The screenshot button takes a screenshot of the environment without the UI. if you want to capture everything on the screen you'll have to use an external screen capturing software.

Most Android devices also support a screenshot shortcut. Usually volume down + power for most Pixel, OnePlus, Motorola, etc or bixby + power or something for newer Samsung devices.
Some power menus also support screen capture as shown in the attached image.

I can suggest the Samsung Galaxy A20. It's cheap and does have a little performance issues. Though, is a pretty solid well-rounded phone as it does not encounter the glitches very often. Anything from OnePlus should do great as well.

DrapTrap, that isn't the issue with the Z2 and Z3 play. 64 bit Android was out when those phones were around. I know, the flagship version of the Z2 Play (the Z2 Force) is 64 bit. I built kernels for it.
90% of Manufacturers will build a 32 bit version for their budget phones to save on developments time. Building a 32 bit OS is quicker due to less complex code.
A 64 bit build takes about 2 hours to build Android while a 32 bit build is 30mins. When you're running test builds (where you build around 10-15 times before a final build is done) that extra time is precious.

The game works fine on my phone, there's sometimes some surprise crashes here and there or a few bugs, but after that it works fine. Sanctuary seems to be the only place where I crash a lot,, almost immediately.

i think sanctuary uses a lot more resources and RAM to run the map, next patch will have a bunch of optimizations for the islands as Ktjn said here, so don't worry!

My game is crashing more, shipwreck and GW has 50/50 chance of crashing if I take photo, and forest sometimes gives me psychedelic clouds in forest. Pretty and cool but I can't see jack and its all over my screen. Ironically taking an in-game photos resets the pixels.

30fps should be plenty to enjoy the game. if your device is able to technically handle higher than 30fps then you should have no lag. I personally would love a device that could do that

it's one that isn't very user friendly. It's called EX kernel Manager. I only suggest getting it if you plan on using Flar2's ElementalX kernel or a kernel derived from it's code.

I tried doing that sanctuary challenge but nope, i couldn't click a single pic when i was in sanctuary idk what the problem is but i can't snap any pics! When i tap the take photo icon it crashes the game! Though i can click it in home and other places but idk why this is happening! I double checked the permissions of the app and I've enabled all of it, even after all that it isn't responding! Can't take a single shot, please fix or give me an update what should i do in order to fix it!

It's a known issue that the in game camera is crashing the game for a few android users when inside the sanctuary area, you can however join the challenge by taking a picture anywhere else using one of sanctuary's emote, as state in the latest #news post! Good luck and have fun

That's not exactly how it works. The emoji has to be placed by the person sending it. The QR doesn't have one in it by default.

Downloading Sky via means other than Google Play or AppStore are against ToS, and heavily discouraged.
If Sky isnt showing on Google Play for them, then their device is not compatible with Sky, and will not work on their device regardless of where they get it from.

Hi @tame vessel, TGC will not be able to provide support to your friends Sky account should any untoward incidents occur as V-appstore is not one of the official stores Sky is available on.
While V-appstore is vivo's default store, it simply serves as a repository of android apps, and is not a proper substitue for Google Play or App Store in this case.

@bold minnow If the problem is that Google automatically connects you on a google account that you don't want to be connected to. You will need to open google play games go on the settings and disable auto-connection (and make sure that google play games and google play store are connected on the desired account.) then go on the sky's setting (where u can uninstall the game) and clear all data and cache. After you should be able to connect to the google account of your choice. If it did not work redo all the steps but uninstall the game in the sky's setting. And reinstall it with the right account. Hope that it helped you. After everything is done you should be able to reactivate the google auto connect feature.

@still vigil there is a way to be sure if its compatible go on the web version of the google play store and you will see this if the phone is gray on the list then its not compatible. If its not there then you are on the wrong google account.

Android 10 allow single app volume manipulation. However, the manufacturer has to enable it. If your phone is Samsung you can find it in the Galaxy Store.

Ive recently gotten hold of a Galaxy Note 8, and im pretty sure that its quite the powerful device, a good ways stronger than my iphone 7. And yet sky runs way worse on it. Is android really that much less optimized? Or is it the optimization for specifically the note 8? Or am i doing something wrong?

Same goes for you Ireza (?)(Sorry I honestly cant read that character), TGC managed to fix screenshot crashes a few updates ago, but with the introduction of Sanctuary, that bug has returned. However, crashes will only happen if you've visited Sanctuary in your session. If you haven't visited Sanctuary or restart your game after visiting Sanc, you wont crash while taking screenshots.

Not weird at all. Sanc has not been optimised for Android, but an upcoming update will fix that. For now most Android phones are know to either crash in Sanc or crash while taking pics either in Sanc or after exiting Sanc.
A recommended tip is to always restart your game after visiting Sanc to prevent further memory leaks (which is what some suspect causes the crashes).
Its possible that you being krilled in GW also increased memory usage, which was what led to your crash.

It is very similar to my SD670. Only difference is the CPU (our GPUs are Adreno 615 for 670 and 612 for 675 respectively) and when 60 FPS was enabled for my phone, the GPU got to 80C

Kirin chipsets don't handle Vulkan API that well, so not recommended even if 60 fps was enabled for it. For GPUs that have 60 FPS enabled, best to check the pins.

Seems the Kirin 980 has the Mali-G76, so 60 FPS is enabled for it. I would make sure the device you get is compatible for Sky though (must have Google Play services and built on a 64 bit OS)

You could find a device with the Snapdragon 835. That is 60 FPS capable and old enough it shouldn't be too much. The Pixel 2, 2XL, Motorola Z2 Force have the 835, 64 bit and on Android 8.0/10 respectively and should be available for you, no?

