While sky:cotl will always have a place in my heart, I’ve fallen out of the game a long time ago and only come back when something catches my eye. But then I mostly have to either grind for or buy the stuff I want for real money. It’s either tiring or guilt tripping tbh. The game is not relaxing anymore, it’s all about grinding wax or just buying the stuff with irl money. From what I’ve heard the sanrio/cinnamoroll collab items are ALL in app purchases for ACTUAL MONEY and it’s EXPENSIVE. I hate it, I want to enjoy the game but all that’s left is literally doing candle runs (which are tiring even with friends and take a lot of time) or giving them your money. I want changes or I’m not going to play the game anymore.
That said, I’m only going to check here once in a while and might even stop doing that after a bit. Sky: cotl was a magical experience, but key word: was.

This is not a goodbye from me yet, but I think sooner or later it will come to an end, it already did to an extend. Love you all, but the game is different now

I've just returned after a long break and though I still love the vibes of the game, I lose motivation quickly and it seems more an more things are locked behind a pay wall. I still love this community and have a fun time vibing with random people or doing whatever, but i totally get how you feel!!

So i never really experienced the times bavk before the game emphasized grinding so much, back before it walled off the right to get things for new players
So my hope is one day i get to experience the game at the best it can be

The point is that not everyone even has the social energy to find or ask someone to carry them into the concert. It's not even about having the cosmetics back, a singular permission for new players to watch it to finish the questline could increase new player friendliness. Or heck, give a redux version for that, just to clear the damn quest solo late.

Overall for anyone planning outfits
I recommend not relying on TS
Because TS system is way too overclogged to fulfill its purpose
Most TS take 2 years at least to come back at this point, getting a given cosmetic from them is entierly up to luck of who shows up or not

If I had to pick tho, IAP locking is always worse. Cosmetics should have their primary function be "be pretty", not "oh yeah here's access to an exclusive area/event that others will never see again". Otherwise it's not even a "cosmetic", it's "gear".

Let's see, problems with Sky, ignoring the bugs we get occasionally;

A: IAP's getting more and more oppressive over the years

B: Elitist "exclusivity" (and other reasons) making Ults never return

C: Seasons being too tight on each other and in duration, causing burnouts.

D: Quality/size of seasons going down over time (from 6 to 4 spirits, and occasionally not even actual spirits)

E: TS pool is too large to have the current system function properly. Waiting list has become bigger than 2 years for some.

F: FOMO in general being overused as one of few reasons to buy anything in this game.

Which is the worst of these issues? My order for these are F, E, A, B, C, D

F, C and D on the same tier, E, B, A, personally? The seasonal thing troubles me most, but I’ve seen complaints about FOMO I kind of agree with. I would rank A with it, but I find that IAPs don’t trouble me for the most part, mostly. I focus more on stuff I like than stuff I’d miss.

But I think the tight season turnaround affects the quality of seasons as a consequence. That much is clear.

I believe Days of Nature have been delayed until later this month, but Days of Color start on June 1st!

from the elevator turn to your left and find the little tree
there should be a door nearby that you can enter to get to the remembrance guide
you get to purchase the plushies after doing a few of their quests

as for the little prince area enter the vault through a realm portal and head left
there should be a tunnel near a giant ladder (there's usually a wing light there) and just head on in there
it will take you to a room with 3 portraits and there are meditation shrines to sit on
one of them is the little prince area denoted by a fox emblem

I’d recommend it! Gligar/Gliscor and Mantine are both fun tanks (Gligar even comes with the added bonus of a fun and unique typing), while Arcanine is an excellent jack of all trades.

Though that’s fair! I’ve probably used uncountable Jolteons now.

It can! Dittos are great for if you’re working on more complex teams because of it, but it’s also just as good for casual use.

It just doesn’t work on stuff like legendaries.

Aurora's songs (especially in the concert) show us glimpses of the past, back when the civilisation was still alive
It shows us darkstone mines in the forest caves, the war in golden wasteland, the shattering, mantas getting hunted in the valley, ect

Shattering yes, it told us more about the way the darkness fell upon the realms
And prophecy has stuff that may relate to the Prince/King, which is like a whole can of worms

it is more nuanced than this tho cause i'm sure a good chunk of skids make themselves candle run and they find themselves burnt out all the time, especially if they're saving up for something specifically. i'd say find a good balance between grinding, and enjoying the game in other ways

Personally, I say prioritize the realms you love the most. Certain realms have more wax than others, but if you don't enjoying running through wasteland don't cr there! I do Isle even though it doesn't have as much wax as some areas :)
