I mean, I guess the closest I have is with a non-Sky OC. I have a mouse OC, Amelia, that uses a needle as a sword. It’s kind of wildly inefficient against anything bigger than her.

Then as far as progress goes you're doing good as for hearts and candles these can be earned by adding Light Buddies from #looking-for-group-live and by working out an efficient Candle Run route, as well as visiting the Light events such as the Geyser, Granny's, and the Turtle

During certain times of the day, candle events will occur, at which you can gain candles in a short amount of time. So that would be the Grandma’s feast in the Sunny Forest, the polluted geyser, and the Turtle, both of which are in the Sanctuary Islands.
