We have stared playing the game with my companion yesterday. We chose to be sura and lycan, mostly going together hack and slashing.

We are still commuting between the first and second villages and areas, just tried ape-dungeon without much of a luck.

Not sure how to get a steady amount of Yang or what items to grind/look for/keep, so far we are mostly selling everything to a shopkeep.

We would really appreciate some general tips and tricks, routes, guides, any rule of thumb with inventory-management/farming/levelling.

I’d say to keep every item except weapons, armours ecc... (you can sell them or keep if you want to use them)
The reason is that you still don’t know what is useful for yourself later on and you don’t know what is worth some money.

Make a second character and use him to store the item you find and meanwhile gain knowledge about those items, use the wiki and/or see if someone sells them in their shop.

Remember that prices changes throughout the year based on the demands and offers.

I have several more questions, actually!
I have been farming ever since, exp starting to fade lower, level 26, not tried monkey dungeon again yet.
My problem is, there is no real guide or waterlines on the internet for example for gearing/progression. What items should I be looking for, what gear I should be using and where to get them from, how much each thing is worth, what and how to sell 😦

Can you help me how and what gear should we aim for? Presumably want a normal gear from lvl30?

Don’t try the monkey dungeon (useless from my perspective)
To sell from metin stones:
Books (check the price on your server)
Stones (same, check the price)
Upgrade items from second village
As a basic gear you ca use the weapons from lv (each 10 lv you will receive an weapon which is really good) then try to purchase an lv 30 weapon (full moon sword)
Armor lv 18/24 with 1,5-2k pv
The rest of the items can be +6 basic items
There are a lot more things to say and advices to give but hopefully this will help you

@raven gust There is an optimization problem in the game. CPU is running high level because the game cannot use threads properly. Many PC have quad-CPUs and the game cannot use these CPUs.
Temporary solution is, first run task manager and open details panel. After that, find the metin2 in details panel and press right click. Then, select set affinity and activate only one CPU (for example CPU3) for all running metin2 clients. CPU that was selected have to be same for all running clients. You can look dropping of CPU level.
Can you report this problem to the gameforge? The game cannot use multi-processor after last update.

I have last gen Full AMD and a 1tb SSD toshiba and i got overload of writes declared by task manager from metin2 client. my pc literally runs last gen games at 4k running clean and smooth without making my pc go wild. Guess what, on Metin2 1 client or 2 make my pc fans go wild just to combat the amount of overwrites memory ram loss and of course the CPU.. but metin showed me for the first time that my brand new pc can go 100% usage on cpu and disk. Thats surreal.

guys i found a solution for the cpu problem so first go to control panel > programs and features > uninstall a program > doubleclick on gameforge client worked for me and as a bonus you get to lose 20kg aswell
