so you're getting there!

it gets super sketchy once you get near the end because it's total RNG how many WL you lose from rocks and the amount of times I've been like 1-2 away from the last statue and it just gets knocked out of me

Half the battle in Eden is just having enough WL to tank the rocks at the end

imo the safe number to have to tank the rocks is like 160 WL
once you're there if you're efficient about it, you're golden

the second phase is very easy, just watch the beams on the floor
take your time and pay attention to where they cross

Make sure your audio is turned up in Eden. Listening for the rocks helps a lot.

phase 1 the rocks come down at even intervals and in very specific regions of the area, so you can bolt straight into it and not get hit very much to make it to the next lantern based on timing
phase 2 there are red beams that cross the floor and I usually wait like 3-5 seconds after they pass the route I'm taking to bolt across and it works just fine
spamming jump running like you're sprint jumping in minecraft is key

there's also exactly 33 statues in phase 1 so at this point every time I go in, I make note of how many WL I start with, take away 3, and as long as I have that number by the time I reach the end of phase 1 then I know I can keep going and don't have to double check to see if I got em all
I used to try count one by one but it's easier that way

we're supposed to write an essay on a topic we picked about some cool cases in english class today (i.e. "schools aren't teaching kids the skill they need for the future" which i wholeheartedly agree) but this is so boring and timeconsuming.for me... if we just have to jot down main points and have a showdown 1v1 debate in front of class then i would be HAPPY. debates are my forte, and it's easier to speak out an idea than typing out a whole honking document full of everything in my head, i can't even keep up! what the hell english teacher.

This season is actually different from most seasons anyway, so I can see how it might be hard to get the seasonal cosmetics. There's a shop in the new area with the logo of the season at the front of it where you can spend seasonal candles. I'm not sure if you have to complete the first quest to access it.

I learned pretty quickly after I started playing that moths have A TON of hearts they can simply buy from guides and regular spirits, but outside of that, hearts are the hardest currency to obtain. So I just stopped buying hearts since candles are more reliable and you get daily light anyway

@deep anvil You can give daily light by going to your friend constellation, tapping on one of your friend's stars, and then tapping on the icon that appears. When a friend has given you daily light, their star sparkles and tapping on it claims that light. It's also very common for people to befriend each other and NOT give daily light, so it's possible you haven't received any from your friends yet, especially if they stopped playing.

1. Go join Uber group on a CR via #looking-for-group-live
2. Do after reset so u get bigger groups.
3. Do that daily for a few weeks and you’ll have 100+ friends.
4. Those friends light will give u daily 💜 PLUS MORE FROM MESSAGE SHRINES N STUFF.

Well… I have heard sad stories of players coming on discord looking for their lost friends… I don’t think they understood that maybe they were being blocked… tough to accept that ya know.

I’ve heard it’s because if you unfriend someone accidentally or in a fit of passion, finding them again and re-friending them is very difficult. So instead, they make it so it’s a reversible process; block and unblock.

tbf human civilization is moving at an EXPONENTIALLY faster rate, it's getting harder and harder for the old folks to keep up. my paternal grandpa was a refugee and my maternal grandma and grandpa worked on a plantation. can you imagine what it's like living through two world wars, the inventions of cars, planes, vaccines, refrigeration, bandaids, TV, the discovery of pencillin, the microscope, thermonuclear weapons, the first ever computers, space travel, the pocket calculator, the first video game consoles EVER, the first cellphones, the LITERAL INTERNET, DVDs and MP3s, and... well... all THAT?

Technically Sky is more of a "party game", which is what I think you're missing. The fun comes primarily from wandering about, meeting new people, and playing with friends. (Unless you're a solo player who really likes farming candles, I guess.)

Okay, if you've done everything "to do" in this game - it's true that Sky is rather limited, especially because this is still a beta of what TGC actually wants to implement. The gameplay loop after that either falls into cosmetics or socializing. So I suppose it's all open-world after this

I feel like sky is just a lot more work than I expected, like everything expensive so you’re forced to farm and stuff and it stressful when the urgency of it being limited time offer. Kinda feel overwhelmed rather than relaxed playing the game because of stuff feeling mandatory

I feel like sky’s in a weird place where it’s not quite a game but it’s also not exactly entirely for social interaction cause it’s still at its core a game - like it’s journey but focusing more on player interaction and bonding, but the problem is some players are naturally less social so the gameplay is now just candle running instead of hanging out with friends… it’d be interesting to see if they add anything that helps fix this lol

I feel like the key to playing sky is to have a good way of viewing it - like if it’s just grinding for candles then in the long term that’s not really gonna work, but I’ve found if you think of it more as a “hey imma just have fun in this silly little world and play music/explore/listen to music” and you can also choose to cr on the side of that then it helps you stay hooked in the game

It kinda occurred to me as sky is coming to PC, it could very well be possible to play instruments in sky using an electronic instrument as an input device such as an electronic keyboard (or piano)
Just a little bit of fiddling with assigning the appropriate keys to its respective keyboard input and you could use it to play music in sky

I feel like worldbuilding is so nice-- it usually keeps plotholes from happening, allows you to detail content that might be scrapped but is nice to have, and it allows you to go down rabbitholes that might be a niche part of the actual story
