People bother too much with labels of who is who. Moth, vet, butterfly, caterpillar, potato, plant. Doesn't change the people behind our sky kids.
I don't appreciate that kind of thinking as it is. For me moths are people who have just started. Because they are brown and clueless. Some stop being one really soon, some don't. We all have different abilities and interests, different approaches. And all of them are valid.

If I'm sat here staring at a flower, it doesn't make me any better or worse, neither does abundance or lack of cosmetics.

I see this question asked so often, when do I stop being a moth? Please don't stop! Please, have things to wonder about, to discover, to obsess over and to enjoy. Everyone needs a bit of a moth inside, without this childlike wonder your sky kid withers and turns into a chore.

I’d either have it so that the season pass is a premium (so, for instance, during the season, the IAPs would cost £10 for the lot, but after the season, £10 per item, and the pendant forever remains exclusive), or I’d introduce variants of them so that they are distinctly identifiable. (Like the Rhythm and Performance hairs!)

Regretful Purchases

• At the end of every month, like the Aviary Fireworks Festival and a TS visit combined, a special shop opens in the same building as the event shop.
• A new NPC, or multiple, would probably be managing the shop, but I haven’t thought about that
• During this time period of 3-4 days, you can sell off any item that was purchased for candles. However, besides the obvious effect of losing that item, you’ll also only get 50% of what you spent back (ex. Bumbling Boatswain’s hat is 30 candles, you’ll only get 15 back), in order to make sure people still really think about whether or not to buy an item!

What does everyone else think, while I work on the “overhauled TS system” idea? Please let me know if something’s up

Overhauled TS System

• Instead of one spirit visiting every 2 weeks, four arrive at the beginning of every month, and stay for a full week instead of 3-4 days.
• The “tree” approach is also replaced by a “constellation”- you can now choose to go for specific cosmetics or emotes directly, while still retaining the same “spell buffers,” heart+candle costs, and more costly items being locked behind spending 2 AC.
• Of course, I don’t know if this is a good idea for people to have more flexibility and time planning, slashing prices a little bit would probably be the best so people don’t get even more overwhelmed, but I’m happily taking constructive criticism for how to further improve this idea

Sounds like you need a Whimsy Break. Go play tourist and let the candles be forgotten for a while. You can passively collect as you run around, easily getting at least 2 chevron (10 🕯) or more, just being chill. Burn out is rough and this is a good way to head it off.

Yeah, that’s fair. And sometimes it can be really difficult.

But it helps to note that the TS hint either looks towards or from the perspective of a spirit! So if you ever want to do a deeper investigation, then try that. For instance - if you look at this week’s, you can see the distinctive rock pile in the krill area you hide in to the right of the frame/room. That indicates that the hint is taken from the far side of the room, and facing the same way as the hint, the same side that Dismiss is sitting down on.

I can almost bet if you turned around where the hint is taken from, Dismiss would be sitting right behind you.

The pitch of sound effects for expressions is dependent on the ambient key for background music. And background music can switch between different keys depending on what point of the track it's in. If you're that curious, I would keep trying the expression as the background music goes on to see if the sound effect pitch changes.

BUT! i am going to be a total hypocrite and say to NOT quit sky!

but jokes aside, my actual advice in this case is to keep any fun game, whether it's sky or smth else, as way to cool your head down whenever it gets overheated from all the work. Yes, staying on top of things feels like a priority in a highly competitive environment, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't take any breaks. after all, laziness is an essential nutrient for the human body

and as far as the photography stuff goes then DUDE! wdym what's one photographer gone?! if that's the case, there are tons of people of all fields out there, would it make sense for one of them to just up and quit just because of that? or there are tons of sky and pokemon artists, most if not all of them are much better than me, but i still draw sky art and pokemon art. i do it because it's something i like, whether i am the best or just another rookie doesn't matter!

and you might have people who genuinely lile seeing your sky photos (and if you don't, i'd gladly provide you with one by always annoying you to show me sky photography )

and as for not having friends, i'd be glad to help with that by skidnapping you
i only get one hour of sky time but i can do plenty of shenoonigans in that time

but at the end of the day, it's your life and your decision. my advice still stays to just keep anything, like a game or hobby, to chill out from time to time

• Yes, both the geyser and grandma are social events! You can technically do those unlimited times per day, but since they're both marked as "social light" events, you'll eventually reach the cap of 1,000 wax, and stop getting any until daily reset time.
• The turtle is also a social light event, and appears by the little islands in Sanctuary! The event is officially called "Sunset Hour," since the sky turns reddish while it's happening. It happens 5 minutes after grandma (ex. if your grandma dinner ends at 6:45, Sunset Hour happens at 6:50), where clams with varying amounts of wax drop on the islands and following the turtle gives you wax! Iirc, there's also a segment at the end where you have to save the turtle by burning off darkness plants!
• I don't know much about the dream skater, unfortunately The only things I know for sure is that 1. this is another social light event, 2. it happens in the village of dreams, 3. it happens an hour after reset time (if reset is 12am, it happens at 1am, 3am, so on and so forth), and 4. it only happens on certain days!
  There's this really neat website called Sky Clocks that tracks when important timed events are happening, so try checking that out if you have the time!

PSA: Take a Rest not a Nap
When you’re sleepy, depending on the time, it may be best to take a rest and not a nap. What I mean is, I took a walk today and I was kinda sleepy. I took a 2.5 hr rest.
When your body is tired, give it a good rest. A nap is just unsatisfying and leaves you more tired, right? Take an actual rest. Depending on the time and if you have something to do: take a 1-3hr rest. It’s ok to do what your body needs. You’re ok.
