Strong eruptions do. Normal give you light/wax.

Red shards give you AC, while black shards give you 200 wax.

You usually have a good chance at merging into a server with other people for shards, though some are more difficult than others, and some are really easy to solo.

I really recommend settling for a height you like rather than aim for like absolute maximum or absolute minimum sizes
If you need the measuring torch to tell the difference it's probably not worth it to spend dozens of AC on it

I think it happens when servers split or merge, and there's a slight desync between the servers so the server change makes them teleport to the new server's syncing

i've found with that wl if you try to fly straight up from the base of the tower, the wind is a pain. if you slide down the hill from hermit valley and come back, you can use the momentum to flap, you should get launched into glide, and it takes just a couple flaps to reach the wl

Never do a red shard by yourself. I gained 4 ac but lost 3 wl. Nobody came to help me, nobody was there. Never do a red shard alone, it's not worth the lost wl. And one of my lost wl is in the air trial.

I don't think so, I'm too scared to even bother my best friend who I know wouldn't be bothered by me asking him for anything, and my platonic partner. I wouldn't bother a stranger over something I wouldn't bother the closest people to me over/nbr

Not really. If anything they're harder to ask because you don't know them, they could use you, they could hurt you, they could hate you and you'd never be able to change their opinion of you because you're a stranger to them and you'll stay a stranger to them.

In my case, I don’t care if a stranger hates me. I’ve met my fair share of rude skykids. I do care if someone close to me feels like I’m a bother though.

It depends on whether or not a therapist would even understand my issues and would care to help beyond making me feel bad for not being happy when 99% of every day nobody is happy.

no expert here, but sometimes the root of problems such as this can be traced to one's perception of self worth. arrogrance and entitlement must be avoided of course, but sometimes we don't realize that if other ppl matter then we get to matter too. and as harsh as the world is, there are nice ppl out there more than you might think. and sky is a pretty chill environment considering. so don't be afraid to put yourself out there! and like i said, sky is a pretty forgiving place. don't be afraid to poke around, bother ppl, and learn to socialize best of luck friend

Nah, I’d love to help with shards. I play Sky to help others. But it takes courage to ask and I promise you can do it. (if you’d like to of course, if not I hope that you find a way to play Sky solo in a way you enjoy )
