So I have this thing erre I absolutely live writing short (and sometimes very long) stories about my skykids on standalone or with my friends skykids. The thing is that U sometimes take creative liberty with some things. For example, in one of those stories Aviary Village has something called the "feather fest" or the fact that I added a shipwreck and lurking beasts to the Hidden Forest.

Recently I've been having the thought that I might be subtracting to the games essence when I do this. What do you guys think?

I would bring my Feast snowboard to the light collection minigame that happened at the Valley ice rink. (Where Enchantment’s blue light is). It seemed to improve my sliding/skating speed when I used it around the realms, so I thought it might give me a speed boost as well as better handling on the ice. I dunno if it actually ended up doing anything, but it was fun, and I felt way cooler using it.

I think you can safely collect honey from a beehive if you place a campfire underneath it first. It has to do with a real world practice. Basically, the smoke makes the bees (or wasps, if you’re trying to deal with those) woozy, so they’re less quick to react and try to sting you if you start messing with their hives.

It’s a very tricky subject for sure, and there have been many, manyyyyyy debates amongst players about it. Unless I’m remembering wrong, I believe I’ve heard about some games with Season Pass equivalents keeping said Season Passes around permanently, so that there’s always the option for them to be available. But they must be bought at the same price that the pass originally was priced at when it first released in order to access and begin working towards the stuff it contains.

i'll pitch in the ult topic as a player whose first pass is sanctuary & a longtime skycorder: i remember the heated discussions here of when tgc first mentioned the "ult shop" and a lot of it was really the loss of exclusivity of the cosmetics (which, i admit, i also like the feeling of having those old ults, but i'm not a total gatekeeper cause that's just silly)

i think the argument was that newer players who could get the ult items in one purchase wouldn't equate to the efforts old players put into to get them (aka logging in everyday for dailies for like 2-3 months). funny to think that 5 years later they still haven't figured it out but it is a tricky thing to navigate, cause either way there's gonna be mixed reactions involved

Ie getting all the SP-only items and the Ults. People who didn’t play during the Season, or were there but didn’t get the pass will have to pay, but people who did purchase the pass but didn’t complete the Season could access it again freely. Or at least, at a very reduced price.

That way, you still technically have the same quantity of ults. So for status-seekers, that could be achieved through the number of them instead of what ones you actually have.

I’ve met a lot of wonderful people through it and this server, and knowing I could always log in and fly around enjoying the world and music was a huge comfort to me when I was going through absolute honk with my mental health.

In my opinion, them having ults purchasable gets rid of all the FOMO (fear of missing out) surrounded around seasons. It also makes it so that some of the old players (that're more on the newer side) help some of the newer players experience what they have without the need to rely on someone that won't always be around. It just makes the game more open and accessible, and it makes use of the servers that have been mostly sitting around waiting for someone with the cape to join them aren't just dead weight and taking up space

Oh! Actually! Maybe the Spirit’s item chain/tree could work like how the trees from the Days of Guides have been working. You know, with all the different stuff branching out from the line as it travels upwards, and if you’ve already previously bought those items as well as the spell nodes along the line, then those parts of the chain will already register as unlocked, and you can access any items from previous years you didn’t buy that are connected to unlocked main nodes.

agreed, i'm still not used to having the "days of" events happening basically every month, back then it was fairly dispersed and now i'm kinda overwhelmed of everything i have to do and the future events to anticipate and it's especially more hectic when events are in the middle of seasons. i miss when it was more on candle runs and friend group shenanigans (for hours long) than grinding for currencies

Yeah! Instead of pointlessly bickering about exclusivity, we can work together to brainstorm possible ideas. The devs visit the different channels from time to time, and there’s also stuff like the live feedback channel, so who knows? Maybe a dev will see our discussions and can make use of our ideas and proposals.

I was not intending to get the sakura cape this time around but I was lucky in the sense that most of the TS items weren't ones I was particularly after. Since I've gotten my hands on some cosmetics I genuinely enjoy, I'm content with that while I save candles for the other cosmetics I really want.

Finding a few things I really like has helped to curb my initial FOMO so it's less stressful, but of course I'm still gonna grab the candles where I can!

during my beta sign up I suggested there be a bit more tutorials for moths and new players on how to get candles properly. Because a lot of people do not know about granny at all , again I had to teach most of my friended new players

And some of these new players again, they like to play by themselves and experience the game itself so they do not receive help from older players

There aren’t a lot of tutorials overall on how to get wax and how to candle run. Most of the questions are just answered in the discord, and these new players may be underaged or don’t use discord

wait, i didn't realize dyeing the bottom part of the ult cape would actually make it match up with the top part, if you make them the same dye?? (for context to anyone that hasn't noticed this, some cosmetics will be a few shades off in the different dye regions, even though you used the same dye)
i might make it just plain purple, then (well. blue + "purple" purple anyways. dark magenta is not purple, tgc)

i will always have trust issues with the way pink and purple are mixed up because to me the dye is clearly pink but it's called purple anyway

it doesn't even have the decency to be a fun magenta nooo it's dull and dark and a wannabe purple... (listen, my favourite colour is violet, a colour of which there are only a very tiny, precious few items in this game)

i found out yesterday that white + purple looks pinker than white + red does

Don’t forget, colours can go the other way around for a slightly different colour! So red + white would also look sufficiently pink, if I had to guess.

To make a nice dark purple requires black dye and I am always needing black dye

Purple’s a weird colour for me, in that I don’t think there’s bad purple shade, though I prefer darker, more subdued purples to vibrant. It’s like blue! But just not liked as much by me.

I’ve found that certain cosmetics make this work, like usually mixing red + blue gives you purple but if that’s too dark you can try pink/purple + cyan
