So...lately I havent beel able to play sky, and really miss my friends and feel guilty about it. I send them hearts, and even made a message boat explainign that i havent been feeling so good. I’d say definitely take a break. It’s not the end of the world if you have to drop the game for a couple of weeks or even months. It’s okay to stop, and start playing again when the mood strikes you.

i usually don’t take advantage of the idle wax areas that often tbh if i turn off my phone i usually get disconnected from sky in under a minute and i’m usually doing other things on my phone when not on sky so i don’t rlly afk in game at all, for me personally it’s just quicker for me to cr since i have a set route now that gets me to a grey candle pretty quickly

yeah that’s what i do, i have my whole cr lined up around the wax events starting with geyser so i only ever rlly cr the quest realm, candle cake realm, and vault— i can get down to no chevrons in an hour by just going to events which is super easy

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed this, but I just made an interesting discovery.

So you know how the Village Theatre flowers disappear after you pick one up, right? They actually respawn upon entering and leaving the map, so if you’re willing to make a couple of extra trips, you can actually clean up the rest of them instead of having to pick one from each side.

I accidentally forgot the WL in Theatre, and noticed that they were back when I came back for them.

the good part about bat hunting in the highlands is that the highlands camp is SURROUNDED by bats if you spawn at night if there's no active outbreaks i go there for tasks

If you have SwSh, it might not actually be the worst idea to start again in it. You can replace hatched Noibat with eggs in your party, and you can bind your sticks together with a hair tie or something to have your trainer spin in circles in the Wild Area. I used that trick myself for some Pokemon breeding.

if i’m honest my fav part of shield was buying outfits and making new league cards i’m a huge sucker for any sort of character customization in game, scarlet and violet looks like it takes that to a new level too with being able to change the size of facial features which looks rlly cool

For me, it was Max Raid Battles. I ended up with an excess of EXP Candies during my Nuzlocke because I just wanted to play more of them.

Which ended up being proven a bad idea later, but eh. Lesson learnt, I guess.

Yeah, Noelle and Keqing are just overall my favorite. I pulled them early from the beginner banners and they've been hard carrying me all the way through the game so far. Not too long ago I finally gave Keqing the Mistsplitter Reforged and she is a BEAST when it comes to elemental reaction damage.

MHM, her shield is so useful. I only have her at C1 but that's enough to do even more healing from her. And yeah her damage is jsut so good too. I just replaced Amber with Diona though so I can get even more healing.

i love how you made the first line of the manta being soft wings flowing to bright beacons, it's so soft/cozy/reassuring, like the manta. but then the last line was soft wings despairing against stone, mentioning the soft wings again, but this time in a more unpleasant and helpless way and merciless harness sounds like people may've been using them for transport without caring for them, just using a harness and not batting an eye at the manta's health. or maybe it's a manta-napping reference /j
and i love how you said the krill were hunters relentless to sate, insatiable hunger. i actually had a lore theory that, ||since krill are corrupted light creatures, the reason why they attack you is for your light. your winged light, your flame... just all your light. because i theorize the krill really want to return to their pre-corrupted form, the light manta, and they hope that by taking your light from you they can return to the form that was taken from them. but alas, it does not work...but they go... they still search for your light... they still hurt in order to try to go back...it doesn't work... but they only hope... stuck in the loop of despair...||insatiable hunger.

Ive always wondered how krills come to be, like are they just skykids or creatures of light corrupted by the darkness or do they just randomly spawn there?

Even if the Isle of Dawn was as fertile as it looked in the Nintendo Switch Edition Trailer, it likely didn’t have the correct nutrients in the soil/sand to cultivate fruit or other foods, so food was thus shipped there.
As such it’s probably likely the Pointing Candlemaker, Ushering Stargazer, Rejecting Voyager, and the unnamed Spirits we see in their memories died of starvation or illness.

I think right now, I’m in some weird middle ground with Sky. I both really love Sky and really look forward to playing it, and I don’t want to drop it - but at the same time, I’ll be the first to admit, same old, same old is really starting to tire me out. And I don’t know what else I can do to shake things up a bit.

Have you all ever gotten stuck in that phase? And if so, mind if I ask you all for advice on what I can do about it? I’m not sure I outright want to take a break, but I’m also not sure what else I can do, is why I ask.

I've been playing since 2021 and the great majority of the time I've only done dailies and the candle cake realm. Back before the geyser/grandma combo that meant I got like 8 candles a day BUT I haven't gotten sick of the game yet

personally i prefer shorter off-seasons bc i’m pretty impatient but getting 4 extra candles a day from quests is nice and considering aurora is a collab season i wouldn’t be surprised if off-season is a little bit longer after shattering ends

also if u want a super low effort and lazy cr if u don’t wanna cr but worry about not having enough candles for ts and such, going to every event during the geyser hour will drain almost all ur chevrons and only takes about an hour you do:
-geyser (+sanct)
-music sheet challenge in harmony hall (+dreams village and hermit valley candle cakes)
-grandma
-sunset event in sanct

unfortunately rn the sunset event isnt as lucrative as usual bc of the clam and flower bug, so my strategy to maximize it is to search for the largest clams in each area (on either side of the trench and then in the trench itself) since all the rest in each area will disappear after u pick one up

the key to it of course is being selective about which cosmetics you buy, but all in all a good slow pace is easier to maintain

starting at 50 minutes past the hour, sanctuary goes into sunset mode, by the island in the ocean straight out from jelly whisperer’s cave next to the trench u can find the turtle swimming either around the small island or underwater dropping wax behind it clams spawn around the trench and inside it as well, and burning the darkness off the turtle will make a big clam spawn on the beach for u to pick up as well

the addition of harmony hall and being able to practice any sheet with mellow musician + the ability to change the speed of music sheets now makes it a lot less daunting of a task for sure iirc the melody is very fast with a lot of notes, and for me being able to hear it being played for me helps a ton, i used to just watch videos of ppl playing the music sheets online to try and learn them bc i was terrible at figuring out the note timing on my own it’ll definitely still be challenging though i’m sure
