hi again cozy, i did do my eden trip, and after arriving to home space, i saw 2 players ❌ and disgust emote to a moff trying to light them. I was like ??? what did they do to you??, i friended the guy and got taken to daylight prairie. moff took me to bench, but candle to activate it was being funky, so i went and grabbed a table prop, then moff sat at the bench with another moff. I set my table down and this other player sat with me, i told em what happened and they suggested calling em over, get us all at one table. Wasn't greatest idea, the moff talked kinda funny, no idea what their motive was. they went poof shortly after. i felt so bad x_x

but, player that sat at my table with me, and someone else that joined us, i became friends with, and one of em did a wl/cr uber of isle and forest :D so that was a nice ending

that's okay, there's a good amount of bug reports that include videos that help demonstrate the problem. the developers also acknowledged it's an issue on Android and pc, and hopefully in their next working hours they'll see that the bug reports have come in on all platforms

hey it's completely understandable. the oldest relevant bug report I saw was from July 29th, so some other players may have been dealing with this issue for even longer

and this is a huge season with nice cosmetics. it's understandable that people would be frustrated not being able to get them because of a single bug

Personally the most common way i see people grow to hate the game is by grinding constantly to attempt to buy every cosmetic
The FOMO gets a hold on the experience and ruins it

The way grinding is also so ingrained in the community doesn't help

Most of the friends who I talked to were from the game.
I do remember all of them but I don't interact much with my light buddies(+chatbox issue of sky).
So, I kept some sidenote beside their names (like for light buddies, lb; for ubers, u etc.) to not confuse them as moffs.
Moffs usually leave the game within a few days. Most don't stay.
I friended a few moffs who played the game for long, we became good friends but that's all.
In the end people got their own lives to be busy with.
I like how similar sky is to Journey.

the problem is that the constellation becomes clogged with inactive players — which, unfortunately, are in massive amounts in the sky community cuz people often take long breaks from the game — and that makes it inconvenient to search for the actually active players. Also, i think i recall that the constellation might not show all of your friends if there are too many of them, so keeping the inactive ones could actually put you at risk of not being able to interact with the active friends through the constellation

In such cases, why keep the constellation of the person who blocked the other one? Why doesn't it get removed?

What do you consider to be a veteran? Cuz I've been playing for a good amount of years (hiatus, here and there) but still. Reasonably good enough to know where most of everything is including secret areas but I always get insecure about the amount of cosmetics i get. Luci is a skykid who witnessed death the first few hours of her birth (being one born in eden), she's come to her senses of all the danger and managed to push through from the darkness that seemed to be slowly consuming her very skin, but she doesn't know why.

After rebirth is where she just understood light itself and wondered why she was born in such a place. Though it's safe to say, being born in the grasp of death has its own perks ;)

My skykid's lore is that I was a leaf that fell from a mutant tree that was falling from space and as I entered the atmosphere I lit on fire so that when I SLAMMED into the ground I was a skykid with no idea what was going on AT ALL.

hey all. apparently about 5 moths ago, a sky creator named 'Warped Creations' began posting a series of videos that explain logic and methodology behind sky trolls [as they are a sky troll themself.]

I'm not calling for mass attention, but i'm just noting that the videos they post could be useful material for those who want to avoid getting krilled or trolled.

I'm also pretty sure that the usefulness of the soldier shield in the krill attacks is based on angle and not on timing, so a long-range krilling attack can probably be avoided if you're skilled enough

so-- considering this, you'd arguably not be able to survive any sort of krill-based troll unless you actively discourage the behavior itself. unfortunately you can't report non-lighted skykids, and reports usually don't fall through afaik

I don't think anyone does honestly, it just sort of happened yesterday without explanation not even an announcement as far as I know. Probably something to do with the Manatee Staff but I'm not sure

interestingly-- and I'm not sure if anyone knows this well-- but Warped Creations figured out that krill beams also extend behind the krill head. So the krill beam exists as a sort of tube that originates from the spotlight, passes through the head, and invisibly can raycast onto anyone who somehow hits that area behind the head.

And, as you see, this has massive implications for the moth population. There's the moth population, and then they're gone

the beam goes backwards too? I don't entirely know about that, I have flown straight over Graveyard many times and have never been seen by a single Krill
I've only ever been seen if I accidently dip too low to their altitude/Lh

Yeah-- its just that because the tube originates from a location way in front of the krill head, it forms a really shallow angle.

Also the detection radius of a krill is roughly about how far it is from the ground, so a shallow angle + small detection distance --> basically unnoticeable unless flying really close.

I figured out that was the case a long, loooong time when doing a Pleaful Parent daily with a team. I was on lookout duty, the spirit carrying team got spotted, I flew up to try to distract the Krill, wound up over its head and got worried I overshot and wouldn’t distract it in time, and then it snapped its head up to look at me instead. I figured TGC programmed it like that to prevent cheesing the Krills by flying over and past them, and headcanoned that the in-universe reason was because the Krill’s horns were sensitive enough to pick up the air disturbance from my flight.
