Adding onto this, you could have a second set of quests on offer from the Season Guide you chose to work towards the Ults of. Only instead of changing daily, you complete 1 or 2 quests whenever and can then go back for more so that you don’t have to stress about doing 8 quests every day. The Guide gives you Reverie Candles as a reward for completing their request, and you can then exchange those Reverie Candles with them to unlock rewards. Spells and stuff, and maybe once you exchange enough RC you get a spell of one of their Ults? I’m not sure.

People buy season passes for the sake of getting an exclusive time-limited ult I guess.
I suppose one way TGC could go about it is perhaps make ult items spell items? You could gain favor with the guides and they'd give you spells for the ults which lasts 30 minutes. 🤔

this whole idea of mine is to try and come up with a way to solve the issue of people being unable to get Ults because they didn’t have enough time to play during a Season or physically could not access or play Sky during that time.

It doesn’t invalidate the people who got the Ults during the Season but also allows people who weren’t able to play the Season a chance to get the things they were unable to.

it works for that style of game imo, after all it's in an incredibly complex world. having them wear extremely simple outfits would not match up. As long as each character is distinct, I see no issue.

Recently though, they've been making the same characters over and over again, it cycles through

"purple electro lady"
"some new person with dog/cat ears"
"fusion of four previous characters/5 star remake of a 4 star"

it's getting kind of bland, really, and they all have the same body types

That’s the thing. Why should the people who were lucky enough to play during the Season be the only ones allowed to keep their Ults permanently, meanwhile those who didn’t play the Season only get to have the Ults for a limited time? It’s unfair and favors those who got there first.

No, don't bring them back. They were exclusive to the season and they wouldn't be any good if they were brought back. It's like a small reward for completing the season and it wouldn't be far for the ones who first bought the pass only for the ult items to come back.

My idea is that you buy the equivalent of a Season Pass and then work towards the Ults just like you would during a Season. People still put in the effort to get those Ults so those who worked towards them during the Season don’t feel like their work is invalidated, but those who were unable to play those Seasons due to not being able to play Sky for one reason or another could still get those cool items they want.

If Sky is a game about inclusivity and fostering kindness, why should we promote jealousy towards those with Ults and those without?

I'm awful at explaining things - a gradient is like a blend of colours right? So a gradient map assigns these colors to the values in your drawing - for example, if your gradient was purple-yellow and you applied this to a shaded grayscale drawing, the light parts would be yellow and the dark would be purple! I use them for unifying my colors after I'm finished with my art. I can DM you an example rq if you'd like?
