It'll be alright, just go at your own pace. If there's one thing that I learned early on though is that the base game constellations will always be there, but Traveling Spirits and events come and go.

The most I can do for fancy flying is quick turns. And I still bonk a lot.

I came to a conclusion I am taking a break from sky. From the fight that happened || in beta || has pushed me a bit to wanna take a break. It is way too overwhelming to grind so much and I am getting a bit tired of it. I am a Gradititude/sanctuary moth. Doing this all the time does get a bit tiring. I will only be getting on to do dailies and nothing else. I hope y’all don’t get burn out from playing this truely is a amazing game but I think it is time for me to close up shop for a bit Stay awesome and take care my sky kiddos. You are amazing!

I like the sky music as well, but I just don't like valley of triumphs ost, it feels annoyingly upbeat

I mean it fits the vibe of Valley though. The races and the ice rinks, it conveys speed and happiness. Also matches the personalities of the Twins. It's definitely a little different from most of the game, but it's still wonderful music.

Like Fire now is alright, especially knowing some tricks, but back then you were literally left in the dark.

And @strange spire it's fun. Seeing them panic honk a bit, especially if you get spotted for a split second. I know it's a little mean, but gotta have some excitement in Wasteland every once in a while.

I don't think I'd have the heart to do that. Even if I'm helping a moth through, I'll honk twice as we approach the first krill as a warning.

yeah, i’ve been having this issue too, i don’t know if it’s been reported as a bug yet though but it probably has by other players— i might report it as well though just in case, you can do so in #report-a-live-bug

I remember just hiding in that little room next to the exit with the first krill, when I was a moth

the first thing i do while guiding friends is just telling them to go on ahead and figure it out themselves- i'll intervene if they lose wings but i don't want to take away the first interaction with a krill by being a safety net

I do that all the time now solo. Cuz they don't spot you if you know where to fly next to them.

Understandable, that! Same for me - even alone, I play cautiously. So I want to try to make sure others are aware of the issue.

@grizzled burrow I get that. I'm okay with them, I have dealt with worse stealth sections in gaming, but krill are still terrifying. I always feel on edge crossing graveyard because I have dealt with some unexpected krill issues there.

I unfortunately got spoiled on the existence of krill. By the game, no less. I got the 'Beware the Dark Dragon!' message on the startup screen on I think my second day.

@vocal osprey Same, but I can all but guarantee Young Lore would be terrified of them. This is the same person who struggled with some Zelda games because she was weirdly scared of stealth segments.

as a moth, i also decided to stand for a long time in the wastelands water to see what will happen AND thought the red crystals (||the eden ones, not shattering ones||) were safe

Oh I was terrified of Krill my first time seeing them. I had a feeling there was gonna be a dark creature based on Journey, but when I saw them the first time, I literally said out loud, "Oh honk nope nah fam nope"

omg idk if u ever played wind waker but trying to avoid the redeads in the earth temple— literally terrifying i hated how they would scream it would always scare me

and it took me forever to do the return the thunder helm quest in botw cuz i was so nervous to try and do the stealth mission in the hideout i think i ended up bypassing the entire room where all the blademasters are patrolling on the floor by going into the free banana room and then climbing out a window and walking across the ceiling beams to the exit instead of on the ground

i found out real quick when i ended up stuck on one and lost about 2 wedges bc of it my more experienced friends were trying to help me and ended up getting stuck too it was awful we ended up just having to go home and restart

Admittedly, it took me too many years to even get past the Forsaken Fortress. I still have to turn the volume down when I'm trying to sneak past Moblins.

But agreed - far as I'm concerned, for such a cutesy-looking game as Wind Waker, it's got the most terrifying incarnation of ReDeads. For me, any encounter with them is ended with rapid-fire button-mashing.

Funny thing is, I actually got lost in the hideout, which made things worse for me. So I was stressing about stealth, stressing about finding the exit, stressing about everything...

omg i actually forgot about the forsaken fortress, i think i had my older neighbor who i borrowed the game from when i was little help complete it for me bc i got utterly lost 😭😭 i remember spending like 20 minutes sneaking past a moblin in a barrel and when i finally got to the exit i wasn’t even going the right way and i got attacked by a horde of those miniblins with the pitchforks and ended up dying cuz i still didn’t have my sword looking back at it tho the forsaken fortress layout is stupidly easy, i was just like 9 years old and rlly dumb

the first yiga stealth mission was hard but the dlc one where u gotta carry one of those glowing orbs thru the hideout backwards is even worse cuz u cant use the shortcut i did on the first one and u have to carry that stupid orb around the whole time 😭😭 i got caught so many times it wasn’t even funny

@vocal osprey Eh, 9 year olds are never smart, let's be honest, so I think you get a pass for it. Ironically, for how much of a problem young me had with stealth segments, I've learnt that it's actually easier to just get caught ASAP, break out of jail, and continue your run from there.

