Hi, sorry for the inconvenience, I recently got an Elgato HD60S and when I use it to connect my Nintendo Switch to my PC I get big lags and sound bugs, when I go through OBS I have pretty much the same problem but a little less lag but enough for it to still be annoying. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers several times, rebooted my PC, tested with lots of different cables, on another PC, and watched a lot of tutorials on Youtubes and on the official website. I can't figure out where the error is coming from

Hello all! Could use some help. I am wanting to hear all of my audio through my headset and I can't seem to get the sound alerts to do that. My setup is a PS5 running through an elgato HD60x to MacBook Pro (Ventura 13.5.1 ). OBS is 29.1.3. Headset is Turtle Beach Recon 500 which I have connected to the capture card with a Chat Link Pro. Hey I need help with my HD60 S+ -- I use an HDMI splitter because the output has never worked for me and I stream from my PS5 using my computer with a monitor for the gameplay and I'm trying to set it up because it started randomly flickering and turning pink out of nowhere so I tried switching the Output to be the monitor display instead of using an HDMI splitter and it just straight up doesn't work

We dont recommend splitters, make sure HDCP is disabled on your ps5, and ensure your computer meets system requirements

Sounds straight forward. The resolution you're outputting is higher than the resolution the hd60x can handle

I am trying to capture my switch with my Elgato HD60 Pro, i launch the 4K game cap software and play my game for a little bit (about 3-4 minutes) and then my whole pc crashes. No BSOD just complete freeze? I have also tried the older Game Capture software and that doesnt seem to help either. All my driver etc are updated correctly. Sometimes whenever elgato rolls out an update they will fix an issue but might accidentally cause another issue

So I experimented and used a different USB cord and what is weird was this

The screen wouldn’t display

BUT

The volume worked PERFECTLY

on top of that what I realized was this

My original USB cord when wiggled would freeze frame on my OBS losing signal

So my conclusion would be that I need a new usb since my audio works great when I insert a different usb

hello people. ive had a problem with my elgato hd60 that i bought. im trying to use it so i can use my laptop that i just bought as a streaming dedicated laptop to lighten the load on my gaming pc. i have it all hooked up with a usb in my laptop and the hdmi plugged into my gaming pc's gpu. I have tried setting it all up and i have no problem with setting up the display but THE AUDIO MAN. the audio has been having major problems. im using a steelseries arctis pro with gamedac and a shure sm7b xlr mic plugged into my behringer UMC22 that all goes into my gaming pc. i have been told that the hd60 uses audio passthrough with the hdmi to give my laptop all the audio needed, but when trying to use this ive ran into many problems. im not sure what the issue is exactly but as for audio capture on the x, yet to work out the hdmi capture but you can use aux cable or chat link pro to the port on front of card

Hey guys just bought and started using the 4k60 Pro MK.2. Quick question when duplicating displays with the capture card CS:GO's fps gets limited to the refresh rate of the monitor 240hz and when I take it off duplicate it returns to a fps above my refresh rate which I prefer.

P.S. using a two pc setup with the output of my gaming computers graphics card going into the in slot of the capture card on my streaming pc.

Any work arounds or ways to fix this?

Hey guys I have the elgato hd60x and everything is working just fine from audio and visuals, I just have a slight problem and I’m not too sure if it’s possible to even fix or allowed

So I play on my iPad Pro and have an adapter connected to the elgato and my pc

And my mic is connected to the pc and aswell as my headphones so I can hear the in game audio

But my teammates say my microphone from the actual iPad sounds bad

So I tried connecting my mic which is blue yeti from my pc to the adapter itself

And that’s when the imput audio cuts out and the stream doesn’t pick it up

Is it possible to have two mics connected like one to the pc to still pick up sound and audio and one to the adapter

Or am I just allowed one usb mic

But theoretically it should be possible if the adapter doesn’t nog all the power from the capture card to the mic

Hi. I'm having a bizzare issue with my audio right now. When I play switch games the audio will start to drift after 30ish min. I messed around with some settings on obs earlier so maybe that was it but ik not sure what to change back. I'm hoping it's not my el Gato acting up but it's possible. Anyone have any ideas?

Just saw the screen shot. Did you creat 1 or 2 sources? 1 video, muted, and 1 audio monitor and output. Try the 2 source method, and see if it resolves itself..

Question. So I'm trying to stream from my steamdeck using my elgato capture card. So I have the elgato running through the streamdeck dock to a tv. Problem is that the elgato is picking up the sound and video, but I can't get any sound from my headphones without taking the sound away from the elgato. From what I read the streamdeck is not compatable with sending audio two ways, is there any solution to this though? I can't steam a game without hearing what's going on, and I don't want to take the game sound away from my viewers so I can hear it myself

Hi guys I have a question, so I have a 4k60 pro MKII which I use to stream from my Xbox series x, however I want to be able to hear my pc audio for alerts as well as still hear my Xbox audio which I know I can do from stream labs, I’m just wondering if the audio of my Xbox through the pc would be exactly the same as if my headset was still plugged into my controller. I ask this as I still want to be able to hear my Xbox loud and clear through my pc as if I was actually listening to it through my Xbox as normal. I’d appreciate any help!

