The first option will likely not do anything to the game at all. As it only affects OpenGl ES 2.0 not 3.1 or Vulkan.
The second opinion will cause the device to work harder when using apps like Facebook. Still may have no effect on Sky.

You sure can pair a Dualshock 4 with your android phone. After you paired the controller with the phone. Then you will need any kind of screen mirroring to your TV via Chromecast or screen mirroring via casting tab in quick settings. I think it will lag a lot as there is latency and delays when screen mirroring.
If your device can connect via HDMI it would be better.

Every time you open the game, sky grades your GPU. If your GPU passes the test, the third lightning bolt, AKA 60fps will be available. If it fails then you will be locked at 30fps.

U may try to download it first in the playstore. Most of the time there will be a prompt messages wether u can download/play it or not. One is on the playstore and the other one is when you are now trying to access the game itself.

I wanted to ask... I have asked this before but I didn't really get a straight answer... Has anybody witnessed any weird mapping issues with Xbox controllers on Android? Every controller I have and I have official and off brands... They all have the same mapping issue on every phone I've tested them with. Whenever pressing the right trigger button it acts as if I'm holding the right stick permanently in up direction. It makes every game unplayable. I'm forced to use the PS3 or PS4 controller.
I tried looking it up online and... It's as if the problem doesn't exist.

I just straight can't get to that second menu item with a controller. Right stick isn't doing anything to it at all, and I have tried every position possible around him. (This isn't tied to just this spirit, mind. Every "in world" menu does this for me)
A controller options menu is the top wish for me. Sensitivity adjustments, and custom binding if we're thinking ambitiously

32-bit applications can run on a 64-bit OS, but a 64-bit application cannot run on a 32-bit OS. The developers would have to recode Sky from scratch in order to rebuild it for 32 bit. Considering the issues they are having with the current build, it is very unlikely they're going to add yet another layer on their shoulders.
Most devices that have a 32-bit operating system likely won't play the game well or at all.
(assuming someone put a 64-bit operating system on them)

The fault is the manufacturers. It's cheaper to develop a 32-bit operating system then a 64-bit operating system. So in order to save on money they put a 32-bit operating system on their mid-range and low tier phones.

The Google Pixel 2 has the minimum requirements to run Sky at max settings. It can be gotten for 1-3 hundred USD depending on where you look.
As far as mid-range goes... I can't think of any. but there are a few flag ships that are several years old that should be able to pull it off.

Snapdragon is a type of SoC. That means system-on-a-chip. Adreno is the GPU found inside of Snapdragon SoCs. Mali is also a type of GPU. And is not comparable. Adreno can be compared to Mali.@smoky anvil

Dont ever enable any sort of battery saver mode on your device while playing any game, it will limit the usage of your processor and slow you down considerably, especially if your device is not very powerful to begin with.
Battery saver is only helpful for well, saving battery and cooling down your device.
But it comes at a cost, performance.

Ah, sorry to hear that Saki. It's possible that you may be experiencing lags due to insufficient memory space. To help, try force quiting background apps before you launch Sky. Alternatively, do check your internet connectivity. Sometimes a choppy connection leads to lags as well.

60fps is the highest framerate. This is correct. Sky plays at the resolution of your phone. (Pixel density, not frames per second).

Battery saver is supposed to shut off all non-essential services or the foreground app. I would suspect foul play from a manufacturer who doesn't follow stock procedures like that. What services are they not shutting off in the background? That's the real question.

That phone fits the minimum requirements to play sky from the spec sheet. However you may need to check whether or not it is 32-bit or 64-bit. There is apps on the play Store that will tell you which one your phone is.

They used to run but had crashes in game. 0.10.5 made them crash on loading assets in home. Most likely a render call on the boats that isn't in the driver of the PowerVR GPU

Odd question, but when we had the funky strobe lighting, did your phone crash as often? I think it might be due to how the game asks the GPU to render lighting or shadows that is causing PowerVR to crash as it lacks the proper formula in the kernel to handle lighting requests in Vulkan.

Okay, I found out as to part of the reason why the game is crashing.
For some people, the reason why the game is crashing cause of an error,"unsupported renderable internal format" you can find it in the system log right after your game crashes.
Basically, it means that your device is missing a component that makes it possible to load the game. Or your device/the game fails to activate it.
So you don't bave a way to fix it, we'll need to wait for the next update/patch
Or, your device has it, its just not being set off properly.
Or the coding for the rendering doesn't work properly with your device
So if anyone is wondering why your game is continuously crashing in 0.10.5 (153939) , this could be the reason why

- When the device has powered back on, navigate to the Settings app and scroll down to the Game Center menu option.
- Sign out of Game Center.
- Turn off Airplane mode and then turn on your Wi-Fi.
- Log back into Game Center.

Okay, I just realized. When I Uninstaller the app the moment rhe game started tk crash, and installed bacn in. Update 0.10.5 wasn't included in the installation >->

If you used Facebook to save your Sky progress, you can unlink it yourself.
For google email, you'd have to ask Customer Support to help you to relink. I'm not sure if they can do that currently though

I don't know what you mean by unstable. From a "closest to stock Android" phone, like Pixels, the game runs flawless, even on the latest Google security updates. Sadly, due to OEMs putting in their own custom code or forgetting key rendering components, the game has issues. That isn't TGCs fault or the game's. I do commend them for trying to fix these issues, but at the same time, the beauty of the game is reduced due to trying to get more devices, like PowerVR GPUs to work with Sky. (The current game crash being a rendering driver in Vulkan that is missing in PowerVR GPUs)

Okay, I found out as to part of the reason why the game is crashing.
For some people, the reason why the game is crashing cause of an error,"unsupported renderable internal format" you can find it in the system log right after your game crashes.
Basically, it means that your device is missing a component that makes it possible to load the game. Or your device/the game fails to activate it.
Or, your device has it, its just not being set off properly, or Or the coding for the rendering doesn't work properly with your device .So you don't bave a way to fix it, we'll need to wait for the next update/patch.
So if anyone is wondering why your game is continuously crashing in 0.10.5 (153939) , this could be the reason why

In the EULA, it states: "You may not use any unauthorized third-party software that intercepts, βmines,β or otherwise collects information from or through the Game, including without limitation any software that reads areas of RAM used by the Game to store information about a character or the game environment; provided, however, that we may, at our sole and absolute discretion, allow the use of certain third-party user interfaces;"
Does this include using Android's built in logcat when reporting a bug?
Since logcat does give pretty much all information the game asks for at a system level?
