this is what I usually do, placements and strats vary. this works for d12 at max since I'm a peasant. yellow circle is where he stops running, red boxes are where I place my blockers

be mindful of your paradigms. if you have non linear action he is faster, meaning his stopping points are not the same. the placements here give you a maximum of leeway. so should still work regardless

I'm usually more schizo with my placements so I place my blockers way earlier
