it slowly recharges as you keep it out (as long as you're not under rain) and you can recharge from dye butterflies a lil along the way

here's a way to consider:
the fox plush is only still here for a limited time, and the season lasts 70 odd days so even if you don't get the pass once it starts, you have PLENTY of time to get it later and scoop up the extra pass locked items as long as you're diligent with dailies

Do you want to know how much I am absolutely brainrotted over the Eden Elder.
I have been waiting years for the Eden Elder to come to Sky since 2020. In fact, I didn't even think they'd be real.
Until last year when the skyfest two embers trailer was shown off.
Never did I think that the Eden Elder themselves would be real in actual official sky media aside from concept art jail.

It started off as curiousity over Sky's lore. "What was Sky's story?" I asked myself. So into lore chat I ventured and lurked to hunt for lore and then I learned of the Eden Elder. And then I became deeply fascinated over them and hunted for fanart. In google images, pinterest, instagram, tumblr, reddit, skycord.... I have hunted for fanart depictions of them.
Though my interest in Sky has waned and waxed several times and each time, my brainrot over the eden elder grows stronger and far far worse. In fact, my sky AU started over me just giving up and making up stuff for the Eden Elder.

I didn’t engage in the 9 Colored Deer questline at all because I was suffering through burnout (as well as other real life…lets say ‘complications’) at the time of the Season. I wanted the cosmetics because I thought they were pretty, but didn’t want to play too much to give myself time to recover from burnout. Did dailies, found the Spirits, bought their cosmetics, that’s it.
…I still haven’t gone back and done the questline or explored the area beyond my initial foray for the Spirits, and later Days of Moonlight.

The Eden Elder is a mysterious yet very important lore figure who once ruled the kingdom of Sky. They are also known as the King, the Ruler, or perhaps they were once known as the Dawn Ember.
They are also referred to as Alef or Resh based on concept arts that referred to them as such. Those names aren't really canon but it's sometimes little easier to call the Eden Elder that.
The following information is pieced together from various sources and sky lore is vague so some info is subject to change and may not be true when Two Embers comes. I will try my best to be factual though.

The Eden Elder was supposedly once a skykid or a proto-skykid who fell from the sky and was born in the Isle of Dawn. Let's call this skykid, Dawn Ember. They were once found by two spirits (Ushering Stargazer and Rejecting Voyager) and adopted.
Unfortunately, Stargazer, who was ill from some sort of darkness crystallization illness, soon sent away Dawn Ember to a boat to the Prophecy Cave trials.
It is said that someone who finished all four trials of the Caves of Prophecy become the ruler of the kingdom. However, many people have fallen before in the Prophecy Cave.
Dawn Ember though, they completed all four trials, recovered the associated four colored lights within each of them. Dawn Ember also opened the light beacon in Eden and ascended into becoming the Eden Elder.
As for the colored lights, it is presumed they gave those to four of the six elders. Basically:
Prairie: Green (Earth)
Forest: Blue (Water)
Valley: Cyan (Air)
Wasteland: Orange (Fire)
So, Dawn Ember becomes the Eden Elder. Now what?
It's said they discovered diamond technology alongside the aid of Forest Elder (presumably) and spread the usage of diamond tech across the kingdom. The Eden Elder also spread their visage across the kingdom (this symbol is heavily associated with the Eden Elder ).

So! About diamond technology! You've seen its usage around the kingdom with the gates and the memory lanterns and stuff, very amazing isn't it.
Thing is.... its manufacturing has consequences. It likely required the light of light creatiures to create (meaning, countless of light creatures like mantas had to be caltured as seen in the Aurora concert) and also mining a special crystal called darkstone that you could see in Prairie Peaks and remnants of a mine in the Forest caves and Treasure Reef.

Fun fact! Did you know that the Wastelands is where most of those diamonds were created in? The pollution in there didn't come from nowhere, oh it came as a byproduct of the diamond manufacturing. So yeah....

And we cant talk about the Eden Elder without addressing the Eden Diamond itself. Said to have been created to extract the light from the light beacon in Eden so it blocked off the light cycle (the cycle of life of Light Creatures) of Sky. The diamond's a big deal that it even has its own mural in Eden.

And now for the civil war!!! There's said to be two sides of the civil war that you can see in Wasteland. Those who supported the diamond production and those who are against it. The war is pretty brutal, you can check the rememberance season spirit memories or the aurora lore related to it. At the time of the civil war, the Dusk Ember is born and undergoes a journey alongside their manatee friend to convince the Eden Elder to give up the power pf the diamonds.

It's... a bit of a mystery. We do know that all the elders died when the Eden Diamond shattered according to the elder shattering memory (unknown cause, maybe light overload? Just my guess).
It's said that they sacrificed themselves to gve rise to a new generation of skykids according to the Skyfest cape forest area. Maybe that's what happened to them?
All we know is that they are no longer able to saved and restored back to Orbit like the other elders.

There are people who believe that the Eden Elder is present as their younger version as the glowy boi you see and hug when you die in Eden.
I believe it, considering the hugging winged light on top of the elder shattering memory and the scene in the skyfest trailer showing Dusk Ember and Dawn Ember in the void in a scene similar to when you die in Eden. Plus, there's the concept art that shows the young eden elder in the void giving you the light to ascend into Orbit.

Also if you didnt know. Your honk regardless of call type has a different sound based on how long you hold it. So if you let go at the same time every time you'll get the same note.

I do it a lot with medium honks to get someones attention as I myself find it quite annoying

It is yes. They cost 10 ascended candles, if you don’t have any from spirit blessings. There’s a cool down as well. I’ve been told you’ll stay within the same height though if you try immediately after that cool down. (I don’t use them so I don’t know for sure)

There’s also temporary height spells that last 20 minutes.
