards will have the correct duration when being redeemed now.
Some players had already redeemed the rewards before the issue had been fixed. Affected players have received the following items during today's maintenance:

- Personal Premium Shop 8D
Furthermore, a few players contacted us via ticket system and reported that they were not able to play on the Emerald servers after purchasing the subscription. We would like to address a recent misunderstanding regarding the changes made to the Summer Event. We apologize for any confusion that may have arisen from our previous communication. We want to clarify the following points:
Change in Event Behavior: Due to updates in the events' user interface (UI), the Summer Event now operates differently. In previous years, there was a period between the end of the drop phase and the end of the event during which players could exchange their scoops. However, this year, this opportunity is no longer available.
Ice Scoop: Unfortunately, at this moment, we are unable to revert the event to its previous state with the same amount of scoop that players had before the event ends.
Moving forward, we are committed to being more precise and transparent in our event announcements to avoid any future misunderstandings.

Following the recent release of update 24.3, Balathor's Revenge, we want to provide a more detailed update on the current situation and the steps we're taking to resolve the issues that have arisen.

Emergency Maintenance: Yesterday, we carried out emergency maintenance to address frequent server crashes affecting specific servers. While this has improved stability for some, we are continuing to monitor and resolve any remaining crashes.

CH5 Server Login Issues: We are aware of specific login issues affecting CH5 on certain servers. Our team is actively investigating and working on a fix to ensure smoother access for all affected players.

Server and Client Crashes: We acknowledge the ongoing server and client crashes that some players are experiencing. These crashes have multiple causes, rest assured we are working on identifying and resolving these problems without further disruption.

Spider Dungeon Issues: We've also identified a problem with mobs in the Spider Dungeon and are investigating it as part of our ongoing fixes.
While we are still actively investigating some of the critical issues mentioned above, we are already preparing a patch that will alleviate most of the crash issues, along with fixes of other known bugs such as the Ninja stealth bug and the bug regarding messaging players who are offline. Please note that while we aim to resolve as many issues as possible, some may not be fully addressed in this patch. However, rest assured that we are committed to tackle all remaining issues as quickly as we can.

We want to give you another quick status update on the issues we are currently facing.
After updating the game to the newest version on Tuesday, we have encountered multiple channel crashes on our live servers. This on its own is already problematic. However, usually the channel would just be automatically restarted, and you would be able to play again. Unfortunately, it currently leads to an error that is preventing players from logging back into the server, giving them a “Your account is already connected” error message.
Most of these crashes have been caused by Meley’s Lair. That’s why we made the difficult decision to prevent players from accessing the dungeon for the time being. We do understand that Meley is a well-liked and highly frequented dungeon. However, if having the dungeon accessible increases the possibility of players not being able to play the game at all, it was the only decision we could make.
We can assure you that both Gameforge and Webzen are working nonstop to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, it does not look like this will be possible this week. Therefore, the Meley dungeon will be inaccessible for a little bit longer.
On Friday (18.10.2024) at 9.00 CEST we will do another quick restart of the servers to minimize the risk of issues over the weekend.
In the meantime, if you are still encountering the “Account already connected” error and want to report it in any of our channels, please make sure to include the country and server name.

- With today's MT we've rolled out a change, removing any grade of Stone of Psyche as a reward from the following boxes: Boot Spirit Stone Pack, Aamon's Lavish Chest, Heart Reward.
- The various Stone of Psyche could lead to server instability in a variety of situations, so we've also removed any Stone of Psyche from inventories & similar storage during the maintenance. We're still preparing an exchange for affected players to compensate for this loss.
- With these fixes applies, we have opened the doors Tyranny of Aamon's dungeons - the Depths of Greed and Heart of Greed!

Dear players, due to the technical issues we experienced yesterday, it is necessary to have a second hotfix maintenance today at 13:00 CET.

@everyone There is a known issue with all quests requiring the kill of Alastor. The quest only completes for players who are close to Alastor when he is defeated, so all group members need to stay within close range for their progress to be registered.

