eventually people will learn that deep calling attracts them, until then it'll just be an everybody for themselves situation i think. i didn't deep call a single time and i also didn't get knocked down at all, however 3 or 4 people in my server got knocked down due to spam deep call and it was too laggy to help them up

Very off topic but the last time I pulled an all nighter like this was back in 2019. I have bad insomnia so I basically watched marks stream on who killed markipliar and some painting restoration videos. I remember getting a cup off coffee at 5 am and watching a silent voice cuddled up with my blankets. It feels like that but instead I have more people to share that experience with.

i think the main problem with the whole forced teamwork is 1. the server split issues. Not to mention its a hassle to even get to the ark because the boat is bugged 2. not everyone likes to play with a group. It's definitely not solo player friendly 3. the location is different depending if you are a switch or mobile player

pretty sure the switch/mobile thing is a glitch. it is a social game after all, don't be surprised when there's forced interactions. i went solo to the first one and we did just fine, in the end after server splits (or maybe people leaving because they lost too many WL and ragequit? ) there were only 3 of us and we still got the max 4AC. it isn't that bad as a solo player, don't diss it till you try it

• fly to an area where eden mountain is visible (excl post temple in valley through gw) before xx:20 in off hour (after sunset in sanc)
• eden mist effects take place at xx:20
• eruption at xx28
• shard land a minute later at set zone

Also I figured out that if you have a friend or you're there with someone else is that one can take the job of kiting/luring the crabs away from the shards
The crabs have massive damage but they're very dodgable if you pay attention

simplest way to put it is just remember it's xx:30 on non-geyser hours, presumably in whatever realm the dailies are in (though regardless there will be shards on the portal at home to indicate where they fell)

Deep honking pushes shard crabs back a little, same distance as being ||hit by a shard when knocked in PNR does||

Yea I noticed too, they sorta jump a lil if you deep honk
Though not very helpful if you intend to keep them at bay

So if you see a skid needing help light their candle and only then you deep honk to recharge

Also bringing placable items along helps in a way actually, brought my pillow long for experimentation purposes and it does distract the crabs when I need it away from me

I know the location issue is a glitch, its still something to consider since players still have to deal with it atm. And yeah, I get it's a social game. Again, just something to keep in mind in TGC knows it has solo players (its even a role here in the discord). if you mean realm, so far it's only been in the daily quest realm. there will be red shard indicators on the realm portal at home for you to see. i assumed ark from beta testers last time and it was correct, i believe there are harder ones (in the seasonal areas) and less harsh events on the main path. i could be wrong though, i've only been doing it around ark

an alternative way to help shard events would be to always record a memory candle honking to work as bait after it's finished in the near vicinity of the shard event location, for late-comers of the day to play

edit to explain that the xx:30 will be half an hour before geyser time, whatever that is for you

The giant red crystals instantly drain your light and you lose wl. Shard crabs can't be flipped, only annoyed by big honks, small red crystals drain your light.

Bait them and dodge them. They hate noise. Deep honks are probably most reliable, but I’ve found spamming honks helps too.

Baiting them away from the crystals is your way to go.

or you become one with the crabs and just, well, enjoy getting beaned

For those of y'all who don't know, the Monkey King used to be a completely normal monkey. Like an actual animal monkey. Then he snuck into the Empress of Heaven's garden and ate a peach that granted him immortality, basically turning him into a god/demon (things are a bit blurry as to what exactly he is)
