Yep
You just have to find the correct spirit in the world (that specific one is in the Lost Ark area, accessed trough the boat to the right of the first big desert of golden wasteland, the one where the vortex dumps you after leaving the social area)

The way traveling spirits work is that you can find them in the world at any time, and get their emote
but to buy their other items you must wait for them to visit home
Once they do visit home you get access to their (very expensive) friendship tree if the spirit has been found in the world

(Assuming you're not on your first playthrough) It's better if you have a lot of WL because then if you lose them, you're losing ones that can be re-collected in the world - on the contrary if you haven't gotten a lot of WL's then you're going to lose the wing buff ones and have to do eden again

I think firealpaca is a good choice for beginners, but I use clip studio paint nowadays if you want a more robust paid option

I do think firealpaca has a paid version on steam but I can’t vouch for if it’s worth the money compared to the free version or not

I use procreate, it’s a good option for just kinda starting out I think, good simpler controls in my opinion. Kinda like starting out with flipaclip while animating but with much more options as an art program

Probably Forest... on the first playthrough, the atmosphere is incredible, the gameplay gets more engaging due to the introduction of an actual threat and more elaborate level design. It has tons of variety in its side areas, I was blown away when I found the entrances to the wind tunnels and treehouse. Now, I find it's the best place to pick up moths and take them under my wing! The most rewarding moth interactions seem to take place in forest for some reason...

It's really cool because you get a real sense of progressing as a player - the first time you go to forest you're actually quite scared, exploration is genuinely dangerous due to your low cape wedges + unfamiliarity with the area. But as you keep going at it, you can feel the level opening up, and there's a real sense of accomplishment and freedom that I think is the game at its best

i personallly can consistently do earth and air trial though some parts i kinda get stuck at for a bit but other parts i do well
could probably master water trial if i could figure out this how to do this one part

Water trial for me is all about timing. And like the other trials, you cannot rush. Take your time, observe your surrouding, and then move quickly and precisely.
I'm getting a hang of Earth and Air trial || mainly because I learned some shortcuts ||.

The last time me and someone did the trials, at the Water Trial ||we were very stubborn and kept falling in the water and healing each other. A group of very friendly skykids "completed it", and were trying to encourage us to do the same. But dangit, we really wanted that WL! So after strugglebussing it for 15 mins, we got the WL, finished the trial....then realized if we had finished first, we could just walk through the water to get the WL.|| We haven't done them since. ;-;

before i sleep, i was reminded of that one time there was a red shard and i was moving to the meditation spot to do the second part when my skykid suddently gets stuck inside a shard and i kept losing winged light (THANKS THE VERY LIGHT THAT THERE WERE SOME VERY VERY KIND SKYKIDS AROUND THAT PICKED MOST OF THEM UP)

Like here's me, with almost a year of experience under my belt, timidly creeping behind this moth with all default cosmetics and occasionally honks instead of lighting the candles, and they're ABSOLUTELY FEARLESS

I just figured out something, and it’s one the things I’m adding to my ‘this doesn’t make me weird people, cause everyone does it’ list.
So I’ve figured out that, even if the bell is a MINUTE away from ringing, no one will pack up until someone else does, and this causes people to rush at the last second, myself included.
So, I’ve now made the terrifying decision of being the first person to stand up and be the first one to the door, so others won’t feel awkward

A good way i found to make candles too is to visit the trials with someone
If someone carries you trough trials they go quite fast and you get a lot of wax, especially from fire and air
There's probably people willing to uber you trough in #looking-for-group-live

If you want to get a bunch of wax in a different way to shake things up and avoid boredom/burn out, there's also the races in the valley of triumph which give a decent amount and are generally a fun time
Also also about grandma, remember that the amount you can visit her per day is 2
About 600 wax first time and 400 second

I believe geyser also is 2 per day for hitting the 1k wax cap for it?

There's a website called sky clock that has the schedule of all of these events like grandma and geyser
Really useful to have

Finally, black shard eruptions give out a good chunk too
To know when those happen, i recommend checking out the skyshards website

Shard events are that thing where the game notfies you "darkness has fallen on [kingdom]"
In a specific place within that kingdom, a giant shard will be found along with darkness plants you must burn to complete the event
Most days are a shard, it can be red (gives ascended candles) or black(gives wax)
The rewards, locations, times and such are all on the skyshard website

Wether or not you get a shard, and what that shard will be is based on a repeating cycle
I think it's monthly, with some variation based on what day of the week it is on each shard

Red shards also grant you access to a thing called "shard memory" after completion
It's content from the season of shattering
There are i think 6 different memories, each have a winged light in them

The first time you go trough them, they appear in a set order
Inside a memory, you'll find the seasonal guide of that past season and can progress its quest tree : this allows the next memory to appear on next shard completion
Once the whole quest tree is complete, you get a random memory from each red shard (everyone is given the same random one for a given shard)
