Gavial can work at e1 as well, tbh 4* are cheap so perfumer/gavial are mostly fine to raise unless you're really poor. I also myself raised them as a beginner even tho I couldn't get use from them as much myself

there is also purestream which you ideally raise to e1 for base anyways, and she can also be used in IS. But I am unsure of her performance in chapter 8 as your only healer. So perfumer/gavial is fine

When thorn alter event re runs you can get rose salt who is also a decent aoe healer in case you still don't have Ptilopsis till that point
