Regrettably, they're also pretty difficult to get. Requires completing a base realm constellation, then traveling to Eden, and then you have to shell upwards of 100+ for one.

It's all good! Perhaps start clearing through some of those, then. Each season should give you about five hearts per, if you have the candles to spare. Especially check out the Nesting quests - I believe those hearts will still be free.

If your energy runs out and you get hit by, let's say, a crab, it protects you twice against losing WL. It breaks after that and next hit will be as normal. You'd need to repair that helmet by visiting the realm elder that gave it to you

If a krill hits you... welp! Your energy depletes as usual and your helmet breaks in a single hit! Better to escape while you're still unscathed

Elder masks are really expensive though, so don't expect having it this month or the next

I have three! There are Shadow, Rosa, and Jag. Shadow and Rosa pretty much exist in isolation - they're a couple of skykids out there enjoying the world. Then you have Jag the chronicler, who's trying to piece together the spirits' history, figure out the reason for their existence, and make a new world for the descended skykids.

Sadly, when Taion was born, Nimue and Isurd were killed by Krills. Nimue was found dead in a body of polluted water, but it was not known where Isurd was. Taion was the remaining survivor at only 50 minutes old, protected by Nimue.

Prince on the other hand, is a young, and i mean very young scholar, a young teen if you will, following the steps of Gale. He tries so hard to convince Gale that he's smart enough to enter the archives, but as always Gale will decline it.
Arthur is one of the young talented skykids who wants to show he can be the greatest flying master to get the respects of the Valley elders!

I think if I had to estimate, Shadow and Rosa would both be around 9 or so years old? Not the youngest, fairly sensible, but also still fresh and wanting world experience.

As far as headcanons go, because skykids descend fully-formed, they age slightly differently to us, or even spirits. So they act slightly older than your average nine-year-old would, but they're undeniably still children. Just also slightly more with a head on their shoulders.

You know what? I think I'm going to take a different approach here. No backstory. Who cares who I was before I got to the lands of Sky? Not like I'm going back. Also helps prevent canon snarl. Ages, I find, are similarly useless - the only measurement I would take is "how long have you been around". Like Moth years I guess?

I think Skykids are actually sorta like rock-people with an internal star, which manifests as their internal flame - while the spirits were more human-like and don't have a star, so they can't manifest fire out of nothing like skykids can.

there's technically two answers to this i think. the first one is the program VOCALOID sold by Yamaha; it's a voice synthesizer that recreates human language in songs. it is not AI-generated, all lyrics and melodies are hand-created by composers in the program using the voicebanks provided

You should try Pictures of the Past it's one of my favorite soundtracks and can be used as a good baseline to translating stuff into the sky instruments unless you already had a specific song you wanted to jump into

Mhm helps it become less overwhelming; You could also try using a sky music practicer like the composer tool to give yourself a feel of how you would translate your notes and overlay them, that way it's a lot less trial and error and you save your progress that you've learnt

I really wish you could change instrument tuning/pitch higher or lower, as the amount of keys don't always cover the range I want to use :(

Regarding the whole "whose heartbeat are we hearing" there are studies that observe heartbeats synchronizing in certain situations like when listening to a story, or singing together, or (iirc) hugging.

So the heartbeat we hear in game is both yours and the other person's/group of people because your heart/soul is synchronized.