Sky is a demanding game, and the A50 phone doesn't have top of the line specs since its not a flagship phone, so it wont run as smoothly as you wish

players and friends will disappear/split server if you're too far away from them in a map, like if you're at one end of the map and your friends are at the other end. if its because you're too far away, try investing in the warp feature in your friend tree because that will teleport you to where they are.
it could also be an issue with your internet connection.

If it happens when you move areas, then you just need the lead to not move for a bit once they enter the new area. If it happens mid flight then definitely internet connection and not much you can do

And same, the wifi I have at home is good otherwise. (Although tbh, never tried using anything to check the deeper details, I only know i can watch videos smoothly and I have a full connection bar, so it might be worth checking, for you too). I just end up using data to play instead, it makes it smoother.

The game starts glitching out when in the Sanctuary Islands, only in the starting area though, with the floating islands high up. I have a Samsung S9, the game runs pretty smoothly apart from occasional framedrops. In the Sanctuary Islands it's the only instance where I get changes in color (portions of the grass change color) and things quickly disappearing and reappearing (flickering)

Hey @mighty edge (again sorry for the late reply and ping too ) Sanctuary on the current verision of Sky is not optimised for Android phones. This is why you're experiencing texture bugs (and possibly lag times and crashes in Sanc). TGC is hoping to roll out an update that fixes this and optimises Sanc for Android soon.

I have had a situation where a friend lit my candle but they were in the very top slot and were unaccessible. However, this only occurred when I cast my screen to my laptop and it reconfigured the screen for a 16 by 9 ratio. Whenever I stop casting and it went back to its original screen ratio that part of the constellation was accessible again. I don't know if this is any help, but that has been my experience.

That could be an isolated issue for one device. It could be an artifact from an odd update. It could be anything. Sadly with Android, there is a bunch of variations to consider and usually flickering of lighting and textures is mainly a device specific issue. It is also a Redmi Note 9S, which has a fairly common SoC. User claims it has been an issue in previous builds meaning it isn't new, but other people with the SD 720G haven't reported this issue.
It could be with how that Manufacturer built the drivers in the Kernel compared to other Companies.
Before saying a game has a huge bug, please understand the nature of the bug report and the frequency of the report and how many users are impacted. One user out of hundreds of thousands isn't a huge bug (It could be an issue with their device, bad coding on the manufacturer on the drivers, etc). I did a search for "in: #beta-bugs-android light flicker" and there was only that 3 results in the last two weeks. "in:#beta-bugs-android Sanctuary crash" has a lot more results.
I also don't see how a small issue like "flickering lights" is a larger bug than the game outright crashing >.>

If they were able to replicate it, they might have a fix ready to be pushed by next build. I am just going off what they have stated, the next live build will have improvements for Sanctuary crashing.

I'm having some issues with joining my friends and seeing other players? This issue happened today, in the morning. It's 4 pm here now and no changes.
Sky works for me just fine, if you take out the lonely vibe I'm getting since no players are appearing at all,, the other problem is that I cannot join my friends that Sky shows as online, and as for my friends, Sky shows I'm offline.
I tried closing and re-opening the app (or restart) and restarting my phone, but there's still no changes. I haven't tried reinstalling sky yet though.

Hmm, in that case it could be due to the new update causing mid-range Android devices to crash at this exit. I see that you've also posted moth pics, that is a common visual bug, although before this it was temporary and usually resolved quickly on its own.
It's possible that you've experienced a new bug with the update. What you can do is report both the moth visual bugs and exit crash at #report-a-live-bug. This will let TGC know that a possible bug exists, and what devices are affected by it. If you can gather the phone model of your friends who crashed and add that into your report, it would be very helpful as well.

As Amn said, we need to know your device model and if it is happening in a certain area. I quickly hopped on and went to sanct to test and grabbed all candle cakes and darkness wax in that area with no issues on my Pixel 3a just now on the update.

As someone who has had no issues with the crashing issue, I feel for my Android brethren who have suffered the crashing in Sanctuary Islands and hope it gets fixed soon or a way to make it up to those who cannot complete or even participate the season due to it.

It is extremely frustrating as i haven't managed to collect all the spirits, winged lights and can't do the quests either 😭 I've put almost £30 into the game this month and now i can't play the one part which i paid for. I don't even know why it's happening or even if it is being fixed.

They are working diligently to get the problem resolved. They did some optimizations in the area to help reduce the stress on lower end devices on the new update. If you can, please submit a bug report in #bug-reports-android. The more reports, the higher likeliness of them pinpointing the issue.
The sad thing about android is it's segregation in code on the OS where debugging is very hard unless they can replicate consistently on their own devices, which they might not be able to for this issue.

The info of device and OS gives them the idea of who it affects which can help them use a debugging VM if possible (que in skybots response here, no I do not condone using a VM, but in the development world, it helps debug problems like this)

The A10e "would" be compatible if it was running on a 64-bit operating system. Considering it has nearly the same hardware as the A20, which is compatible.

If it helps, most Android Major updates, like 7,8,9,10 were officially released on Google devices and OnePlus devices between mid August and late September depending on stability and world events. With current world events and a beta 2.5 being released a little bit ago (July 22), I think we might be seeing it being released to those phone early to mid September. All speculation of course.

Sky doesn't allow for any input customization so generic PC controllers usually won't work unless they show up as Xinput on a computer