Some players experienced failed transfers from Azrael because the transfer process was confused by some of you with the merge and certain preparations were not completed, including having items in the 6th/7th NPC, missing the required free character slot on the destination server, or other similar issues.
To resolve this, we will run up to three new automatic transfer attempts through our internal system. These attempts will apply to all characters that were registered for a transfer from Azrael but failed, and each attempt will be made to the originally chosen destination server. No ticket is required. Players will not receive the initial transfer email, but they will receive a notification if the attempt fails.
Please make sure that:
- No existing guild membership (if so, you must leave it).
- Unmarried (otherwise a divorce is required).
- At least one free character slot on the target server. If your account currently has more than five characters, the extra characters must be deleted so that the account has a maximum of four characters before the transfer.
- Cannot have any items which are currently being augmented with a 6th or 7th bonus.
- Your character must not have an active Premium Shop.
- Your character must not have any Yang left with the village Guardian after a guild territory auction.
These conditions must be fulfilled to ensure a successful transfer. Please review them carefully before the new attempts begin.

We are aware that many users have questions right now because of the recent cheat blocker ban wave. It certainly does not help that there are a lot of rumors and misinformation being spread through various channels. The false positives that are being referred to, occurred during the first cheat blocker ban wave - last year. Accounts that had been wrongfully banned have already been re-opened back in the day. Since then the system has been adjusted and provides accurate results now. In addition, fringe cases are also being checked manually by the department working on the cheat blocker before an account is banned. Unfortunately, that means that we cannot re-open your account.
We will release a statement by our Product Manager in the forum soon, which should answer most of the open questions and will hopeful end some of the rumors.

thanks for your reports concerning the elemental damage. We have already informed WebZen and will talk to them tomorrow morning to discuss the impact and find a solution. We are confident that we will be able to give you news on this topic in the course of the day.
We did not intend to plant such a large increase in elemantary damage on you. We knew that the update that we were able to roll out today would provide us with adjustments, but most of them were cosmetic changes and improvements to the display system.
Since we naturally focused more on the new map for the bazaar and the offline premium store when testing the update to give you the best possible gaming experience, the effects on the elemental damage were not part of our test cases and unfortunately slipped through. This was not intentional and surprised us as much as it surprised you tonight! Anyways, we promise you that we are working hard on a solution.

We constantly read your feedback and try to go towards you as much as possible.
Your feedback was instrumental for convincing WebZen to change some aspects of update 20.5 and we tried to put the changes live as soon as possible.
The original space of the Bazaar was, as many of you have pointed out too small in size, so it was enlarged significantly. We know it looks boring but WebZen has no time at the moment to fill it with fluff like trees and benches. We know it sounds easy to just place things but there is a lot of testing involved like checking spawns, possibilities to get stuck etc. We already asked WebZen to make the map more beautiful but that might take a while.
We did get the feedback, that it should be possible to walk through the shops. Even though it is not a thing we normally do in Metin2, we removed the collision from the shops.
Some clients couldn’t handle the load, crashed and were not able to log in anymore because the Bazaar was available on one channel only. Hence, we decided to change the system, making the Bazaar available on multiple channels. Now you can just log in again in a less crowded channel. It might even be helpful, if you made themed channels like “Alchemy on channel 1”, “Upgrade items on channel 2”, … that would help lowering lags.
This will come in the maintenance today. Please note that all shops will be closed due to that change – the premium ones, too.
Some of you complained about, that it takes away the PvP from map1. We heard you and while there are no plans to allow PvP in the Bazaar, we will activate the Empire Battle on all servers permanently. Originally it was only planned for special servers, temp servers and special events but we want to provide the PvP enthusiasts among you with a place, were you can participate in meaningful PvP. The Empire Battle will be active each week from Thursday evening to Sunday evening and the buffs from it 5 days afterwards. Details will be given in a separate announcement.
We also heard, that you don’t like the fact that the Premium Shop is mainly a premium item. It is a premium item but it will be obtainable for free in some occasions. During the Dark Seers event, that is running right now, you can obtain the Premium Shop is a possible reward from Silver and Gold Boxes. But primarily it will be offered in the ItemShop. In the beginning we want to see the effects first and won’t give it out en mass. Meaning it won’t be permanently in the shop for now. Currently, we only give it out in controlled environments like the Wheel or during a Flash Auction. Speaking of the Auction: we do realize that the starting price was way too high. Our apologies – that won’t happen anymore.
But the Premium Shop won’t be for free in general. It is clearly a convenience feature with no influence on “winning”. We actually have other items in the Shop, that some might consider pay2win but the Premium Shop is not one of them.
We try to provide as much free content as possible. Only recently a completely new continent was released, or the World Boss event or all other events in general, where you can farm premium items. Some features and items need to be pay only to keep the game running and for free; and those items can not only be unwanted items but interesting ones, too.
Besides that, a boost event has started today, that grants you bonuses to EXP and item drop chance; hopefully that compensates a little for the hassle.
Furthermore you will be able to get a free face mask, a daily pet and 4 Bookss of the Leader+ every day for the next 3 weeks.

