I'm a bit surprised tho that people say it's been difficult to follow the light, I kinda just barely moved my skykid when things got confusing and somehow would end up being skidnapped by the spirit light
Maybe the "mystery" behind doing this quest without struggling was just staying in glide mode and letting the light yoink you away

I have found something else with the wind paths
On the first island in the cloud part/wind tunnels part, where there's the flight symbol, the cloud pillar the island is attached to has a hole in it. If you fly directly towards the hole the camera suddenly shifts to a far view and you get to see your skid get launched out the other direction

I actually have my own headcanon about that: Aurora’s voice, as we hear it ingame, is the voice of the entity that we know as Megabird. It’s her that guides us at the beginning, and ||back to the light after our deaths. And it’s possible that it’s Megabird that returns us to life, too.||

Perhaps the reason why Aurora is this floating form is that that form, at present, is like a hollow shell. Perhaps based off a being once beloved by the spirits. Don't get me wrong, I love this season and holy cow Mindful miner is STRONK.
But (spoilers) ||I noticed there's a continuity error with the spirts that got crushed? There's a hooded stocky spirit and a hatless lean spirit with Mindful. The lean spirit got crushed and we saw stocky in panic with mindful. But then a little later on, we see mindful with lean spirit?? The guy who got crushed?||

||And then later on the supposedly crushed lean spirit is alive and well again x'D Where's his grave? Or maybe that's their twin. I guess getting crushed in the mines is a frequent occupational hazard and they all seemed unfazed with a new worker already.||
