Hey, i want to ask about account recovery, so my friend had a problem with her phone so she played sky and linked the account to her brother's email. Now, she wanted to unlink her brother's email and change it to her own google email. However, at the account tab the "unlink" button is available, but doesn't work when clicked. Is it possible to unlink an account without losing progress? (my friend's phone is android)

Can you clarify what you mean by "out of focus", actually? Lag is when your game jumps frames, also called stuttering sometimes.

Might be worth checking permissions for all apps, in your device's settings, too. A lot of apps have "run in background" permissions, and they're often not necessary at all.

If not, and you don't mind losing the little progress she did make, clearing all of the app's data might help.

Maybe there's a corrupted file on your phone, from Sky, and that's what's preventing the download. Clearing the app's data should remove these corrupted files, if they're there.

Its common for android users to crash when leaving shipwreck. You can either have a friend go through and teleport to them in battlefield, walk through the portal very slowly on your own, or just run through and be prepared to restart several times, or go around. The first one is the best way for time since you can just go home and teleport

@red pawn I still have the deep call bug on Android, but I've found a workaround: Press your left thumb on the far left side of the screen (somewhere that's /not/ your character) to engage the movement "thumbstick" slightly. Then press and hold on yourself with your right thumb to do a deep call.

(The bug seems to be because the game prioritizes movement input over pressing-and-holding on your character when touching the left side of the screen. So you can kind of "fool" it by showing it that your left thumb is already pressing somewhere else; then it interprets a second press as your right thumb, even if it's on the left-hand side of the screen.)

I have friended on Sky like 80-90 ppl via qr most of them but my constellation only shows like 60+. I know people say it just shows a limit amount in the constellation but it has been already some few weeks and I keep having the same people in the constellation. Where are the other 20? I don't think they casually poofed in the same days and I have moths that haven't came in game months and are still in my constellation. Is this some issue or usually constellation friends are like this? stickerGloomy

@rustic dew I did choose my phone with the same optic as you in mind, good for game especially Sky and not too expansive, my choice was a Xiaomi mi9t and it work like a charm, the only complain I can make is it's not possible to play it in 60fps, but it's still smooth and loading between zones are quick SkyYay

Yeah it does @deft crane - I haven't tried it on my Android (phone) but have tried it on my iPad, it links really quickly and I can do everything except click on the 2nd icon at the quest giver (I can't switch between the exclamation mark and the seasonal-icon-thing, so I have to tap my screen for that). The only downside of this being that you can only link your PS4 controller to either your mobile device or your PS4, so you have to re-link it to the other device if you wanna use that one again

I considered buying the Steelseries Nimbus specifically to use with my mobile devices but figured getting a 2nd controller for my PS4 would be better as it's cheaper than the Nimbus and now I have a 2nd controller for if a friend ever comes over to play on the PS4 :P

Select the controller in settings to pair it.

Yes. Overheating has always been a problem on android and lower end devices. There were some bugs in the most recent updates that made it worse. Optimizations are always happening

the game is and will continue to be very taxing on both the CPU and GPU of any device - and optimizations are really hard to streamline with thousands of different devices to account for. the last patch attempted to improve things for low-end devices but resulted in more issues for high-end ones. the best we can do is to take frequent brakes, play without a phonecase/in front of a fan and such. the overheating will likely persist for a long time unless the game is significantly changed

That sounds like an issue with the Play Store itself, rather then Sky.
I had a similar problem (not with Sky) for an array of different apps a while ago.

Edit: I ended up using an external recorder suggested to me in another channel! The audio works now 😊

Second edit: Also there seems to be a screen recording feature accessible from the quick access/notification panel! Very handy! I never noticed it on my phone before

I really wouldn't mess with the settings. Trying to modify your bootloader can have irreversible effects on your phone, and you'll probably have to reinstall Android all over again.

I have two phones at my disposal compatible with Sky. One of them is the Samsung Galaxy S7, the other is the Samsung Galaxy A20. The S7 plays the game smoothly without issue, whereas the A20 lags a lot. The conundrum is which one should I use. The S7 has severe battery problems and dies very quickly, even on charge. The A20 is able to last six hours idling in the prairie before it dies.

I started playing on the A20, so the performance jump when I got the S7 felt like a godsend.

The S7 was my grandmother's, heavily loved.

that trick worked for me. When playing too long, my cpu got over 65 °C so it thermal throttled. By using a pc fan, i can now run it on max without a problem.

On apple devices it is "easier" to implement. on android you would just need to have a look at the running apps. thats rather easily possible. But it is the descition of the developers. i hope they will add at least a swich to use headphones.

handles sound... if you start a youtube video, the spotify song stops, but when you have the song running it is not a problem. When using spotify as an example the game could just have a look at the active notifications. thats possible without extended rights.

Not in all cases. Some files can remain after uninstalling an app, which may be corrupted. Clearing all data can remove them.

I know a lot about how Android works. When you click clear data it resets the app back to factory. If there are files that would remain after uninstalling, those files would still be there after clearing the data.

There's one application I found that stores it's settings externally. And that is the dolphin emu***or.

Sky however doesn't really have any settings to save. In fact if you have your save saved to a Google account you would log straight in like normal after a full reinstall.

Now that I'm thinking about applications that have this feature, Minecraft is one of them. If you set the setting to have your saves external they will still be there after a full reinstall. But if the saves are internal they will be deleted along with the app.

@fast hearth There is no option to turn sound off in Sky. Your best bet is to use a seperate app that controls individual app volumes. I recommend Sound Assistant by Samsung

Has one ever wondered why when they download a screen recorder the screen recorder never record internal audio. (Some proprietary built-in screen recorders do have this feature though) It is very hard to detect music being streamed through Android. Also there are hundreds of different music players, it would be very difficult to find out which is which. In other words, thanks to the way Android works the headphones will be very difficult to put in there accurately. Even if they do manage to implement it, you will always have that one device that doesn't work.

If Google Play says your device isn't compatible, your hardware is likely not powerful enough to play Sky. Even if you did manage to bypass the "restriction", you probably wouldn't be able to play.

tgc continues to work on the issue with crashing in wasteland (as well as other areas such as forest and eden). they know the crash is occurring specifically due to an issue with graphics rendering on certain devices, but they're yet to find a way to reliably reproduce the issue. unfortunately, fixing a bug isn't feasible until they can reliably reproduce it. this persistent bug has been tough to crack, hopefully it can be fixed soon SkyPray
