Yeah I'm kinda happy to hear to some it's addicting, and to others it's not an addicting game.

Because I almost went down with an addicting game, and I recognized that "okay this game is making me addicted, I need to delete it asap". Like, just this morning I spent 3/4ths of it playing the game.

Comparing Sky:COTL to the game, Sky makes me feel happy working hard for guranteed items. The other game makes me want to keep working out of frustration for gacha items.

Not to mention my creature keeps getting newbie-crushed, sending me back to almost square one everytime.

Hello, Sky community. I’m Saurus, It’s 2 months until my 3rd year playing this game and being within this community. I loved everything this game has to offer, it is probably the best game I’ve ever played throughout my life. You might know me for posting my fanartworks in this server’s art channels. But I have some bad news that has been tearing me away from Sky. I feel a bit worried about posting this message here as my opinion may not be favoured by a select few, but I hope to reach out. If this message contains a topic that may not be suitable to the channel I apologise and will delete it.

Around the start of 2023, it’s getting more and more difficult for me to stay with this community. I’m thinking of leaving altogether even. I’ve seen this community grow so much, it’s pretty awesome to know that many people are familiar with the game now, but at the same time I don’t happen to find anyone like me when it comes to boundaries within the fandom, and would definitely rather see things that bring comfort to everybody. The reason why I never usually talk in sky servers is that I would come across discussions and definitely images that are sensitive to me. I wish that our favourite characters are drawn in more ‘pure’ ways, rather than always being depicted in all sorts of romantic relationships all the time. It just… kinda ruins the game for me.

I hope there are others I can relate to who have concerns about such things, but as a whole I desire a sky community I am comfortable to be part of.
I wish it were to feel more welcoming to a person of religious faith (e.g Islam, Judaism, Christianity) to freely browse and chat in a community where every discussion is also with equal respect and with civil treatment to everyone, especially those who may have different morals and opinions to each other.

If you're talking about the, um, "rather mature" art on other websites, I fully agree with you. However, I personally see nothing wrong with depicting two oc's liking each other. I personally have seen some bad things said in places like genchat, but ultimately, the mods take it down rather quickly, and it's an often rare occurrence. I'm a Christian and I feel welcome in this server, but this is just my personal opinion and I understand that other people may feel differently.

It’s not that big a deal unless you’re near a Spirit when it triggers or enter it’s path during the memory sequence though? I don’t understand why you feel it’s important enough of an issue to pretend to be afk. Prairie is the second realm, of course there’s going to be tons of baby moths running around to find the Spirits.

because its the spirit with the path all around the candles and i hate trying to fly off while the camera forces me to look backwards while trying to fly around the temple

also because moths have a habit of trying to get the tall guy with the funny mask to drag them to everything instead of exploring the world themselves and i just don't like that

Again, it’s not an issue if you don’t count as having triggered the memory. Just avoid being near it at the start or getting in the path and you won’t have to deal with the camera jank.

Also I don’t know if anyone else does this, but when I want to exchange hearts with a friend I always make sure to be the first one to offer the heart. I’ve luckily never fallen victim to a heart trade scam, but I know that for people who don’t have the ability to play a lot even just 3 candles can be big to them and I would feel awful if I tricked them out of their hard-earned candles. If someone doesn’t have enough candles to return the heart or is saving for something they want, that’s okay! No pressure.

I sometimes wonder if the reason people dislike Water Prophet much is because of their Trial? It was the very first one to open during Prophecy and people had never experienced anything like it before. I can imagine it caused a lot of frustration with a lot of people from how difficult it was, especially since it couldn't be cheesed as easily as the other Trials could.

I was one of those people frustrated with Water Trial too, along with the other Trials. But as I got more experienced with it by going through it, I actually started having a lot of fun! I liked figuring out spots where I could take a shortcut and challenged myself to see how quickly I could complete the Trial, or if I could get to the end without going above a certain number of deaths.

I'm lucky enough to be able to remember things pretty well after a few experiences with it. For example I got lost for hours on Fire on my first time and had to look up a map on Youtube, but after going through it a couple of times I learned the layout and now if someone needs help getting through it, I can get us through in 10 minutes tops.
