Not necessarily a punishment, TGC is just trash at coding and keeping their game playable, Sky isn't the best on most androids. Sky was originally optimized for ios, they then had to optimize it for a thousand if not million different androids which isn't possible obviously. Certain androids are just also just badly made and might not handle Sky as it should

One thing to check out is the company's history on keeping their devices up to date. The Google Pixel lineup is guaranteed to have 3 years of regular updates, so they won't be stuck on an older version of Android. OnePlus also is very regular with recent updates. It seems Samsung is also keeping updates for their flagship phones. (the S series).

In short, for manufacturer support, Either Google, OnePlus or a Samsung Flagship like the S22.

Other manufacturers are great if you don't care about updates. Xiaomi has had a history of breaking safetynet in their updates. (temporarily locking out updates for apps that require you to pass, like Sky and Netflix) So those might not be the best unless you do research before updating the OS

When you open Sky on Android, you just choose Nintendo sign in method and it will pull your Sky account attached to it. As for best, it would be any "flagship" phone. Sadly, for Sky 90% of budget option, if not more, will not be compatible due to one of many requirements, but usually is due to the manufacturer lowering costs by developing the OS as 32 bit instead of 64 bit. This trend has been alleviated recently, but there is still one glaring issue with budget mobile chips: They all have shoddy GPUs. The cost cutting went there, since besides higher end gaming, the more powerful GPU is just a waste in the overall cost of the chip. (most budget phones that are compatible lag badly due to the low end GPU in them)

To be honest, any "top tier phone" in the last three years would run Sky pretty well. Some examples are the OnePlus 7 and Newer would play the game at 60 fps with no issues. The Samsung Galaxy S10 and newer would play the game at 60 fps smoothly, and any Pixel newer than the Pixel 2 (except the a models, they only support 30fps due to being budget options) from Google would play the game smoothly also at 60 fps.

A few months ago, there was an issue on Google Play Store that could not update Kakao Talk. (Kakao Talk is a famous chat app in our country.) Kakao Talk induced emoticon payments to be bypassed by links rather than in-app payments, and Google didn't release their updates for months because they dislike that.
And Sky........There's a That Skyshop. It travels to the web on a link and sells goods. Maybe Google is dislike about it so.. This is my "guess" but If this is real, TGC should only raise the price of the goods on Android.............I might have to buy an iPhone.....

I know that like the ddos attack, its not tgc's fault but as it turns out the majority of my friends are on ios or switch and I can't play with them right now thats honestly what bothers me the most, but I'm glad we're at least able to still play the game and aren't stuck on a message saying we need to update while there is no update (though I heard this has happened to some people? 😭). Me neither. I flew on top of all & took various pics. I tried a 2nd time still nothing. It did not let me in a 3rd time so it didn't even show up to do 2nd part of shards so I could. Guysssss, i installed Huawei AppGallery on my Poco phone and install the Huawei Sky version in it. Before i created Huawei ID and link my sky account to Huawei ID. Now it's working, i have my sky updated via the AppGallery. Just a reminder Huawei not using Google service anymore, so any purchase in app you must do it via the AppGallery
