Well you won't suddenly hold an umbrella too unless they used a spell but the person you are holding hands with should be safe from rain I think? At least that was how it was when I was being dragged by a moth when I tested the spell last Fortune. I need to read more about it to verify or try again this year with a player I can chat with.

as a vet now (2+ years, augh I miss being a moth ) the sky economy has been on a downward spiral. it's really disheartening to see what's was once a comfort game (with quite literally the most wholesome community in existence to boot) turn into a sandbox dress-up farm with impossible standards on grinding and astronomical prices. I mean, just look at the bloom capes/TS prices, they've nearly doubled in the past two years while wax has been harder and harder to scrape together (cough chevrons nuke cough afk wax removal)

I completely agree! I’ve been to Reddit a few times to look at the Sky subreddit and I’ve seen many people upset that with newer players comes less of an interest to help others and enjoy the game. Of course it’s great getting people into sky, but i agree. It’s definitely not the same. Also, I feel like it’s hard for new players to really get into the game.

to be fair the US economy has been on a spiral cuz inflation.
Also the Chevron change made it easier for players who don't have much time to gain more candles easier because it's less time to get the first many candles.

first time i went there i was like "i need the red candles. for money!" i had mixed reactions between scared and amazed. the scenery's awesome, but that depends on people. i kinda sneakily dodged a lot of things and boom i made it.
kinda weird, but it's okay if you wanna bring a friend or two. i did it solo despite being warned once you go there multiple times you may have already memorised the map and everything seems breezy (kinda literally)

When I first went to eden as a moth I was dragged along by another moth who I thought knew what they were doing (they definitely didn't) I didn't understand the objective of giving wl to the statues, freaked out about losing wl to the rocks and quit sky lol

It's a bit confusing to me though, a creature who's territorial generally has a pretty good reason for doing so, and usually have pretty large territories compared to their size. The graveyard, for example, has 4 krill patrolling one very small area compared to their combined sizes, which wouldn't make sense from a territorial perspective

Maybe a bit of both? They don’t like other creatures (besides crabs) in their territory, but they also like snacking on light.

As far as game mechanics go, it wouldn’t be worth it to depict krills as pack hunters or show territorial strife, but I still wonder.

I feel like the krills got drawn into the graveyard because it used to be a whaling area for the gw spirits (there is a large gate, the place has a lot of boats and some docks, and then large whale skeletons), but the krills kinda ate everything up and they stayed not knowing where else to go.

There was, yeah! There’s just the whole deal of, when the poll was first unveiled, I believe they confirmed that the spirit who won the poll would be the second spirit to arrive after PC release. Which basically guarantees Sassy Drifter as #1, because at this point it’s tradition.

Saying that, though, depending on how close we are to PC’s release, maybe this week might not be Gratitude because of them.

But if it is Gratitude, might give us an interesting indication on how ready it is. (Or they’ll just blindside us and have us with Grat TSes two weeks in a row.)

It's much easier to get lost wings back nowadays compared to when I started playing back in 2020. You have the map shrines that precisely tell you which region to go to for retrieving the wings, you have countless tutorials on YT , plenty of helpers to wing run with as a moth . Also , you can have a maximum of over 200 wings, the difference between 11th star(150) and 12th star is 50 stars(200), so it makes little difference in that range.

true but we did see the deer shooed away the krill but also in original narrative of the tale, the deer is known to also cleanse things. probably the area loosing all those darken plants is just showing that the colored deer can cleanse or ward off such benevolent creatures. [though that would mean crabs as well but the deer doesn't see them as a threat though.]

The deer could have made a fleeting cameo and then left without cleansing the entire region. Then with every task completed, the deer would cleanse more and more of the area.

I do know during the Q&A they hosted on Reddit that tgc said there's no plans to remove home and they want to see how things go with having both aviary and home as options for loading into the game - based on the poll last week there seems to be a very decent balance at least in skycord community for people enjoying both spaces so I don't think they'll scrap home, I just think they'll end up reinventing it at some point to perhaps serve a different purpose than it does now. Hoping they'll make it into a space where we can actually have our own little house

Yes, it's a good aspect of the game that it compartments different areas at different difficulty levels. This is why I wanted this special area to be riddled with poisonous mashrooms and aggressive krills, it's not a place you have to travel to , but you can if you want chaotic fun. A bit like eden.

I do hope they reinvent old home in future because right now, to me at least, it does not feel very homely, whereas Aviary does, being able to go and greet the Hopeful Steward with a hug every time I log in, visit my favourite guides as I walk down the street before reaching the portal area

elder hair has been broken for a few patches, tbh it's just as well, the cosmetic is super broken right now

The aviary and the basic home have a nostalgic value for different type of veterans . The iphone vets obviously love aviary because that's the concept sky started out with but had to scrap because of technical limitations. For Android vets like myself, we love the basic home because of how many memories we have made there (from talking with our first friends, to petting our first moths to having parties and hide and seek games). Maybe that's why the polls are evenly balanced regarding this issue.

Wait guys all seriousness aside i actually believe the reason the elder rewards bug is happening is because their doing something else to it or changing it. Think about it. How would lots of players in a server affect Eden? Sure if your in orbit you may crash but I don't think it would do a bug with the elder rewards.

If the servers are having issues, the whole game is impacted because the whole game relies on these servers to work at all
Just because an area is remote or far away doesn't make it any less reliant on servers

The first few nodes should still cost the same, but the higher tiers are getting more and more expensive with each new emote
Some features are locked behind higher nodes than they once were, though chat should still be the same as it always was
