now that I’ve figured out I can candle run, I need to think up a route so I’m not flying around aimlessly

I’ll start with Wind Paths to access Sanctuary Island, doing a loop around there, then fly up to Bird Nest with the help of a manta. After that I’ll go through Butterfly Field to access social space & grab my SC wax there, then I’ll head back down to Caves and through to Prairie Peaks for dye. After that I can do Village and temple straight into Forest

I get like 10-9 by just dailes, running around and 2x area. I dont worry abt missing wax, cuz i play not for candles but for moths, music, socializing with players

1. Do the full cr for the 3 days, with some candles i got from 9-10 daily it should be enough for at least something

I also had the same issue posted in the known issues chat, but I would also like to add my own experience to it. I got the cutscene and the deactivated portals, but I also got punted over to spawn in Aviary, instead of in Home. Hopeful Steward showed up, pointed to the return shrine, I headed back to Vault thinking viewing the Elder cutscene and using the portal in that little section with the Eden Gate would fix things

I'm trying to figure out a consistent way to escape Aviary. Second Aviary quest re-unlocked constellations on my sibling's account, and I was able to tp to my own account who was in homespace

My thought process was “no realm portals, this usually only happens if you quit the game while you’re in Stormlock/PnR, only thing accessible then is return shrine to go back, finishing stormlock+orbit gives you access to the realms again, maybe if I go visit Lamed and then use the home portal, the game will count me finishing Vault and fix itself since it’s the last realm before Eden, and so would dictate that I’d have to have accessed all the other realms first to access Vault.”

Oh yeah! While I’m here, I’d like to share an old trick I discovered a while back and remembered about. If you fly up far enough above the polluted geyser, and then use the faint emote ( this one) while you fall down into the pool of dark water at just the right time (just as you’re about to hit the water seems to be the most consistent for me), you’ll bounce off it like it’s a trampoline! It’s so much fun, and I’ve managed to get some crazy height by doing consecutive bounces.

I have no idea if it works with other sources of dark water like in Golden wasteland, or normal water, and the non-polluted geysers in Sanctuary already launch you anyways. I’m not sure actually. At a rough estimate going off memory, I seem to level out and reach maximum bounce height at an elevation maybe…around halfway up the central mountain where Hiking Grouch’s spirit memory takes you? Possibly even reaching level elevation with the top where their memory ends.

I did this myself, because the last thing I did last night before logging off was going to Vault of Knowledge to finish my dailies. I used the return shrine since it was the only thing accessible when I logged in, went to the top, viewed the cutscene, and then used the home portal in that little section with the 20 WL gate to go back to the Aviary. All the portals then reopened except for Isle.

Yeah, I have it, too. But I'm thinking the thing is, when I start at home, I'm able to walk through the Aviary gateway and basically restart the Revival questline. I'm able to free Steward, open the gates, walk through the doors. And while I'm not sure when it happens, exactly, I was able to get through the Aviary okay after the candle quest.

What I'm thinking is, someone in the Aviary isn't able to 'reset' the quest, and thus get stuck in the wind wall.

So i reboot the game, spawn in my empty nest. When i leave into the Aviary, it puts me at the beginning of Revival, opening the door and all that. After we walk through, it tries to reconcile EVERY Revival quest simultaneously, so it requires me to light the candles at the manta tower (Quest 2) which I can’t do because it’s all blocked by a wind wall

So I am mega trapped in the Aviary entrance lol

I was able to make the dailies by going through wind paths to sanctuary,then flew in reverse course.

And meanwhile, I had to start all the way in Isle, unless the Wind Paths were open in Aviary and I never saw it. So I had to run all the way through the first three and a bit realms to get to the Fortune stuff.

It at least doesn't pass too slowly if you know workarounds! You can skip Prairie Elder's cutscene, you can possibly cut through Treehouse to make it to Boneyard, and if you want to progress past Valley, you can just use Village of Dreams.

My friend experienced this bug. She had her last location set at forest, so she went to the forest temple, watched the cutscenes, and this way, she unlocked portals of praire, forest and triumph.