What's causing it?

That's showing the 4K60S+, not the HD60S+ - it is capable of recording in 4k.

You're getting a 1080p source signal from the Switch (as the Nintendo Switch only goes up to 1080p60), but you've got your record options set to 2160p (4K UHD). That would cause it to be blurry from upscaling as well as the fact you're only using a bitrate of 17.5 Mbps for 4K video. Set format on the recording tab back down to 1080 and see if that helps. That said, you're not going to get 4K passthrough from a Nintendo Switch you've mentioned you're using, because the Switch isn't capable of 4K.
As for OBS quality issues, that would depend on what settings you're using in that. Good luck

i'd make sure the settings of your Xbox are set to 1080P before plugging in ther capture to see if it works at that resolution first

I don't think so. It's weird because my TV still gets signal from the capture card but it doesn't show up as anything more than a black screen in obs or sometimes black screen or no signal in the elgato 4k capture software

I did have some weirdness on a PS5 capture during Spider-Man Miles Morales as well that lasted for FAR longer, but I think that was just the game being weird

Wave Link buffer is set to Medium, I can also give Large or Small a try

Okay, this is with switching the buffer length while recording. All the other virtual devices (e.g. Wave Link Voice Chat, etc.) work perfectly fine, it's just the capture card audio input that I added in Wave Link that has these issues

Edit: Okay, I did a long recording just now since it was going on for what felt like FOREVER, and I couldn't fix it with restarting Wave Link.
I am gonna try not adding it into Wave Link as an input source but instead using "Listen to this device" in Windows and setting it to output on the Game device instead

Edit 2: And nevermind again. With Listen to this Device I get audio crackling after some time. I have a weird thought that my card might have a defect 😦

Hey guys, having some trouble with Rog Ally.

• With 4k60 Pro, i get image in and out all the time at every resolution and Hz;
• With HD60s+, i get image in and out but more stable changing the Hz. Even get 30 minutes of pure stable image at 59Hz;
• With CamLink, works perfect but get limitation at 30Hz of corse.

Tested on:

• Macbook Pro 2013
• My streaming PC Windows 11
• Old Windows 10 PC
  And all get the same results.

OBS: i used 2 different dockstation too and get same. Connected directly to an monitor or tv dont get any issues.

I love the idea of mobile, did you know that the iPad Pro has this beta app currently where you can actually record plug-in play with the HD 60 X it’s pretty awesome. Sadly, there’s no audio on it yet but that might help you with your mobile set up in the future once things change a bit.

turn on vrr and if your tv supports it, low latency. allow 4k, and hdr if you want high dynamic range. also change your setting 1440p 120 vs 60.

I think is something with “Active Signal Mode” on AMD Graphics.

If you select any Hz, it will display 3840x2160 and keeps losing connection, but if you select 120Hz, it will change to 1920x1080 and get stable

Hey Guys,

my Elgato HD60x worked before I moved to another house.

Now I can hear sound in the 4k Capture Utillity App but there´s always a blackscreen.

I´ve tried to enable HDCP and deactivate and reactivate the Capture Card in my Settings. Nothing worked - please help

i just bought the hd60 s+ but i cant find the drivers on the website ? how do i install it

enabling hdcp isn’t going to have anything appear. Disable it, and maybe I can walk you through it.

Diabled it but the red light is still flickering.

My 4K Capure sometimes says ^No Signal^ ^just a Blackscreen^ or ^Device is used by another App^ ~> but I dont know where the Elgato should be active

in should be connected to your console/gaming, PC, out should be connected to your TV/gaming monitor. The USB-C should be connected to the capture card, and the other in the USB should be connected to a usb 3.0 port, on your streaming PC.

So I am struggling hard. I have the Elgato HD60x and I have everything plugged in, the light is blinking red, it says device not found, but it is working with my monitor with how its plugged in like if I change to the other HDMI channel I can play like as if it was directly plugged in but its going thru the elgato so I don't know what I'm doing wrong any tips?

I have my hdmi in switch to hdmi in, usb in usb to back of computer where I have 4 usb slots, hdmi out into monitor's hdmi 2 slot

I am on windows 11 I think, have the Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop, nintendo switch OLED, and the acer nitro xf273 if that is helpful information

For whatever reason, my HD60 S is not lighting up. Its not white, red, or anything. I've verified a lot of the troubleshooting steps to include unplugging and waiting a minute.

When I initially plug in my USB to the el gato, it blinks white like 3 times and then nothing

so I changed to the usb on the front of the pc and now the light is a solid white/lightblue/light purple and then I restarted switch and now its blue and it still says no devices found

after looking at more stuff it says it should be in USB 3 which is blue

when in USB 3 blue slot it blinks red

but still no devices found

it is now saying invalid resolution but when I change the resolution there's nothing there
