I'm not an expert but
I think it would help when you don't only use any type of air brush for the light
It's good so far !
But just suggesting maybe you could use hard brushes at the ends of the subject much like this !
Noted tho that the light source of the image I used is in the front instead of the background
What I'm talking abt tho is when some parts of the subject is very close to the light source you can use hard brushes to accentuate the lighting
But I'm no professional, though YouTube has some great art tips for lighting !

well take in consideration of where the skid is for the colours. Are they underwater? If so, a bluer hue could make it look good, the red eyes do glow, so it's a light source. Put everything in thought, then plan, then draw
