If you get past that somehow I think it then also tries to call to the app store or Google Play Store to download the rest of the assets
and it would then likely get stuck there
so... If Play Store is not showing the game or is saying your device isn't compatible, either try the suggestions in the pinned messages or do some heavy digging to see what exact specs your device has. These protections against downloading from outside sources rather than the main app store help deter the people out there who would love to make their own changes to the code, be it for cheats/hacks or adding malicious code.
so while it would be nice that they allowed that, there's certainly reasons not to allow it. Especially when the game is aimed at younger audiences and families.

A Galaxy S10+ isn't really a "leading flagship" in my eyes when Samsung has two different chipset versions for the same phone. Samsung's own SoC in that device is still slower than the Qualcomm version of that device. That isn't everything, but it certainly isn't something that can be swept under the rug.
Samsung devices have been kinda notorious for the amount of pre-installed bloat they usually come with. I have never owned one myself, so I cannot attest to the claims from experience, but that complaint has been noted quite a few times and its one of the reasons why I don't purchase them.
That being said... I don't understand max graphics quality when I'd rather have a faster framerate, so maybe I'm missing something.
I'm also saying this having come from playing the android beta on a pixel 2 initially, so I much prefer the framerate increase and am fine with the slightly lower quality the 60fps mode has.
Regardless of all of that, check to see what other apps are running in the background. If it's saying that nothing big is going on in the background and you still see the issues, maybe there's something else going on that you might want to check and be sure about.
If you visit the more sketchy sites more often than most, you may want to check to see if something unwanted is hiding.
Or, and this is possible, other legitimate apps you use or used to use have left behind stuff that should have been deleted or removed through updates and uninstalls.
Some apps or programs can be built a bit poorly and leave junk data behind over time.

that's good! keep in mind that it might take a while for a fix to come, the dev team has to prioritize major bug fixes and adding new content before fixing graphics issues (if they're not affecting gameplay too much)

@wise loom the framerate doesn't matter, screenshot images are supposed to snap to highest settings regardless. The S10+ may not be a flagship phone in your eyes because you clearly have never owned one but the reality is that it is because it comes at a resolution of 3040 x 1440, packing 550 pixels per inch, while the iPhone 11 Pro had a resolution of 2436 x 1125 with 458 pixels per inch. I don't want to get into the rest of the specs because there's google for that. A side from that I have my S10+ functioning at its highest potential, I've been loyal to the S and Note series for over a decade and I can assure you I've already done everything that figure out what's wrong. At the launch of Sky for Android up until Season of Sanctuary (using the same phone) the resolution was calibrated to it's best potential, I have screenshots to compare. It wasn't until Season of Sanctuary along with a multitude of bugs that happened in that timeframe, the game resolution got decreased and it's been like that ever since.

I've never been keen on having a flagship device. Already did that battle with HTC years ago and got stung by it. But since you have definite proof that something happened within a specific window and have the proof of that, good. Samsung been good for you, amazing. I have two devices to fill different roles and that is worth more to me than consolidating everything into one powerhouse. You seem to like having one powerhouse top spec phone and it works for you. Closest thing to a flagship that I run excluding camera and resolution is my RM5G, a phone meant for gaming.
I do feel your sentiments though. I've been through this kind of thing before with a couple of other games in the past so maybe I'm a bit numb to this. Robocraft tried to be World of Tanks but with blocks, Warframe is kicking itself by being too wide rather than deep, and Maplestory 2 tried to be something that it would never be. I've been there, I've dealt with that. What they don't have that TGC does are world events that hinder not just them but everyone. They had to push back the Switch version back in September because of the pandemic. I still have faith in the company because not all of this is their fault to begin with.

The A13 chip is not exactly a better SoC than the SD865+ down to numbers but it is definitely better supported by iOS and the fact that Apple never had different-branded devices for running iOS, so it is better there. I can give Apple credit where its due on that front because their stuff just works.

Instead of the SD765G, the T-Mobile version has the MediaTec Dimensity 1000C and a slightly smaller battery, otherwise it's the same phone.
And I went for this thing because it still has the dang headphone jack and I could buy the optional case that offers a second screen for multitasking.

Sky's button layout on DualSense controller is a perfetic joke, hear me out.
- There is L2 button that is dedicated to open the candle shop, while there is no, I mean NOT A SINGLE button that can open Friend Constellation.
- All the selection have to done with right analog stick, man I wish D-pad on the controller can do Something.
- There are only 2 button that can be used in interment (R1&R2).
- Triangle, R1, share, option, trackpad, left analog click are just there doing ＮＯＴＨＩＮＧ, there are absolutely no use of those button, while there is no way to open Friend Constellation.

There are thousands of unique Android devices, so it's hard to list them all. Here is a guideline for the minimum required specs:
-Android 8.0 Oreo or higher
-ARM 64bit with Neon
-At leas 1.5gb RAM
-OpenGLES 3.1 Extension Pack
-Vulkan Version 1.0.3 or higher
-Vulkan Level 0 or higher
-up to 3gb storage to download and install all levels
Recommended specs:

Because Samsung note 10 lite meets the minimum & recommended specs, You are (supposed) to be able to play Sky @oak anvil

However, there are other spec requirements that your device needs to fulfill, so I would recommend poking around the pins and the chat history to learn more about exactly what you'd need. @hard helm There are apps but again, external recorders. I believe Samsung assistant has a good one built in (not in game directly but yeah), but only for Samsung phones. Some will show less recording ui than the google one. Only iOS has a fancy in game one currently...

I actually met one of my best friends due to that bug... I help them fix it, but I don't think you're going to like the fix.
We determined the issue is with the phone, as I tried to log in to her account on my phone and it worked. having tried everything previously to her phone and nothing worked, we were forced to do a factory reset. That did fix the issue. However you can still try clearing the app data...
Just make sure that you have your save synced to an account first.

There are things you can do to get better performance in the sky. try to keep the background applications running on your phone to a minimum. the GPU in your phone isn't powerful enough to run Sky 100% smooth but... the lag is coming from the CPU not being able to keep up with the load.
A method of doing this is turning off background applications in the developers options.

The problem here is that there is no deffinition of high resolution there. What if you made a 4k picture and its downgrades to 1080p. We don't know that. You should change settings in google photos if 15gb is enough for you and you want to keep initial resolution

@near dagger I believe the log in relates to the account your connected to in google play, so you might have to switch that for that. If you mean the link option, you can't switch manually unless you're using facebook afaik

Try using the screen recorder in RealMe UI... That should be better optimised compared to the Google Play one
I have the Mi A3 which has the same SoC and screen recorder (the one inbuilt with Android AOSP 10) works like a charm with little to no performance hit

Hi, I just tried recording with the bottom right video button and it tells me "You are already recording" after the screen goes white. No controls for video appear.
There was one bug report of the same issue, but this is the first time I've ever had it (made recordings before without issue).
Is anyone aware of the reason for this? Like something in settings I can fix?

@fast hearth It depends which one. A lot of them are 32 bit and sky will not run on that. If you mean the newer ones, the 2019 8.0 and 9.7 ones are still 32 bit iirc, but the 2019( 10.1 one is 64 bit for example, so make sure to check that according to your tablet specifically. For the other requirements, you can check in the pins!
