I try to just figure out what angle of lighting is best, whether that means moving a lamp or holding up the drawing. I often turn the saturation down and brightness up a little too.

Drawing braids is interconnecting chain of diamond shapes. Try to think of it like that, a pattern vs trying to get the texture etc right. You can easily do this by drawing Xs on top of each other. Or draw a thick curved line shape and draw a chain of Xs stacked vertically going through. Start there. It’s easier than you think!

I was thinking… to help “combat” or get around the snake you could use that bright orb prop and it would be cool if it vibrated because the snake listens/feels vibrations. Thus, the snake goes after it and you can fly/walk without worrying about making too much noises.

Unpopular opinion,, chicken scratching is very much okay as long as its comfortable for you \o/ doesnt matter if others see that technique as ugly.. of course its important though to also experiment and find confidence in lines
