i started watching a few episodes of rise of the tmnt despite having absolutely zero interest in teen turtles who happen to be mutant ninjas, and the reason i started watching is because i saw a video of a well written autistic coded character (who is apparently also confirmed by the writers to be autistic!) and while watching that video the animation, art style, and writing honestly really pulled me in and now i wanna watch more

I've never seen the series myself, I've never seen anything TMNT, but it seems like it keeps finding me. First that one Splatoon 2 Splatfest (can't remember what I voted for round 2), then that video.

I like its art style, though. I should watch it.

Okay so here's a quick-read I've understood from the news article:
-It's a new virus possibly from the same genus as henipavirus. It's an RNA virus
-these viruses aren't observed being transmitted human-to-human
-It seems to be observed from some farmers
-It appears to be zoonotic (a.k.a a pathogen which can be transmitted to both humans and animals), spread by shrews possibly
-the pateients positive with the new virus had no history of contact with each other. Which means the virus may have been spread by the shrews

I wouldn't really worry about it. It's non-lethal and truth be told rabies is worse, and leptospirosis.

for the mushroom expert you would get a labcoat cape and a glowing shroom cap, the moleman would give you a digging pose and a mining cap, the bungee jumper gives you a bat call and a trampoline item, and the parkour expert gives you exploration based clothing and goggled mask.

The sound seems different depending on the area… I preferred how my instrument sounded in this hollow nook of this floating platform. I am on top of a tower now and there is less resonance! That and also I could swear the S. Candles were called the T. Candles at one point.

I would say the wiki has always been very accurate, with some small issues. Seasonal candles are also called seasonal light, but candle cakes and treasure candles are the same thing. Most everyone I have seen has called it one of those two terms.

So when you tap and drag the prop from the menu into the game area, a prop that has no collision will appear. It can be dragged while you move, and props that emit light by default will do so when fake-propping, thus making a makeshift lantern.

That's an interesting tech. Kinda similar to dragging the assembly tent around to protect yourself from Eden rocks.

Fer.al had a lot of issues with the economy I'm afraid, but the same thing won't happen in sky bc there's no trading and so there isn't a player economy in the same way. It was an unfortunate situation which basically involved some items being inflated to the point where they were impossible to get, and others being oversaturated so they were worth almost nothing. I wish that game had succeeded tho, it really had some good things going for it

I believe the page was named that because during Sky's First Anniversary Week TGC posted concept art the whole week and called it "7 Days of Sky" (You can check out the complied info also here https://sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/Seven_Days_of_Sky). The wiki admins had discussed fixing the event name while it was happening this year but I ended up waiting til after the event was over and off the front page so as not to create a mess during the event 😅 Anyway, the page has been renamed to "Sky Anniversary".

yknow what I find really interesting about sky? that cosmic mantas and jellies (which are a teensy lil bit cosmic) are depicted as creatures of light and that vault puts such emphasis on the night sky as a thing of beauty and joy despite the whole "day = good light, night = bad darkness" thingy.

maybe it's to do with how as one grows older, one begins to understand and appreciate the balance between darkness and light, being able to step back and see the big picture instead of only focusing on the brightness of the stars or the all-consuming night

or maybe I'm just rambling who knows

I mean, have you SEEN the big cosmic manta (who I like to call the momma of all mantas)? That thing would be TERRIFYING if it was a creature of darkness - but instead it's just vibin

maybeeeee it has to do with the theme of mortality overlapping with the stages of life?? at first you go through happy places like isle and prairie where nothing can hurt you, and in forest you get introduced to acid rain (and crabs) so you go "rain bad, rain scary!!!" after you go through valley, you forget about that for a while because you feel like you can do anything, and then you experience terror and fear of losing wl/getting beaned/dying in gw with all the dark water and black sludge. vault focuses heavily on memories (such as the different levels reflecting the different realms you've gone through before) so perhaps it is meant to be reminiscing upon your journey and how far you've come plus all the trials you've faced, and when you reach the summit you feel more prepared for the dangerous journey ahead. I think the idea is that when you reach the end of Vault, you know you are on the final leg of your journey to Eden, so it's supposed to make you feel a bit braver and less scared of ||dying/losing wl, which is what prompts you to sacrifice your own wl for the statues in the end|| once you come to terms with the fact ||everything must end|| and you're now ready and have accepted it

I remember having this one teacher in high school that did something savage. He was really cool, but every once in a while he'd give surprise tests. He wanted to check if we read instructions before doing things first, and a lot of people failed every time
