hey everyone -- i'm new to drawing digitally and am looking for some help! i'm trying to draw the little orange sparkles from the vault of knowledge. i'm not really happy with how they are turning out. any advice? i'm using krita, and i attached a reference image too i just used some outer glow effects, but it doesn't look very good

Hmm, you could try using luminescence if the app you use allows it on the layer

Sometimes we can encounter art block when we're unconsciously setting our expectations too high, especially when we're trying to experiment. I'm not sure if that's what you're doing here or if this is your normal style, but don't feel afraid to make some errors or be more loose and free with your art! Part of the experience involves failure in order for us to achieve success.

Personally, I really like it and the coloring style, but perhaps try a different method of coloring, maybe inspired by a favorite artist or something!
