To get 5 star characters, you need to pull in banners. Yes there is a small chance of getting a 5 star but it's slightly more complicated.
Starting at wish no. 60 in a character banner, soft pity will start to accumulate where the game adds a little tiny more chance of you getting a 5 star, up to 90 pulls. 90 pulls is hard pity where you WILL get a 5 star (though it's extremely rare for that to happen).
However, it is a 50/50 chance to get the featured character of the banner, otherwise you'll get a 5 star from the standard banner pool. If you fail that 50/50, the next 5 star you get is GAURANTEED to be the featured character.

It's more complicated with the radiance mechanic but that mechanic basically boils down to less chances of continious lost 50/50s

also Jean is a standard banner character so there is a chance you'd get constellations (adds bonus passives and effects onto the character). She is good as a healer and stuff but i dont reccomend pulling solely for her.
Also, I do not reccomend pulling weapon banner as a f2p. Just dont. Unless you're an ancient old player like me with many characters and wishes to throw away willy nilly but honestly just dont

Cackling cannoneer almost double died trying to prove a point and wanted you to launch them at krills with a catapult.

We care about our players and this community, and we believe that it's good to get your feelings out and talk to someone if you're struggling. However, folks in this server are not equipped to help with crises and things surrounding mental health. It can be distressing for people to enter cozy chat and see triggering topics when they aren't expecting it.

the "just get up quit the negativity" mentality is not helping fish, as fish probably needs a longer period to rest. with that said, fish will pop in and out for pets, to drop snacks, and fish shenanigans.

However, if you can, maybe a therapist or a councellor could help. If you don’t have access, the other best option is to talk with a trusted friend.
