Bless the TOTK devs. They looked at the shenanigans we got up to in BOTW with stuff like speedboats by using Magnesis on treasure chests to propel the raft forward by pushing the chest against the mast, or the minecart flying machine and went "Yo but what if we made that an important mechanic?" and I love them for it.

the candle counts for cosmetics is bloated cause vets have hoards upon hoards of candles, while moths basically have none. incentivising CONSTANT candle grind or shilling out

There aren’t this many spirits usually, having groups of spirits return at a time is pretty new and I think it’s more for vets so they don’t have to wait as long for their favorite spirits to come back. My recommendation is to not worry too much about the spirits cause they’ll always return eventually

They bring back more spirits at once now to help cycle them faster. Don't try to get everything at once and don't worry if you miss items. I skipped a lot of items when I first started playing and it's really fun to see the spirits return because I can decide if I want to get those items I missed.

yep i always say to new players to not try to get everything or you'll get burned out! the many number of spirits is an opportunity to get ones you missed, not to buy everything. have patience, give it time, it works out if you stay here long enough :)

I've been making Paradox Fakemons with Draco and I'm having so much fun. All the Paradox Pokemon in S/V are violent guys so I thought "Let's make some Paradox mons who are friends instead". I think my favorites so far are Iron Glider, a Mantine Violet Paradox who's equipped for search and rescue operations in dangerous conditions, and there's also an Audino Scarlet Paradox who I sadly haven't come up with a name for yet, but it plays more into the healer aspect of Audino by having it carry around plants it uses to make salves and medicine.

Said Paradox Audino are the ones who taught ancient humans the beneficial uses of the Pokemon world's plants, eventually leading to the Potions and other healing items we have in the games. Also the Paradox Audinos take Mega Audino's floof and turn it up to max because I want them as huggable as possible and nobody can stop me.

Season chat have learned to overcome the unpredictability of shardfall through effort and willpower, forming a pattern and creating reason where others see none. Lorechat will go insane for several days at a time typing entire essays about physics in Sky, and by the time they snap out of it not even they quite understand the ramblings of forbidden knowledge they wrote while lost in madness.

It’s an event where you can get candles by clearing darkness is certain areas like hidden forest or valley of triumph. I hope I got it right.

Shard events are basically big spikey shards get exploded from eden and land across sky, each day has a different (or no) location and as Spooky said you can get ascended candles or wax from them. Shards have different strengths, some are very difficult and have extra floating rocks, angry crabs, etc. which gives you more ac, others are weaker and you get less ac or if they're black shards instead of red you'll get regular wax.

#questions-and-help is also a great place to ask for more info and shard schedules, there's some really wonderful and dedicated folks there who keep track of those things
