y'all I need help on this, what do y'all recommend me to get with candles from default spirits, and what do y'all recommend me to do with my eden candles

Well honestly thats completely up to you, get the stuff you like and want to wear, and keep some in stock for that one TS that has something you love!
For Eden candles, get wingbuffs when you can (especially from TS) and maybe save up for one of the elder masks that shield from lossing wings at first hit

Besides upgraded emotes, I'd recommend you get the music sheets! Bird Whisperer's is not an easy one to play, but the other two are nice to have, and not too difficult to learn, either.

As for ascended candles, I recommend you save them up for wingbuffs first and foremost, because that's one extra WL you start with after doing Eden. However, I believe there's some stuff during events or in the Nesting workshop that you can buy with AC.

Ironically, I like the soft part of it! Though I can't say I don't understand. I actually very much dislike beans because of the graininess issue. Though having said that, I do find that sweet potatoes can get a little stringy sometimes, which is why they're not a favourite to cook myself.

Apparently so! For me, mushrooms don't crunch (again), and they're really good at incorporating flavours. If you fry some up after something else - bacon, for instance, if you eat meat - they take on that flavour a bit and get super delicious. And they're a good, neutral option to put in things. I like mine in fajitas or pasta!

My main oc, Astreos, is a young skykid born with their soul divided into two:
one half is their own original soul and the other half belonged to a certain forsakened ruler (this other half was implanted into them before being born. long story).

And so Astreos goes on silly adventures with this weird aristocratic-looking ghost only they could see that renamed themselves as Asteris.

Astreos also is one of the six children of stars ever born, basically have the purest light from within the very core of the megabird. (Most skykids are born from the stars trailing from the megabird's massive collection of stars comprising its body)

honestly i have a lore reason for why skykids in our au get elements aka ever since like the shattering with resh id imagine the 4 elements kinda ended up going straight to the light which eventually years later led to skykids in the future getting elements

The magic "system" (i have no idea what im doing) of my sky au isnt fully final tbh. Mostly skykids can practice a certain branch of light magic, divided into colors and also pure light. Some magic-users tend to channel their magic via staffs. Some more offensive magic can also be channeled via weaponry like swords.
Some skykids can even cast light spells with the flick of their hand especially if they're particularly easy ones. (More complex spells require staffs as conduits though extremely skilled magic users can cast light spells with their hands. Just that most use staffs cuz most of the time, it's allows for more efficient usage of light).

Skykids tend to have greater affinity for certain colored lights depending on where they're born.
For Isle skykids, they have a great affinity for non-colored light magic.
Prairie: Green
Forest: Blue
Valley: Cyan
Wasteland: Orange
Vault: Purple
Eden: Red

Actually, got to be honest, I kind of had a weird amount of fun with Days of Moth. It was annoying, but easier to work around than the pray bug, and it was kind of fun to see things break around you and the consequences of that. Plus I kind of fixated on trying to figure out workarounds!

huh. well, just be on the lookout for any other things those players may do that don't seem to make sense. like, having 14 cape wedges (not possible for even the oldest account in the game). or playing a musical instrument but the sound that comes out belongs to a different instrument entirely.

if you see something like that, that would be hacking.

(if a player is making beautiful music while holding the miniature version of a furniture prop, that's legitimately a glitch . the game just forgets to register the instrument sometimes when they switch props)

turtle is pretty short timed between granny like 5 minutes after granny ends

which is why i usually end up doing forest first in my cr route after dailies and cakes unless 1 of the 2 are in forest then id do granny and immediately go to prairie get bit of wax along the way and do sanctuary as i go to the turtle area

plus turtle is better than geyser in my opinion as it takes less time since u just need the clams and the wax the turtle produced the plants from after it had started and thats it as oppose to waiting for 10m or so in geyser to get all the wax

as ive had learned looking at the wiki regarding the like wax and stuff and i honestly do have plans to one day do a under 2 hour grey candle run route google doc which btw would require a friend with piggy just so i could help

Candle running is only for players that want to do that. I started because I liked the exploration as a moth and the noise the wax makes. That said I’d love to do a “narrative run” of Sky where I just focus on the spirits and then go to Eden. It’s open world so there’s not really a “wrong” way to play, in that regard.

The one issue for me with rabbit is, it also clips into a lot of hairs, but less egregiously than Peek’s mask. Just because of the ears and everything. But there are a few fits it works really well with!

Ox mask is pretty good! But also really, really short. I find it’s the kind of mask best paired with accessories that obscure or draw attention away from your skykid’s face, like the Feast scarf or Oddball Outcast’s neck fluff if you want to maintain the illusion.

The dragon also clips a fair bit, but I find not too bad! Mostly. I like to pair it with Navi’s hair, personally, but it can probably work with a lot. The issue is just working around the face spikes.

Honestly, clipping is an issue with all of them, to be honest. There’s a reason I use krill hair for the ox mask.

My favourite used to be winter piano and xylophone because of how light and tinkly they both were, but then I found I enjoyed the heartiness of guitar and the smooth melty feel of sanc handpan, but I also really love how beautiful aurora voice sounds - honestly though I can't really settle on a favourite for long because I think each instrument is unique and brings something special to any song

I have a funny story about fortune drum, so in beta I do not own a lot of instruments on account of just being broke there and not chasing down TS when they visit, so when we were testing moomin and they dropped the music sheets I was like well better pull out this and see what happens, and I swear it was just absolute chaos, they do not fit at all with the whimsy of snufkin's song
