its more of a texture than flavour, and be sure they are ripe but not too ripe

In fact, each of the realms you listed aren't enough for going from 19 to 20 on their own when looking at the wiki's wax values
Because the 20th candle alone is 988 wax (for reference a candle cake is 50)
The wiki's "daily light" page has the exact values on each candle's wax amount

The basis of it is
Slight increase at 5 candles
Another at 10, then 15
Then another increase at 18, and from that point forward each candle is around 2x the cost of the previous one

I find that pigeons and seagulls are night and day in that regard. Pigeons seem to be really polite, no matter what. Like yeah, they'll trot around you, maybe stand on a table or something, but respect your space. Seagulls will steal anything not nailed down.

At zero candles, assuming you do a 15-candle CR until next TS day, you can get ~150 candles by the time Thursday rolls around. I think my personal recommendation would be to hold off on the hat if you don't really want it so badly, but you could probably get away with buying it, too, especially as Thursday through Sunday would get you about another 60 candles.

even when I try to catch the right time, I always seem to miss the main event, especially grandma. I've only ever caught grandma once by accident and all intentional times (at the right times) I never seem to get her. not only that, I'm in the right timezone!

I’ve tried being social before and meeting people, but the second I’m approached I just either freeze and pretend to be afk or try and run for it. I just get too nervous with people and end up trying to avoid them.