As there seems to be a lot of speculation on various channels regarding the recent bans, we would like to provide you with some further information.
Over the past couple of months, we have made some modifications to our Cheatblocker in order to fight bots more efficiently. It will now detect and ban bots immediately. On Tuesday, we activated the new system on the live servers for the first time.
The Cheatblocker did detect an amount of bots that was higher than we expect. But it had also been set up to be very sensitive. It was always our plan to do manual re-checks of these bans. That is why we decided to do it on maintenance day, because it would give us the necessary time to do so.
Once the checks had been completed, we unbanned some of the accounts again, and only kept the accounts banned where we are absolutely certain that they have been using bots.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but we could obviously not inform you about this beforehand.
It is and will always be our goal to make sure that our servers are as bot free as possible so our regular players can enjoy the game.

We would like to thank you once again for voicing your opinion and sharing your feedback with us.
Today we proceeded with further checking and evaluation of the latest CB updates, and we noticed a few irregularities in specific cases that require additional testing and investigation. Therefore, we decided to stop the automated system, remove all pending bans from the queue earlier today and to lift all recent bans related to the latest Cheatblocker update.
We are doing this because checking all of the accounts manually would simply take too long, and for the sake of any affected players who were playing fairly, we want to act as quickly as possible. The goal behind having an automated system has always been to do something for our loyal community that has been plagued by bots for far too long, but we want to make sure that there are no false positives, even if it only effects a small fraction of the banned accounts.
For clarities sake, we would like to point out that this does not mean all of the bans were incorrect – the vast majority of accounts that have been detected were confirmed to be bots after additional evaluations.
We will start unbanning all accounts that have been banned in March as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it may still take some time until all the affected accounts have been unbanned, but the process has already been started. Please do not submit any support tickets regarding these bans, your case is already being handled and it is not necessary.
Additionally, we will be looking into prior bans (e.g. from last year), depending on the outcome of these investigations. We will provide further details as soon as we have the results.
As this question will certainly come up: we are aware that your pets, costumes, items and so on may have expired while your accounts have been banned. We are looking into possible compensations for the affected accounts as well. Unfortunately, we cannot provide any details at this time. Please stay tuned.

A few days ago, we announced that we started a thorough investigation looking into the latest Cheatblocker updates after receiving an increased amount of feedback from our communities regarding potential false positives in the latest ban wave.
While reviewing the results, we noticed a few irregularities in specific cases that required further testing. We immediately stopped system and removed all pending bans from the queue. The process was complex and took a lot of effort – some of our colleagues worked on this continuously for over 40 hours – but we finally managed to reproduce a false positive in order to verify some of the claims and be able to take further actions. Although vast majority of bans have been verified as correct, re-checking every single one would have taken too long and we wanted to avoid locking out affected players for an extended period of time. Consequently, we decided to remove all bans and associated strikes that resulted from the latest Cheatblocker updates, dating back to December 2020.
Today, we want to give you another update on the situation with additional insights as we look together to the future. First, and most importantly, we want to apologize to every falsely detected player who has been negatively affected by this. As previously stated, the intention behind the Cheatblocker has always been to serve our amazing global community in our continued efforts to combat botting and cheating. There, we have failed many of you and for that we are sincerely sorry.
Therefore, in light of recent testing and analytics resulting from our investigation on the matter, and given the fact that our communities do not trust the system, we have decided to permanently discontinue the use of Cheatblocker as one of the various measures we utilize to combat botting. As a result, we will also be removing Cheatblocker bans and associated strikes that have been issued before December 2020 to accounts redeemed during the ongoing assessment. Affected players will receive an email once their account has been unbanned, and will be compensated in the near future, so please make sure your account and email info are up to date. Unfortunately, we will not be able to send emails to Steam Users. There is no need to submit support tickets for this matter, as the team is already hard at work looking at all types of cases.
To be clear, we will not end our efforts to combat bots. We have a variety of processes at our disposal that have shown ongoing beneficial results. As we move forward, we continue to focus on these instead of Cheatblocker’s use and updates. These other tools are developed in-house and not by another company, giving us greater control over them as well better insights into these systems.
Additionally, we will re-evaluate our internal processes, and put some additional security measures in place in order to prevent something like these ban errors from happening again.
Many of you have asked why it took us so long to react and are unhappy with the support you have received in this matter. As this is a complex subject, it is not easy to provide you with a short answer. Unfortunately, we were never able to produce any false positives on our end – until now. Ever since the system has been introduced, we have been in continuing, detailed discussions with the developer of the system in order to eliminate potential false positive and ensure the integrity of the bans due to the applied detection method. We want to stress that the Community Managers, Support and teams took your feedback seriously, thoroughly checked your cases, collected as much information as possible and forwarded it to the responsible people. Since the developer of the system ensured us everything was working as intended, and we could not produce any false positives on our end, management decided to continue with the system, and not remove any of the strikes. Ultimately, we trusted the system more than we should have.
There is not really any suitable compensation to make up for the trust some players may have lost in us. However, we tried our best to come up with something that will hopefully work for everyone. The compensation will be given out in several steps over the course of the next few weeks to reduce the overall duration of the weekly maintenances. Unfortunately, they might still take a little longer than usual. The following compensation will be given out to affected players:
affected players will receive a compensation package that will be delivered to their depots during this week’s maintenance.
players who have been banned during March 2021 will receive: 1x Manny (7D), 1x Gryph (15D), 1x Personal Premium Shop (7D), 1x Amulet of Eternal Love (15D), additionally Premium Buffs will be added to the account for 7 days.
players who have been banned before March 2021 will receive: 1x Manny (15D), 1x Gryph (30D), 1x Personal Premium Shop (15D), 1x Amulet of Eternal Love (30D), additionally Premium Buffs will be added to the account for 30 days. Please note that accounts which have been banned before December 2020 will receive their compensation during one of the next maintenances after their accounts have been unbanned.

