sorry, is it just me or does the server not merge when you do a red shard? because im starting to notice a pattern that if i arrive to a red shard there's just no one there
and then after you finish the red shard, people appear/server merges

but if you like, appear minutes later- that entire place is empty until the red shard is cleared

The sands swallowed half of the history in the wasteland, we see the bones of titans there, probably tamed for war and smited by the enemy and spears and ships consumed by the sands, not to mention the second you enter graveyard you see one single lonesome ship still sticking out the sand next to a war spear

Also, those barricades don't really make much sense, as they seem to only deny area for large unwieldy vehicles, and seem to be styled after WWII-style tank traps

Actually this is quite possible! there is a catapult off to the side in the entrance of the graveyard, before the many krills, so it's not far off that advanced machinery was used
Even more, the Cackling cannoneer's name likely implies the existence of cannons, and they are seen wielding a powered harpoon

I started during a collab season and it wasn’t the best representation for the whole of Sky. I do like Moomin, but it felt quite close to the last collabs. (Cinnamoroll was a cafe and was much shorter thankfully) So I miss the side of Sky that was building the world over things that are external. (TLP & Aurora were there since early development tho so they’re fine for me)

Yeah I think the collabs are a lil more forgivable when it actually adds something to the game. Love cinnamonroll but having him hold a cafe doesn’t do much especially when u haven’t dropped new lore in a while…people get impatient

I didn’t have all too much of a problem with Moomin’s story. Probably because it was more explicitly made out to be a story, as compared to TLP or 9 Colored Deer.

The ‘Guide’ that you receive the quests from is a storybook. Each quest is a chapter in that storybook. The magic of the Vault simply lets us see the story in a more animated form instead of just words on a page.

It’s always fun to try to imagine how certain aspects of the world in Sky might work/why they were made. I like to think that the Moomin storybook, along with possible other stories in the Vault we haven’t been able to access, were created that way to make the stories more accessible before the Shattering ended the old civilization.
Like, if an Ancestor was hard of hearing, or partially blind, or had dyslexia, or any other condition that could make it difficult to read or listen to a story, they could use something like the Moomin storybook/Shared space-esque stuff in the Vault to experience those stories.

I think you may have misunderstood you can use a phone/tablet as a backlight reference for tracing, disabling touch controls on the device allows you to do so without the reference moving around but not all devices have this option

If there's a hint you'll regret buying the guru's cape then I'd recommend not to and just focus on 2000 like I said it's cute but there's better cozy style capes out there that might become available in the future to you

I often regret not getting certain cosmetics, but I usually opt for getting 1 item from a TS and then buy out the rest of when they return. (None except Beckoning Ruler has returned for me lol)
Unlocking the tree can be expensive enough without a savings and pants / capes tend to be 70-90 candles so I just tend to gravitate towards saving those for the next time.

Ahab is the shipwreck krill, and the Temple Triplets are Burger, Fries, and Milkshake! The Enchantment krill is Thorton (doesn’t do crowds, is now terrified of butterflies), and the krill that snakes through the Abyss towers underwater is Susie-Q!

The first Eden krill that flies over your head is Raphael, the krill that swoops down over the pipes is Michael, the one that circles the pipe is Gabriel, and Uriel is the final krill, named after the biblical angel who guards the entrance to the Garden of Eden

Harpa is very obscure Time Nomads has a good reference for the Norse calendar which shows it as a month but whether or not the month was named for a Goddess or some vague concept we have no idea though the month does seem to be associated with flowers and Hares in early records of the calendar itself

Why the server merging after I fight with the red shard alone
I charged many times and cryingly play with these chilli crabs.

i'm actually going to scream rn i finally was about to finish it and then two mantas forced me away so i couldn't reach the last 2 jellyfish. i didn't think sky would ever make me rage but i'm really close right now

a few people lost their wl during my shard session i was the sacrificial lamb deep calling to let the crabs come to me while the rest burnt the plants. but one skid didn't get it and deep called even if they lost all their light had to save them a few times

I was rushed to the shard because there was 5 minutes left.
I know this was a hard red shard.
I light the darkness alone, along with honking every red crabs. Sometimes they make me like a volleyball, getting bounced and hit by the stones.
Guess I take 4 minutes to clear the shard, then when collecting, I exhaust all my wings, need to recharge so badly. But I couldn't find any memory to recharge. So I have to do it alone, and even miss many jellyfish memories per phase.
But after that I completed the shard, IT SERVER MERGING LIKE "WHY NOW?!"

ah, i was thinking one or the other and went for irl i usually make a fit, wear it for a few weeks at most, and switch to a different one. i don't usually repeat them unless it's one i love, like what i call my skid's regular fit that i go back to if i don't have new fit ideas. though so far since returning to the game in january i haven't worn it yet
