I want to inform you the the event Catch the King is the worst thing that I've seen in this game. Not only that most characters that are online farm with auto-attack (so they are basically bots), but I have not even a square meter of space to farm my dragon cors in map 2 (although this might be the case for most of the maps in the game). While I'm writing you this, I've just realized that not Catch the King event is the problem, but the auto-attack (or to be more precise, the fact that you can use auto-attack during this event). I plan to uninstall this game and never come back. just because you don't care at all about the players THAT ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME (THAT MEANS THAT THEY ARE THE ONES WHO PRESS THE KEYBOARD, NOT A DAMN AUTO-ATTACK OPTION).

I literally have no place where to farm and play the game, cause of 10000 characters in map 2.

fun fact tigerghost can be the last bot-free server (relatively) because we know that bots after farm the wons they can buy 4 coupons each and buy access which is kinda unlimited for them as long as they bot, for tigerghost tho they will need ask for so many codes to be efficient and i guess content creators got some list who to give who not etc.
ofc you can't prevent 100% the bot stuff but cool that there is at least one server which may be in long term last hope for players who still want to play

The Gameforge team and the GM teams can't handle the existence of so many bots; they need to block/close registrations on the Metin2 servers.
It's impossible to play with so many bots; there's nowhere to play our game. From level 1 to 95, it's impossible to farm, level up, etc.

there is alot of videos people recorded to show the size of problem on open servers, from iberia, italia, europe, polska, romania etc, there is still no reaction and it is going like that for a good time already, isn't like it started a week or two ago

GF hide it behind the fact that "anticheat" has to come from Webzen - sure okay, but GF can close servers for "new" players/registrations to make very first, maybe little but reasonable step in to fixing it, but for some reason they won't, which makes the problem growing over the limit

just in february there was 40k accounts banned on just polska, yes 40k they said and on it doesn't changed a thing, still unplayable, so i bet the botted accounts combine from all the servers is in so big numbers already + they keep comming because they let it

funny enough the botters started to buy out coupons just to buy the server passes to expanse on the paid servers, the future isn't as bright sadly, but lack of actions makes it like how it is going

only real solution for bots would be every mail creating providing id + verification video 3-4 seconds like betting sites does but that would require a lot of gameforge team work to check every application i think they would pref to have bots everywhere than do that

even without ai, there must be some tools to use measuring some player statistics like player movement, rotation, dps, ect, then comparing it to how it should look had the player would not use a hack idk

We all wait for some gameforge solve for the botting problem , in my opinion any anti cheat is out of discussion and they should use ingame bariers to slow down and make bots less profitable ,but if i watch the current 2026 gaming status is extremly bad , kinda every game is infested with cheaters and i personaly dont saw any anti cheat that can work on long term without the usual cat and mouse play, there are some games with few cheaters usually hard strategic games with a lot of micro decisions. But lets see the shooters, full of cheats cs2 valve a.i anti cheat garbage, faceit kernel level anti cheat better but still there are closet cheaters with expensiv cheats.

I highly doubt that , the cheats that work on metin 2 oficial are not gonna work on most of the private servers , so the company that makes the cheats need to remake it to the specific private server what is not gonna happen because private servers has very weak black market, its all about money man always was always bee.

Its not even a real cheat , its named wait hack that makes artificial packet losses , and because the game net coding is spagheti level way to old can be exploited.

Its like when u lag and u froze for 3 sec than all dmg is done in 1 ms , that what the cheat do to and to do an anti cheat that bans bots with wait hack and not the legit player who lags on this very old game is tough