The duration of the ban time will be added to the birth and death time of the pet. Even before spring arrives in the three kingdoms of Metin2, we present to you two well-known events in which you can grab some big rewards and level up your heroes:
EXP Boost and Drop Events
Get a hearty 200% EXP boost and look forward to daily events with 50% more drops for all servers which don’t already have permanent drop events.
- Event starts: 4/3 at midnight CET
- Event ends: 6/3 at 11:59 PM CET
Metin Fever
Caution: Metin Fever is on the rise! Destroy the Metin stones and face off against menacing bosses – Beran-Setaou, Jotun Thrym, Mysterious Monk and many other enemies are carriers of hefty loot!
- Event starts: 5/3 at midnight CET
- Event ends: 6/3 at 11:59 PM CET
Destroy 5 Metin stones in your level range (from level 30) and receive 1 Challenge Scroll daily. With this scroll you can summon a special Metin stone which you must destroy to face an especially difficult opponent.
Once you have defeated the boss, grab their treasure and, with a little luck, another Metin stone will appear which can call an even stronger enemy to the scene. If you also defeat this one, you’ll find out how virulent Metin Fever can be: there is a chance of progressively more devastating opponents coming your way, and it will test all your skills to defeat them. Of course the rewards will be great!
Tip: Luck is on your side on the continent of Yohara – the probability of even more dangerous bosses appearing is much higher in Yohara.

Dear Players,
We would like to address the confusion regarding the recent changes to the Trading Glass and Cashmere Bundle offers.
The Trading Glass used to be a premium item available in the shop for Dragon Coins. Back when the Trading Glass was bugged, it was decided to remove the offer from the Shop and make it available for Dragon Marks with a 1:1 conversion. Because it is a frequently used item, we did not want to remove it completely and still make it available for players without having to pay Dragon Coins due to the technical issues some players were experiencing.
After the item had been fixed, we did not revert it back to the Dragon Coin offer, and left the Dragon Mark offer in the Shop, allowing players to still get the item without having to spend Dragon Coins, even though the technical issues had been fixed.
After almost a year, it was decided to switch back to the original Dragon Coin offer. Some of you complained about this change, as the item had been available for Dragon Marks for a very long time, perhaps forgetting about the reason this change was made in the first place. Unfortunately, due to a mistake, the 7 day Trading Glass was put in the shop with the wrong price of 50DC instead of 39DC, further adding to the complaints. This mistake was already corrected. The price was changed, and the difference in Dragon Coins has been refunded.
That being said, we did take your feedback into consideration, and beginning on the 5th of May 0:00 CET will put an additional Trading Glass offer, available for Dragon Marks, in the shop. The item will have a 7 Day duration and cost 39DM. You will be able to purchase it twice per month (30D counter starts on the 1st of May) per account.
Additionally, we have also put the Cashmere Bundle back in the item shop with the original 9DC offer.
