The boat mode is a bit different but the normal mode is just regular AK with another player who has their own set of Ops.

Except each Op can only be used by one player at a time. If any ops exist in both teams then the game makes you and your partner take turns picking which of the duplicate ops until there aren't anymore. Then you just fill any remaining slots with ops from your b team.

it's a 4th damage type that bypasses def and res similarly to true damage. generally operators only deal elemental damage during "elemental burst", which is the state where the elemental injury circle is recharging after its filled.

in thorns' case, he deals elemental injury based off a % of the damage he deals to an enemy. during the elemental burst, his talent 2 that deals arts damage-over-time switches to elemental damage.

the elemental burst itself activating also deals a big chunk of damage as soon as the circle is filled, and nervous impairment specifically has the unique effect of dealing "paralysis", which is shown as a lightning bolt above the enemy's head that blocks 3 enemy attacks
