Almost all projectiles are target locked, so slowing them down is just delaying it, there are few projectiles taht can be blocked but they also tend to be slow so you can block them with or without s3

lets say we have 3 tiles between the edge of logos s3 range and an operator and the projectiles are launched every 3 seconds, traveling at 1 tile per second (0.05 tiles/second inside s3)
the first projectile reaches logos s3 boundary when the 2nd projectile is 3 tiles behind
when the 2nd projectile reaches logos s3 the 1st projectile is 3 seconds or 0.15 tiles into his range
both then travel at 0.05 tiles per second
there are 0.15 tiles between the projectiles each traveling at 0.05 tiles per second, therefore there are still 3 seconds between the projectiles

The only thing that really matters is the time it took for the first projectile to land after activation. That extra time gives your ops to regen a bit or sp or heal previous damage before that first projectile lands then the rest will land at the same interval they normally would unless the skill ends or you manually retreat logos

Story stages will let you use pretty much whoever you want.

If you run into issues clearing something with the OPs you have you can always friend some people and use their strong units to help you out.

There's some harder optional content that are picky about your comp but story not so much. Stronger units just generally mean you take less attempts to clear a stage. There's no sanity penalty for failing anymore so you can just retry as much you want anyway.