I've not done the DLC yet. I can see I'm not going to enjoy that one...

that’s what i used to do, get caught and then break out but if u actually stay in the barrel and make it up the stairs u end up right in front of the first search light so it’s about the same in ease, i think once u get out of the jail u end up in front of the same search light so it doesn’t make much of a difference

the second time u go to the fortress tho u wanna get caught and put in jail bc i’m pretty sure there’s a heart piece in there

Oh 100000%. Twilight Princess is masterful game on it's own. Yeah there's a good bit similarities to OoT, but it's a linear Zelda game, they are all similar. Though for me, what puts TP over OoT is Midna. Just that companionship between them is so good. Easily better than Navi.

I agree, and it tells a unique story about the existence of the Twilight in the Zelda universe. Cuz things do stay consistent between a lot of Zelda games, but the Twilight, there's only small nods to it in BoTW and that's it. And yeah, no one comes close to Midna, her character, her writing, her design, and her usefulness in combat too. One of the most near perfect video game companions ever.

i rlly loved tp, the twili beasts are one of my fav enemy designs cuz they’re so unnerving and zant is one of my fav zelda enemies cuz he’s just like . unapologetically insane and his bossfight is super cool

i’ve started both oot and majoras mask on my ds but have yet to finish either bc i forget i have a ds and playing on a smaller screen is harder for me i wish they were ported to the switch or something (they might actually be with the nintendo online expansion pass ?? but i don’t have that )

i think my fav games tho are skyward sword, wind waker, and botw tho— wind waker was the first zelda game i ever played, skyward sword was the first i ever completed and i love the story and characterization (and ghirahim my beloved), and i’ve played probably over 10,000-15,000 hours of botw soooo yeah

i would loveeee another zelda game that explores the twilight realm bc u only rlly see the palace in tp and cant interact with the normal twilight citizens which i wish u could i would love to like be able to explore their civilization and get more info on them bc i think they’re so cool

I think my top three have to be Twilight Princes, Skyward Sword, and Majora's Mask.
I would put Breath of the Wild up there, but personally I think it's in a class of it's own since it is open world. Like despite being able to travel anywhere you want in previous Zelda games, most of the story was linear before BoTW

apparently the botw sequel is supposed to be darker which i’m excited about they said they’re taking inspo from majoras mask and red dead redemption 2 so i have high hopes

i liked botw a lot but it was definitely focused on being open world as it’s primary selling point since a zelda game had never been open world before, but i hope in the sequel and in future games we get a balance of both where we get more dungeons in the traditional dungeon format while also keeping the open world element

it wouldn’t be a canon zelda game but i’d also rlly love like a zelda mmorpg where instead of playing as link or zelda or anything u play as a citizen of hyrule and u can pick ur race and stuff and ur basically like joining up with others and stuff to try and navigate the world where things are going crazy cuz of ganon and there’s a hero and princess running around trying to fix stuff but u don’t rlly know what’s going on bc ur a regular person i feel like that could be sooo fun and ideally it wouldn’t be set in like an existing tloz world but a new one where we can have all the possible races, like twilights and rito and zora and sheikah and gerudo and yiga and goron and hylian etc

And yeah, BoTW was very open world and it did it's job good. Though yeah, I hope to see that too. A good mix of traditional Zelda while also keeping it's new open world. I have a question though about the sequel. We already know it's gonna take place in the past, but does that mean Link will already have the Master Sword? Or will we be seeing the creation of the Master Sword? Or will there be story of how Link got it in the first place. And as a side note, I HOPE that Nintendo never brings back Fi. Cuz as much as I love Skyward Sword, just Fi... no... please.

and we don’t know for sure if it’ll be set in the past or not at this point, what i think it’ll be is that we’ll probably be traveling back and forth from present day to 10,000 years ago when the legend on the tapestry in botw took place

and in the recent delay news we saw link with a rlly honked up master sword sooo i think we’re gonna just be trying to fix it, not create it, cuz we already saw the creation of the master sword in skyward sword

i’m assuming any present events in the sequel will take place after the events of botw, so link should already have the master sword at that point, he just apparently rlly messes it up somehow

And true, we don't know for sure, but it really seems like it. There's definitely gonna be some kind of time aspect to the sequel. And if we know anything about time travel from SS, TP, OoT, MM, and PH, oh boy are with in for a doozy.

