That is a very smart plan -- and even though the tier-2 capes aren't required to complete the constellations, make sure to get the tier-2 blue cape at some point because that one is very cool and even more underrated

Your friends can send you a gift of light each day, and they can also send a heart daily if you have hi5 unlocked, gifts of lights give 1 heart fragment, and you need 60 to forge a whole heart, it’s a passive way to build up hearts

I think a lot of the interpretive lore we got from the concert kind of hammers the concept home. While elders are the closest to ancient entities we can reach at all times in the realm, AURORA is kind of just a guardian angel-like thing, maybe? Or like an Orbit elder, in a sense. Either way, we are all warriors of light.

I really do adore the idea of never being alone because you have someone who you cherished so many moments with looking over you, it’s an idea I want to explore a lot with the story of the Sakura Python (Jade) as she explores what lies beyond the reality she once protected and knew as her home.
Slight sidetrack here, but my idea for my character’s story has always been to tell my personal life experiences through a different perspective and way, exploring simple ideas further, like one of Jade’s powers being that she can project memories since she’s the Goddess of Time & Memories, so when she develops further knowledge in the Vault of Knowledge in the Kingdom of Sky, she actually learns of a way to create her own spirits using the energy of the projection lanterns, and through that she created a spirit of her long gone mortal best friend Jayla, and she takes this spirit of Jayla around the world of Sky, exploring everything and telling her of what she’s been up to in the 30-50 years since she had gone, talking about how she’s managed to overcome her struggle of feeling that she never managed to make lifelong friends since she’s an immortal goddess, before she finally takes Jayla’s spirit to the Repository, and let’s her seek refuge with the other spirits, giving her a true final rest

I should add that I think Sky is a really nice medium to pick for a story that brings up topics like immortality since the feels pretty similar to what I would imagine it would be like. Not only the endless cycle story-wise, but also how you make friends and watch them come and go. Although some stay, the so-called losses make the Orbit experience all the more bittersweet, even if you learnt a lot on the way and still have significant connections. Not sure if it was something you actively thought about, but it is a really cool parallel regardless, Jade.

Personally, I believe you are right to be upset if this was to go ahead, I certainly would be, as Sky is about togetherness of our community, however personally, I read this as speculation as to one unpopular way that this trading profiteering could be hindered, and there may be better ways.

one last thing before I go! the proposed system above is interesting but i don't think people will be too keen on having to spend money, and then a further (possibly high) AC cost - AC might be easier to get, but with the reduced frequency of red shards and how painful it is to go through eden weekly, and this quickly goes to being unenjoyable. and no matter how we work at it, there will always be those who complain about "but we bought it, it should be exclusive to us now!"

while i'm on the topic of AC, I think that the shield masks are a lil overpriced - I'm scared of what Valley, Wasteland and Vault masks will cost. they might be a nice little ornament but still, AC are just so grindy and painful to get that it might just become an unpleasant chore instead of a fun goal to pursue

i keep thinking about how that NPC in the office talks about players who already have the founder's cape, going from outrage over someone else having their "exclusive gift for me", to saying those gifts are best shared (putting aside the cape price lol)

this also having a potential TS mechanic with a price that high though would feel punishing, so id vote against that sort of move.

AC can be gained over time and it takes work and determination, a TS mechanic can feed into FOMO since youd have to wait so much longer for a chance at getting the thing you want. the more seasons we have, the more painful that gets.

but i suppose collab seasons would also be taken out because of how those work legality-wise, but still, itll add up u kno

i do like the idea of recolored ults but i DON'T like that all of them are iaps like i kind of understand the triumph dundun (and presumably the other 2 ult instruments since they have models in harmony hall) since it's permanent but the penguin hair is just pushing the problem back, like in two years you'll have players who missed both the penguin and owl hair

ultimately (no pun intended) i hope we see ults come back soon, or just someday. with playstation now having sky, i think about how those players are in the boat i am, having only come to sky during the season of performance, and then my friends who joined even later. being asked where i got the performance ult cape and krill ult cape really broke my heart, no joke. it was hard to say that now, theyre unobtainable, and i felt the need to like not wear those things around those players bc of how much i felt for them on it. (got over that, but needing to tell new players that hurts)

It has become a really huge problem these days I find it very disheartening that people would actually throw in a huge fortune with a risk of being scammed by a stranger online, just for an account with a past seasonal ult they never got to have

a while back in another game, someone spent THEIR ENTIRE STIMULUS CHECK buying an account that very quickly was caught and banned before they could liquidate anything.

if ults are brought back as they are, id want them to be AC goals. AC kinda do quickly wear out their use after everybody gets the big pricey things, and thats coming from me who kept running headfirst into the danger rocks to amass 250 AC for the forest elder mask. after getting the masks it's like....now what? yeah theres the wingbuffs from TS's, but.....those things DO eventually add up really high. why not keep trimming it down with goals people would really wanna work for?

blegh. thank you guys for entertaining the thought tho, i really have been stewing on it since seeing someone with the prophecy mask ult the other day. my heart sinking knowing it's unobtainable and then knowing newer players feel the same or similar seeing me in mine just doesnt feel nice.

there was a post somewhere that if they were to return, it would be an IAP because they wouldn't offer it for any igc equivalent so

also the reasoning given for high AC cost for forest mask was that they're non essential items like the T2 capes

that said, I just tested the ult masks with a new friend and there is a difference between them, but only with knockback distance
the forest one makes a shorter knockback length if you're standing still and get hit by a crab

Sadly I do not, and I know it must be difficult when it's your dominant arm. I'd suggest trying to use it less when you can do something easily with either arm.
