So, what you do to dodge a krill much easier: you fly away from it and hold at least 1 wing charge in reserve, after flying away from it to a reasonable distance (about 1 krill length away) you go 90⁰ perpendicular to the krill and wait for it to charge (it's kind of like notching a radar guided missile, you keep it 90⁰ off to one side of you), once it charges, you dump the charge held in reserve and it should make it so the krill is unable to follow you, it will pass very close to you but should miss if done right (keep 2 charges in reserve if needed, but 1 is enough).

If you want to train with this, Turboprop Flight Simulator has SAMs that you can set up to have only radar guided missiles, the only difference between krill dodging and notching a missile is you dump a charge for a boost when krill dodging. In the info panel it has a section on evading missiles, which includes notching. Only thing that will delay you from doing your notching immediately is in game currency (you need to use some to gain access to the enemies tab, and some currency to get an aircraft with missile detectors, the coast guard aircraft have them so it's 2 currency uses to get it. The game is completely free, and on both app stores. You get currency by watching ads, WHICH CAN BE DISABLED!)

But like, despite the tickets supposedly lessening the grind, it still feels really grindy.

There's not much way to lessen the grind though, from a game design standpoint.

Increasing amount of daily total wax may help but it incentivizes even more grinding.
Decreasing total wax to fill up a candle across all chevrons could help and it does lessen playtime
And decreasing the cost of f2p cosmetics is probably a no-go from tgc either.

I got no idea what tgc is thinking about the economy of sky tbh.
One could get 105 candles if they grind at least 15 candles in a day. But you have to take into account the cost of TS items which individually can range from 24 (such as the lightseeker masks) to 75 candles (such as capes and outfits).

TS also comes every other week and this isnt taking into account the group TS

At least you can chill in grandma nowadays compared to years ago but i have no idea of the rough estimate of the ts prices back then.

Total: 162

Crab Whisperer in comparison.
Hair is 42. Cape is 70. Prop is 20 (though added later), Mask is 30. Not counting the music sheet (15)
Total: 162

i just experienced a wild agressive lighter

they came over and i just went “afk”, and they just started doing the right next to me practically immediately, so after a moment i started recording as this other person comes up, i do , twice (the second person leaves after the second time, very polite of them), and the first person is still there trying to light me and honking at me. i scold them, they point directly at me, after which i face palm and they cry [again], i walk over to finish getting the wax in old home and look behind me to see them following me somewhat, so i start heading for the aviary portal (i look behind to see them still following so i speed up), go through the portal and hide off to the left behind the wall of the stairs, hoping that if we end in the same server that the jerk would be too dumb to look around and spot me in my kinda bad hiding spot, thankfully we didnt get put in the same server if they did try to follow me to aviary to continue harassing me, but that was ridiculous

this entire interaction took place in old home, but oml that was wild. i will try to remember to segment the video tomorrow and share it in #screenshots-and-videos

oh also the shard bugged out

today i learned that i started during the season of flight. i never played seriously and only ever would go down the story route to the very end over and over so i never got too far or got any cosmetics from flight

i only started being serious during the season of bluebird, but i do remember experiencing season of moments for .2 seconds and then proceeding to get very mad that i had to wait a week to continue on to quest #2 .. LOL . i cant have a normal game experience with anything

nowadays i have the patience .. but back then i LACKED it.

i connected sky to my computer for the first time, i think this is the smoothest experience ive ever had. i loved the feel of mobile and its graphics / smoothness but preferred using the switch for easier movement via controller, but now that i got it running on my pc i can have best of both worlds lol

Actually depends on the coffee you get! Most are a bit bitter yeah, but some can even be fruity!
