I thought it'd be a bit annoying if they ran out of battery and ceased functioning forever afterwards

with hearing aids in general, go to a board certified MD of Audiology. They will recommend the best type of aid. I have Behind the Ear aids. Your dad may benefit from In the Canal aids

It's just a little difficult to find specialists. They tend to be in the city in fancy hospitals and the city has so much traffic.

Rarely any good specialists out here in the boondocks, hence why I would ask advices or tips from people who have hearing issues.

I sometimes wonder what causes hearing loss.

I thought, maybe it's a number of factors with my dad. Maybe because of his poor dental hygiene where the uneven teeth spacing affected his ear bones. Maybe because he loves listening to loud music. Maybe it's because of all the medicine he took that had side effects on auditory nerves.

It'd be nice if I could talk to his doctor.

My mom sort of belived she unknowingly cursed him to lose his hearing.

It's hard to explain, but the tip of your jaw bone's very close to your ears. Plus there's this whole intricate connection with each other.

You noticed how some doctor specialists are "EENT", "Eyes, ears, nose and throat"? It's because these systems are closely connected to each other.

Because he has less teeth on one side of his mouth, he tends to use the other side to chew more. He also often bites his tongue, a lot. I can hear him angrily curse everytime he does it.

We once went to a doctor and I bought some limes for them from our tree. This doctor was actually a distant cousin from my mom's clan. Initially the limes were a gift to him because our tree was abundant with it.

He said he'll make the consultation free because he has never seen a lime fruit for 10 years, and mentions just bring him some smoked fish for the limes next time.

You totally can, and definitely should if you feel like playing is being too much right now..! If that can make you feel better or help in decision taking, I believe that a lot of us are taking it slow this season… and personally, I found the grinding more exhausting after being able to experience so many easy candles for a week… I am also considering taking it slower, doing dailies and not rush on the season (it’s not going anywhere !) and eventually cr but not too intensely

I have 3. Their story all together is kind of what would happen if The Florida Project met Season of Rememberance. Basically there's two siblings who get seperated from their family during a huge shard explosion. The older sibling, Quark now has to take on the role of a parent for zir little sister Moonie, who is physically handicapped from the explosion. They end up reuniting with Voith, a family friend who's basically kind of like what Hopper is for Eleven in Stranger Things for Quark and Moonie, and tags along with them acting as the main parental figure, and keeping tabs on Quark.

I don't know where to begin, really, but...

Shadow and Rosa are a pair of nature-lovers! Shadow hails from Golden Wasteland, whereas Rosa is from the Prairie Peaks. They both wander the world together, learning more about its denizens. Both love plants; however, Rosa has also always had a natural affinity for animals, having grown up among the timid manatees of the Peaks and knowing how to safely approach them. (Granted, Shadow still keeps her from trying to tame a krill, but she'd try if they'd let her.)

Jag is an explorer and adventurer from the Crescent Oasis, on the other hand. He has an endless thirst for knowledge, and has spent much of his life wandering the world to learn more about it. He's quite connected to the lore of my world, actually: he was one of the first eleven skykids who initially came to be after the fall of the spirits (the youngest of the lot, actually), and the only one left among them after the remaining ten met their end in Eden. Jag was in their party; however, he had a very, very bad feeling about the whole situation, and turned back about where PNR is ingame. He reasons that whatever awaits after the point he stopped at, it's not his fate to experience, and something was trying to tell him that. He feels that there is a mystery in the world at large that needs to be solved, and so he's dedicated his life to trying to know all there is to know. He does explore Eden from time to time, and helps out any skykid who decides to make the ascent... but he never ventures beyond where he stopped his first time.

In my own headcanon, skykids give titles to the people they don't know the true names of (explaining why spirits are named what they are), so many who know of him, but don't know him directly, like to call him the Wistful Ferryman.

Family dynamics?
Atou Kail and Moha Tharou, a Journey Wayfarer and a newborn Sky Moth meeting at Isle.
They don't know where they are, but they decide to go through the realms, exploring the world and reaching Eden together. At Eden, Kai is given the choice to go to his generations afterlife, or stay there with Moha in Sky. And he chooses to stay.
At the end, Moha thinks that Kail is truly gone, stumbling back to Home and looking forward past the dailies statue with sadness, until they hear a familiar, elegant call. A much more sky child esque Kai is sitting where the Bloom tree would be, playfully and awkwardly saying, "Moha! I have been waiting for you, silly one." Which are the first words he's able to say with the modern tongue of this new generation.

Context: I imagine Journey and Sky are the same world, just Journey is very ancient, the Two Flames sky children are the generation before the current one, but Wayfarers are the first of the generation.

Something I’m half-considering is, assigning a season to each OC. So, sort of like, seasons like Prophecy and Abyss are Jag’s as a seeker of knowledge, though he’s also responsible for Revival and beginning the restoration of the Aviary. Not thought much beyond that, though. The closest I have is that I think Moments would be both Shadow and Rosa - she’d be showing them her home!

Thank you! Also, because Kai is from the Journey generation, he severely struggles in Valley due to the cold. Moha will hold a candle out to keep him warm, by the end he's almost unable to move, but Moha and some other sky kids are able to rush him into the Temple and through the secret tunnel to heat up again at the fireplace.
And once he meets the elders, they notice that he isn't from their time. "You are from a generation long before even us, Kail." And when he chooses to stay, he genuinely becomes part sky kid to fully experience the world without any struggle. When Kai and Moha reach Valley to see the rest of what it has to store, Moha gets anxious, but sees he's doing fine and calls happily, even dragging other sky kids to tell them about how happy they are

I'll just share my favorite little bit of headcanon and i'll share more later when i get home

Masks are very important to spirits in my headcanon! When a skykid is born, they're given a blank mask. When they leave their home to look for their place in the world, they take this mask with them.
When they find a place to settle, they'll carve or paint that mask to match the one of the other spirits around them! Which is why spirits in a single season have similar masks

Being given a mask by someone else is like being accepted as part of their family!

They, albeit from the current, newest generation, are still tied to the Wayfarers, the Isle elder is able to roughly talk to Kai and explain that he can leave to his own Ancestors, but Kai chooses not to. He understands that his Ancestors will tell his family his new life, and chooses to be Reborn as a partial Sky Child. He will always remember his native tongue, will forever have stories of his past, but will never let go of Moha

the stone furniture that's avaliable at the season guides work desk thingy arent seasonal items, they will be in the game permanently and work on a rotation where different ones are purchaseable on different weeks. (and cost regular candles, hearts, and ascended candles)
the wooden furniture that you see on display on one side of the shop are seasonal items that will no longer be purchaseable when the season ends

i really think the aviary is probably the best thing to happen to this game in a long, long time, like in the grand scheme of things an update to the home area doesn't really seem like much but aviary being a village goes such a long way toward making the game feel so much more alive than the old home island ever did and i love it so much

This is how the Revival quests should work, yes. I think the idea here was to give new players incentives to do old Season quests. For players who already had all these quests finished, the Revival quests in Aviary were basically already complete and all they had to do was wait for the quest to be available during the season of Revival.

Honestly, not really. And especially not daily. If you want to know my personal opinion, 15-18 candles is a good target - it won't take you forever, and you'll still usually have enough for each TS week.
