Level up your 3 stars first. Since 6 stars are very very hard to level up considering the material costs.
Use the free elite 2 that you were given for free to upgrade your 5 stars.
Preferably these 5 stars:
Specter, Lappland, or any 5 stars you like. As you need it to unlock e2 supports in the stages.
If you haven't used the free 5 stars you have been given with, I highly recommend getting Lappland/Specter(pick your poison.) And for the other one pick projekt red or maybe silence or Liskarm, idk much about 5 stars so idk which is the better option to pick out of the 4.

Or if a single unit or skill or trust value changes that can change things too
