no need to pay, you just needed a reddit account and go to r/place to play. The adoption thing is the term we used to state that, despite being inside our boundaries and we "defending" them, the lemon, flower tv and owl wasn't really our art, we just defended them instead of spanding and erasing them! (lemon and tv folks were really impressed to see we kept them for so long)