And that's what got me thinking too, like if we are fixing the Master Sword, how did Link get his hands on it in the first place? And I know we have the events of SS, but definitely this is on some other kind of thing.

Can we also talk about Zelda btw. Like Zelda in the past was already a powerful woman, but dang did BoTW do her justice.

basically i wanna be able to play as link and zelda in the sequel, with zelda in the present in the pit and link in the past trying to fix the master sword or whatever im hopeful for this bc links prosthetic arm seems to have runes in it which would let zelda have the sheikah slate so u could use the runes playing as both, and from a game dev standpoint her short hair is way better for preventing clipping and allowing her to carry items on her back like a sword and shield

and i hope links arm turns out to be cursed or something bc in the og teaser from 2019 u see like this malice-like red stuff attack his arm which is now the prosthetic one, cuz i rlly want a bossfight reminiscent of the puppet zelda bossfight from tp where zelda has to fight a possessed link

also i think botw zelda possesses the entire triforce, which would make her extremely powerful cuz there’s no indication of link having the triforce of courage since in all past games it’s like an important moment in the game and link would have the little hand tattoo, and i don’t think the calamity has it bc it’s not sentient nor human enough to possess it, it’s more of just like an entity thats evil

and when her power awakens the whole triforce is present in front of her hands and it might be complete on the back of her hand too, but idk for sure since i haven’t played the game in forever

I mean then again, the Triforce wasn't really a big part of BoTW. Like it's here and there, but you right about Zelda just HAVING it, especially at the end. yeah, it’s canon in the game that what happened is that the little guardian from the botw era time traveled in the past 100 years to prevent it from happening, but doing so created a parallel universe it’s not explained tho till after u finish the main game and it’s only mentioned in a loading screen tip so for the majority of the game i was like reeling from a few continuity errors it was still fun tho

one continuity error still remains tho which is master kogha— bc he’s an antagonist for part of the game in age of calamity which is set 100 years in the past but then he’s also alive and the same age in botw which is 100 years later???? so that never added up

zelda post-awakening in age of calamity is literally so op, if u level her up she’s basically indestructible if u use regular stasis it gives u the option to like to a bunch of successive hits and then release them all at once which is way more effective than any other character’s regular stasis ability, and if done right u can basically drain a lynel’s entire weak point gauge in one go

i guess for me i don’t rlly ship link and zelda so i dont see the relationship between them in botw they clearly care for each other as friends but they start out with her resenting him for having the master sword and he’s always with her to fulfill his duty, and that’s all i ever saw it as personally

also he’s totally goated in age of calamity, his playstyle definitely has a bit of a learning curve bc of his unique action — u press the unique action button at certain times during his combos to “enhance them with unending enthusiasm” which makes them more powerful and gives them a different ending, but the time at which u have to press the button to enact the action is 1) not told to u, and 2) different for every combo, and there’s like 7 different combos it’s so satisfying once ur good at it tho bc certain ones automatically reveal an enemies weak point gauge and/or stun them, and if u enhance the unique action later in the game, when done right it automatically gives u a stagger buff which means if u get hit you won’t fall down and get paused for a second which is super helpful bc sidon is such a large character and harder to dodge with sorry for the age of calamity infodump i doubt u know what any of this even means

ah good thing u didn’t lose any tho! i’m getting flashbacks to the very first ark shard where no one knew what they were doing and i kept getting hit by crabs when trying to collect my wl and then would lose more i think i lose 8 wl

whenever i see someone lose their light now the first thing i do is run and grab their wl first, then light them bc by the time u light them sometimes u run out of time to get the wl before it disappears

Also a tip: dont honk dat much cause the crab'os will come for u

🤔 I think that's a good strategy, or save up all the spells you can. Or just, let the height be. There'd be barely any difference than being a 1.20m unless someone with max height stands next to you in a very still manner.

I'm in the 85th for tallness but I figured to just stay as my height, that way I'll always have someone to look up to.

Be kind and courteous to others, kindness goes along way, just a while ago I helped out a newer player, they had friended me out of nowhere and so I took them with me to run, because of this they leveled up once and got 10 candles and WL, including dailies done.
